Hardest Boss?
 

What is the Hardest boss from a game YOU remember facing.

Can't remember if this is the hardest boss I faced but I remember the the "Train Guy" from StarFox 64 being absolutely annoying if you did not flip the switches in the beginning to kill him.

Dunno. Anything in God of War 2 on Titan Mode.

Took roughly 2 days switching off with a buddy (probably at least 24 hours combined) trying to beat Thesius, the fucking horse keeper. Every boss has taken us a while. Never did beat it, so I'm sure we haven't even fought the hardest boss.

Pisses me off seeing people do no-upgrade speed runs on Titan mode in that game. And we weren't bad at it. It just is to the point where you literally have to be flawless to beat some of those bosses.

Chaos (the final boss of Final Fantasy) I remember being like 10 or so playing that game and having such a hard time with him and then my dad comes downstairs and shuts off my Nintendo and I was so pissed.

Super Macho Man in Mike Tyson's Punch Out was a bitch.

Chaos was fucking nothing. You want to talk hard final fantasy bosses, try and beat the Dark Crystal gaurdians in 3. Followed by the Cloud of Darkness. Just about lost my sanity trying to beat that game. 6 ridiculous hard bosses and if you lose against one, you have to start at the beginning of the tower.

Never playing that game ever again.

The End was easy. Use your microphone to hear him mumble or look around for his bird that acts as his spotter and shoot him to piss him off and draw him out.

Divine Dragon in Legend of the Dragoon is a pain as well. Gotta beat him in basic mode. It sucks.

Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid (I didn't find out about about the controler switch thing until my second playthrough)

Just got this for my DS. Now I'm not so much looking forward to finishing this.

I hated him, I ended up using the trick where you change the date on your PS2 to beat him.

Oh god, I forgot about that boss.

Baseball boss from Tail Spin

A few of the early bosses from Demon's Souls are absolute cunts. As is the final boss, I can't beat the bastard.

The psychic guy from Metal Gear Solid.

I remember getting so pissed off coz I couldn't figure out how to beat him. Until I read the tip about plugging the controller in port 2. However, this was back in the days of dialup, and when there weren't a billion different cheat websites, so checking it out online was kind of a last resort.

Well, I'm talking about the NES version. DS version might be different, I don't know. Games these days, particularly mainstream ones are easier than a lot of the games back in the day. Wouldn't be surprised if they threw in some save spots.

Didnt know about the Microphone, I just used the heatsensor to show where he stepped ;)

Also, if you enter his area and to the left, he is in the same spot and if you leave and come tright back, he is there again. cheap easy way to beat him.

I did a speed run of the game on expert and it came to 5:46:23 and his fight was about 33 mins if I remember :(

Apparently you can shoot and kill him before you fight him, or so I have heard.

The blue version of the Greater Guardian in Eternal Darkness.

The robot final boss in South Park since the thing always recharges its energy regardless of how much it looses. You basically have to "cheat" in order to beat the robot instead of fighting normally.

Yeah, there is a cut-scene you can interrupt but I had already saved past it at that point.
Yeah, you could race him normally with out cheating but if you screw up once you are done for. On my first play through I beat him on my 2nd or 3rd try because the cops popped his tire.

Didn't even try to beat the "Final Boss" fairly in that game.

Skipping past one of the best boss battles ever is absolutely retarded.

For some reason I remember before even going into the battle that I did not want to face him at all. I think I tried facing him once then gave up.

Penance from Final Fantasy X is fucking ridiculous.

The Weapons from Final Fantasy 7 were like impossible to kill.

Also a boss in Zombies Ate My Neighbors was ridiculous.

Emerald took me several hundred tries, Ruby is easier once you figure out how to get the system working in your favor.

Took me 9 years to beat that game...

The secret bosses in FFV , make the FF7 ones look laughable.

Emerald and Ruby just have a lot of HP. But Shinryu and Omega are truly broken.

I once beat Ruby Weapon without using KOTR summon, master materia or the lucky 7 trick. Took a solid two hours but he never had me worried, extremely boring battle and I wouldn't do it again. It was still more fun than Yiazmat in FF12 though.

Ruby was defiantly the harder/more annoying of the two weapons on 7. Emerald was just a long fight, but easy once you figured out the right character/materia combo. I remember be all worried the Ultima Weapon on FF8 was gonna be a pain, but was a fucking cake walk.

Bob the Goldfish from Earthworm Jim 2. My only piece of advice on that one: wait for him to make the first move.
