NJPW President Harold Meij announced today at a press conference in San Francisco that the promotion will be returning to Long Beach this fall with Fighting Spirit Unleashed. It will be held on September 30 and will once again be at the Walter Pyramid.

In addition, two shows featuring only Young Lion talent will take place in Anaheim on November 10 and November 11. These shows will be called The Lion’s Break, possibly similar to smaller scale young lion events held in Japan called Lion’s Gate Project.

This would be the third time New Japan has ran a big show in California this year. Along with Strong Style Evolved back in March, they will be running one of their most ambitious international events yet tomorrow with the G1 Special in San Francisco event at the Cow Palace.

"We were troubled to hear the allegations that surfaced last night on Twitter. We take these matters very seriously and will be investigating this situation thoroughly, reviewing all evidence related to the matter. Ring of Honor strives to provide an environment and workplace where male and female wrestlers are free from any misconduct or abuse. We will take appropriate action upon the conclusion of our findings."

The statement was also provided to PWTorch who ran a story about the situation on Thursday.

When asked if the company would also release a statement from Shipman or provide a timeline in which their investigation would take place, their PR firm said the statement was all they had. At this point, Shipman hasn't made any public statement.

AXS' Mark Cuban spoke to Sports Illustrated ahead of Saturday’s show at the Cow Palace, which will air live on the channel. He hyped up NJPW as the “best pro wrestling in the world” and the “best in the business at long-term storytelling that has a payoff.” He also said AXS is excited about new NJPW president Harold Meij and his goal of increasing English-language content. On the subject of live shows on AXS, Cuban said: “They are a great way to reward viewers of the weekly show and to increase the fanbase in the United States. The viewership and social engagement for live specials in the U.S. explodes as it expands the audience outside of those who will stay up all night for events from Japan.”

Cody Rhodes appeared with his hair dyed black at a press conference today prior to challenging for Kenny Omega’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship at the Cow Palace tomorrow. Brandi Rhodes said that Cody dyed his hair for a role on a television show.

It was 100% a botch. Batista was supposed to throw Cena over the top and win but the momentum sent them both over the top to the floor, which led to Vince McMahon coming out (getting injured entering the ring) and restarting the bout. It was one of those moments where reality crept into wrestling and they had to figure out a way to get back to the planned finish.

During an appearance on the Steve Austin Show, Amore noted that a friend’s girlfriend was emailed by someone who said they were an investigator and said someone had made a claim against a wrestler. He said his lawyer looked into that in December and couldn’t find anything that was going on. Amore was released from WWE on January 23, the day after the allegation was made public.
According to a report from Fightful, the victim going public about this alleged incident actually ended making things a lot harder for her case and the police's investigation. Links: http://www.prowrestlingsheet.com/enz.../#.W0AGA9hKgW8 , https://www.fightful.com/wrestling/e...er-went-public
