Apparently Rey Mysterio and WWE have came to an agreement as Vince McMahon realizes that the company is short on top draws for the Hispanic market, leading him to "loosen up the purse strings" on some of Rey's requests. It looks like Rey will not be signing with AAA's Lucha Underground and will be re-signing with WWE next May when the current deal expires. There also may be a plan in place where Rey will be doing a lot of work outside of the ring for WWE.

Shelton Benjamin could be returning to WWE as the sports-entertainment organization recently applied to trademark "Shelton Benjamin" for the purpose of merchandise. This is according to a page on 4-Traders.com, which notes that Lauren A. Dienes-Middlen, WWE's Vice President of Intellectual Property, made the application. It is noted below the article that trademark applications were also filed for "AWA American Wrestling Association," "Beyond The Ring," "Crush Couture," "Crush Wear," "NXT," "Skull King," "The Miz" and "Total Divas." ... Last week, he responded to fan question on Twitter asking him why he left WWE and responded, "So you could watch a guy in a bunny suit instead."

PWInsider noted that CM Punk signing with UFC was a hot topic backstage at this weekend's WWE live events. Many talents are aware that acknowledging Punk's signing publicly will get them in trouble with WWE officials. There was a lot of talk on whether or not Punk will be successful in UFC and a lot of talk on how he's gotten more attention in the last few weeks than anything else in wrestling.

E! aired a new promo for the return of WWE Total Divas in 2015 this weekend. It's worth noting that Summer Rae and Naomi were not included in the commercial. This could be a sign that they are being phased out of the show.

TNA still has not confirmed the date and time for Impact on Destination America but the belief is that it will air on Wednesdays at 9pm with a replay on the weekend. The weekend replay would also have some first-run material.

According to PWInsider.com, Bellator MMA is interested in bringing in pro wrestlers to add to their roster. The company recently did a “relaunch” of their product that features more pro wrestling inspired dialogue, with more drama than your standard Mixed Martial Arts show. The idea is to bring in wrestlers, who are used to cutting promos and being in front of a camera, and create a hybrid of potentially scripted drama and “storylines” that would end in a real MMA fight. Former TNA World Champion Bobby Lashley is currently on the Bellator roster, as well as King Mo, who has done work for TNA and expressed multiple times that he is a major fan of pro wrestling. One big name being discussed is Alberto del Rio, who has a 9-5 professional MMA record, and fought for various promotions prior to signing with WWE. No formal conversations have taken place, and its unknown if the former World Champion would even consider leaving wrestling for real fighting, especially now that he’s a relatively in-demand talent on the lucha scene. Bellator officials have stated multiple times that they want to go after Brock Lesnar once his WWE deal expires in 2015. Of course, this news comes after CM Punk made major headlines signing a multi-fight deal with UFC.
