* As noted before, Legendary Entertainment recently signed a deal with Capcom for the film & tv rights for the Street Fighter series. Capcom recently confirmed that a new live-action Steer Fighter film is currently in production by them and Legendary.

* Longtime Halos series developer Joseph Staten announced that he has recently left Microsoft. Official reason given was due to him wanting to go in a new direction for his career. Prior to his departure, Staten had been involved in Halo series since the first game, first as a cinematic director and eventually as the creative director.

* According to Variety, the recently released Super Mario Bros film broke the record for largest ever opening-day box office for an animated film at $377 million in global revenue and is currently expected to become the highest grossing film for this year. The previous record was held by 2019 film Frozen 2.
