The bigger problem being, they have had the time and the talent to build a better show, but they squander the girls who can wrestle in favor of what they consider the most masturbatory material you can see online at another time. And the people who are going to watch a wrestling show are getting a sub-par wrestling show compared to the show they could have had with the litany of talent available to them.

It would be like if the NFL decided which players make the playoff roster not by being good at their respective positions for the regular season and getting their team wins, but how cute they are! That ugly-ass running back who got all the yardage all season will be benched in that playoff run... then when fans complain, the NFL says "well, see nobody wanted that team to succeed anyhow".

If the PPV was building to something like Asuka vs Ember Moon (before they killed Asuka and banished Athena to the depths of whogivesafuck - you know; keeping their NXT pushes intact), there would be the air of "YO, YOU GOTTA SEE THIS!!!"
