So, what's everyones thoughts on amiibo? Anyone got any? I'm pretty in to it. Not enough to pay the ridiculous prices scalpers ask but enough that I have a collection.

I have pretty much every amiibo I want besides Jigglypuff, Villager (maybe), Fox (maybe, if Star Fox Zero has amiibo stuff), Megaman, Duck Hunt Duo, R.O.B., Mr Game & Watch and 8-bit Mario (SMB colours).

I think they look cool as piss. I wanna get them but knowing myself I would get really agitated and compelled to try and collect all of them, then frustrated when I inevitably do not accomplish this task.

Currently have none. I want to get a Mr. Game & Watch one though (he's my main in Smash). Dunno what other ones I'd be interested in getting.

I know Poit has a significant amount of them as well.

Game and Watch comes with multiple poses so you can take out one pose from the base and put in another. Don't know if you knew that. He'll go instantly so you'd need to keep an eye out for preorders becoming available.

Have just Link and Samus from the Smash Bros line. Want to get one of the Yarn Yoshis next.

This will break friendships and start the amiibo wars.

I wanted a Mega Man one when it was announced, but not enough to drop £20 on it when I don't even own a Wii U.

All amiibo are £10.99 direct from Nintendo. They're cycling through restocks now. I imagine Megaman will be available again next month.

Have avoided this trend in gaming despite REALLY being tempted by infinity when the Marvel stuff dropped. That Venom looks sick as fuck.

But Bowser is on sale for 6 bucks at my Walmart, and he looks awesome and I play as him in smash, so I am very likely going to jump on the amiibo train.

Probably going to get Fox just cause he looks rad as shit, and I imagine Star Fox will have some sort of amiibo feature. This is too big of a campaign for Nintendo's big shot first party titles not to.

Megaman is an absolute given.

Saw the Samus one on sale, but frankly it looks shitty. Boring pose and that whole metallic coating looks tacky. Gonna wait for a different one, or maybe pick up Zero Suit.

Bought my gfs laddie about 6 of them so far mostly because I wanted the pokemon ones.

Yeah I'm staying away as cool as they look I be inclined to get them all if I started, and well my Funco Pop collection started with just one that has turned into 30 + now.

Yarn Yoshi got here. Cute and very well made. Got to scan all my amiibo in to Yoshi's Woolly World, now.

Oh. I've seen them a lot. Never been interested.

I'm thinking the amiibo quality is slipping. The first bunch I got were incredibly well done. The last few, since the restock, have seemed lighter, joins are visible and paint jobs are a little hit and miss.

I hate myself now

I finally made the plunge and bought my first Amiibo.

Was at Wal-Mart getting groceries and checked the video games area. Saw a Robin and Lucina Amiibo (next to a bunch of Mario and Bowser) and I always recall the FE characters being relatively rare so I scooped them both up. My first two purchases. Hopefully not the first two of many, but knowing my addictive personality :o

Now to get a New 3DS so you can scan them in for the new Fire Emblem game!

Yeah, probably gonna pick up the blue one next month... wish they'd release the non-XL one here in North America but ehhh

The Fire Emblem amiibo will work in Super Mario Maker, turning Mario into the character you scan in when Mario gets a Mystery Mushroom. So if you want to see Robin or Lucina riding in a giant Kuribo's Shoe or Kuribo's Stiletto, nows you're chance.

I just got King Dedede. I now have every amiibo currently out in North America.

When is the next wave, with G&W, due out??? Must buy.

Smash Bros wave 5A (Dark Pit, Palutena) comes out 7/31.

Smash Bros wave 5B (Zero Suit Samus, Ganondorf, Olimar, Dr. Mario, Bowser Jr.) comes out sometime in September.

Smash Bros wave 6 (ROB, Game & Watch, Duck Hunt, Falco, and the three Mii Fighters) comes out supposedly also in September.

The 8-bit Mario Maker amiibo come out 9/11.

The Skylanders Superchargers amiibo come out 9/20.

Animal Crossing Happy House Designer (the Animal Crossing cards) wave 1 comes out 9/25.

Chibi Robo on 10/9.

Yarn Yoshi series on 10/16.

Animal Crossing amiibo Festival wave 1 (I'm guessing these are actual amiibo figures instead of cards?) comes out sometime this holiday season.

Smash Bros wave 7 (Mewto, Lucas, Roy, Ryu) comes out... sometime in the future.

In the UK, Dark Pit, Paluntena, Zero Suit Samus, Ganondorf, Bowser Jr, Olimar and Yarn Yoshi are already out with Dr Mario releasing on the 17th of July.

I'm glad Poit listed the dates because I thought after seeing others having Yarn Yoshi I missed my chance to get one for my son for xmas. Thankfully I haven't. Now to enter the reminder in my phone

So I picked up Zelda and Peach. I'm going to get Gannon, and Pac-Man too.

Also, tomorrow (Tuesday) /u/AmazonJosh on reddit is going to make some announcement about amiibo.
