Sa performer, JBL was always a better talker than anything else. I found his title run boring as he was literally a 1 year placeholder for the overall better Cena. But they had a depleted roster and no real heels, so JBL found himself with a rocket push. They needed and got an effective heel out if him to hand the reigns to Cena.

I found him to be pretty meh after his initial title run, and thought his commentary in his first run was great. Second run, not so much.

His title reign is criminally underrated.....

Styles commentary is like the rest of ECW: it doesn't hold up too well. He became a gimmick as time wore on and I loved ECW. Lol I have every Hardcore TV from 97 to 2001 saved. Styles between 94-98 is pretty good.
