I watch wrestling for the spectacle and big angles and matches. I enjoy a great match, but great workers are a dime a dozen. Being a true draw is much rarer and has far more worth than being good in the ring.
Jericho has been very entertaining and has had some great matches, but he has never been a top guy. There is a reason he has so many IC title reigns.
His skill set has him a tier below the very top guys his whole career.
Don't see how you can justify him going over a massive star and icon of the business.
It would be like Mr Perfect going over Hulk Hogan.
