The fandom had made me hate undertale. Worst. Fans. Ever.

Ultra Mantis 11-14-2019 10:54 PM

What did the fandom do to make them worse than Rick & Morty's? I mean I can totally buy them being a bag of shit on the over hype alone.

Destor 11-14-2019 10:58 PM

Anytime a streamer or what have you tries to do a blind play they aggressivelyshame them for "playing wrong." They refuse to let anyone discover the mechanics/true ending on their own.

Ultra Mantis 11-14-2019 11:04 PM

Ah, so they're gatekeeping by ruining the game for everyone else who tries to play it. I can see why the troll with the unfair mechanics is their hero now.

rez 11-25-2019 10:40 PM

AC:O. It's been since Unity that I've played a game in this franchise.

ClockShot 11-26-2019 06:55 AM

Back into The Outer Worlds. Running smooth since that patch.

ClockShot 12-08-2019 11:27 AM

Finished Outer Worlds this morning. 2nd run coming at another time.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint gets started later tonight/tomorrow.

Destor 12-13-2019 12:48 AM

Just beat Fallen Order. Best star wars game ever is pretty reasonable

I know you probably mean the more recent of the 2, but I haven't really followed the series that much as of late. You talking Odyssey or Origins? Confused.

How could anyone doubt the veracity of that statement when Battlefront II was just such a masterpiece and not at all a microtransaction packed steaming pile of goat turds?

Destor 12-13-2019 07:57 AM

...ypu do realize theres been star wars games for several decades yeah?

Destor 12-13-2019 08:40 AM

rez 12-13-2019 10:35 AM

Just searching out there it appears a Viking AC will come out in 2020 or 2021

Ultra Mantis 12-16-2019 09:19 PM

Still filling up my Pokedex when I get a spare minute. Probably going to start REmake 2 at some point this month.

@Destor, I picked up Trails of Cold Steel 1 & 2 on the Christmas Sale, not sure when I'll get to them but they're in rotation for 2020.

I also picked up Wattam, which came out today and looks so fucking weird it could end up being my game of the year*

* (out of the three games released this year I've actually played)

Destor 12-16-2019 09:46 PM

Yessssssssssssssssss cold steele is great

AndyC 12-17-2019 07:42 AM

I'm about to buy a raspbery Pi and set up the emulation software to play retro games, has anyone else here done this yet? Any common issues?? Right now cat ninja pro is my only beloved game :)

I'm actually planning on modding my Street Fighter II Arcade1Up. I couldn't decide if I wanted to do my MK, TMNT, or Rampage cabs so I bought the SF cab...the most common modded 1. Lots of tutorials out there

Ruien 12-17-2019 01:37 PM

Finished up Last Jedi. Was an amazing game. Did some of the side quests but it's time to find a new game for my downtime during the holidays. Any suggestions?

If you're looking for a slog, I'm in the midst of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. Needs a lot of work, but Ubisoft is scrambling to make the fixes ASAP.

Sekiro & Control took some game of the year honors. So look into those.

El Vaquero de Infierno 12-19-2019 03:08 PM

I'm going to replay Fallout 4 over the Xmas holidays; I haven't played it in a couple of years, and about a year ago I bought the Far Harbour DLC on the cheap but never put it on my computer.

I had thought about trying to complete Dark Souls 3, but then I remembered I'd probably still be trying to defeat a boss after two weeks before having to go back down south, where I don't have access to my PC to continue the slog. I'll save that for 2021 when I'll probably be doing a Damninator and not having a job.

Yeah it is def up there. Really wish the gear pick ups were more than just cosmetic though, ie actual armor and the different light saber pieces having different stats/effects. That's literally the only thing I'd change. I'm a completionist and everything being cosmetic, and samey for that matter, kinda made the hunt feel more grindy than necessary.

Sepholio 12-19-2019 05:03 PM

So I guess I'm going to try Death Stranding again. Maybe this time I'll get it.

OssMan 12-19-2019 08:37 PM

Picked up Mega Man 9 after not playing for ten years, pretty far into the wily stages but turned off the game and lost five hours of progress.

RP 12-19-2019 11:17 PM

I thought the wily stages were not released?

I'm honestly more interested in catching up I'm the series a bit. I've only ever played maybe a 1/2 hour tops of Syndicate, back when my PS4's disk drive was still pretending to work somewhat, before it bit the dust and left me unable to continue without paying again for it via the PS Store.

Methinks you're thinking of "The Wily Wars" Genesis port.

Mega Man 9 was full-on retro, NES era graphics and sound. Even the game placard in the marketplace was (on purpose) done by the same artist who made the undeniably fugly US cover art for Mega Man 1. It hit all the right notes with a lot of people, myself included, for the perfect blend of nostalgia and new challenge.

Mega Man 10, on the other hand, was just punishingly hard for no fucking reason and ventured into cheap bullshit deaths quite a bit.

By the way, thanks, OssMan... I realize I never bothered to get the "Gamer's Day" achievement. I should fix that someday soon.

OssMan 12-25-2019 07:48 AM

Yea 10 is mad hard.. Wtf

Destor 12-25-2019 12:29 PM

Just played Gris. Its probably 3 or 4 hours. Easy platformer but the journey is well worth it. Beautiful game but also very emotional.

Oh ya Wily Wars. Didnt they release that with the Sega mini?

What did you think of the ending

GD 12-30-2019 12:18 AM

I was sleep deprived and completed the game in less than two days. I was somewhat surprised by the reveal and didn't necessarily find the flaws to hinder my enjoyment of the game.

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-30-2019 01:03 AM

Beat a Sherlock Holmes game. Currently playing RDR Online.

Prob'ly, but it doesn't matter. I ended up getting Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on XBONE, which is basically everything from 1 through 10. (1-6 is 1, 7-10 is 2) 7 and 8 seem a bit weird because of the shift in graphics and a little of the gameplay tweaks: they feel more like playing the X series than using the Blue Bomber proper. I also still have the actual 9 (and the DLC for it) and 10 from my 360 library.

Helmsphere 12-30-2019 03:27 PM

Jurassic World Evolution.
