Here's a few pointers to survive:


These episodes are taped well in advance and no one has seen them. We are almost all experiencing this together. Specific spoilers of past seasons ARE allowed because it's assumed that you've watched the show and it's already out there. Specific spoilers of non-aired content (yes, even in spoiler tags) WILL be reported to the mods and hopefully removed ASAP.

An example might be "Man, just wait until you see the crazy shit Mascarita Sagrada does in Season 4, Episode 15!" would be okay because it's non-specific, but "Dude, Mascarita Sagrada wins the Lucha Underground Championship at Ultima Lucha Cuatro!" would not be because it gives away something in the future that may/may not have been seen by everyone.

LU is taped and these episodes are old, but it is way more enjoyable without it being spoiled for you. Assuming that very few people have seen these episodes, those of us that have need to be respectful of the viewing experience of others and not just throw shit out there without purpose.

Was just working on finishing season 3 last night and got to Ultima Lucha Tres and the DVR only recorded 2 minutes of it.

Fell off of this during series 3 the wait and the length of series made me lose interest pretty quick. Ultimate Lucha 3 was a good show though.


Hopefully they streamline it a bit and keep the season snappy, max 20 episodes.

Jeff Cobb will be working the next season of Lucha Underground as Matanza Cueto. It’s known he’s been looking to get out so he may be on the list of guys who are coming back to be written out. Obviously Cobb is looking at working more regularly with New Japan, and Impact has shown an interest (although his Lucha Underground contract wouldn’t block him from Impact) and we don’t know about ROH but him going to ROH would seem to make sense.

Did I mention how much I love Lucha Underground don't even have half the budget of impact or the WWE but they make such good use of everything they have even their promos are incredible.

Each season of Lucha underground is had kind of a theme I wonder what they'll have this time last season was hardcore
I can't wait till Wednesday I'm so excited.

The summary for this season sounds legit.

"In the aftermath of Dario Cueto's incident, the Lucha Underground Temple moves to a new location. With the help of the mysterious "Order", the bloodthirsty Aztec Gods plan to wage war in Lucha Underground, destroy the world, and sacrifice any luchador that gets in their way. Can the seven ancient Aztec Tribes unite to stop them before it's too late? Only time will tell."

Aztec Warfar, holy shit starting things off with a bang.

Jesse Godderz as Mr Pectacular is pretty a great surprise. Haven't heard much from him since leaving Impact.

Not sure if its the attire change or what but Mariposa looks bigger than usual to me.

I like King Cuerno way more than Fantasma for some reason. Weird but I wish he was King Cuerno all the time. The mask is cooler for sure.

Dragon Azteca is the guy that can take Prince Puma's role in my opinion.

Pentagon is the man, great first episode. Aztec Warfar was a great way to introduce alot of the new talent for the season.

Felt like Aztec Warfare was missing some important people. No Cage, Ivelisse, Fox, Angelico. It was a good match though. I liked it more than last year's.

Well they teased Anggelico as #11 but he didn't come out.

Also the blue and yellow ropes are different right? Don't remember the other season's having them. Is there a reason or just to fit the ice house?

Is Fox missing part of a story? Or is he not in this season? Seems like he'll show back up and have beef with Son of Havoc.

Which would make for some dope matches.

It was just an introductory episode with multiple people in it. I'm sure it'll pick up as quickly as next week.

The real problem with the episode was that they spent 10 solid minutes on the Antonio Cueto stuff, instead of having the match run the whole 45 like it usually does

Match for the medallion was alright. Feel like both Drago and Azteca were on cruise control a little bit.

Wish Pentagon/Matanza was longer. I could watch those two beat the piss out of each other all day.

Next week should be hype as fuck. I heard from others that it was really good.

Yeah another good episode. Agree on the Pentagon/Matanza match being longer, I wanted more but that finish was pretty amazing. Jake Strong is a good name as well, I like it.

The three way this week was fucking insane. Glad to see Ivelisse and Cage back.

The out of ring segments this week were the highlight for me. Also, Vibora doing things. And always, BIG BAD STEVE.

Vibora is a hell of a talent.

Season 4 has been really good so far and even better was someone recently discovered the full version of Mil Muertes theme. Been waiting for this theme to get released ever since the first season.

They done turnt up the heat this week. Cage/Muertes was a freaking hoss battle, Ivie and Joey Ryan had a good match, a couple people died, and The Mack busted out some Lucha Chocolate shit.

Yeah really liked Cage vs Mil Muertes. Didn't know who Killer Kross was a few weeks ago but he's now on Impact and Lucha Underground.

Catching up on season 4, so did they just completely drop the angle after the whole MVP thing (where I assume MVP was gonna be the guy in the limo from the second season that gave the gauntlet to Cage)

Nah, they have that guy hanging around the Temple, the gauntlet is still around. LU never drops ANYTHING I've learned. But, from what MVP SAYS, they were going to put him under a mask and change his whole wrestling style, so it's hard to say what they cut out or didn't.

Listening to Cornette for 5 minutes made me want to swallow a shotgun though. I wonder if he would have the same complaints about Game of Thrones or Harry Potter or some shit. Because LU is closer to those than it is to WWE or fucking Smoky Mountain or whatever garbage Ol Corny fired out of his asscheeks for a bunch of goddamn rednecks.

Desmond Xavier, this should be interesting. Good high flyer from Impact.

Good debut in Lucha Underground.

Exactly when I first heard him criticize Lucha underground I was like okay I like you cornet but this time you are dead wrong Lucha underground is amazing Lucha underground is exactly what wrestling has always tried to be fully realized it pulls out all the stops it runs with the goofiness and plays it completely straight and it works I don't know what his problem is.

He has a very narrow mindset of what wrestling should be and is very stubborn to adapt it to modern wrestling and styles. Its a major reason why he has the rep of being tough to work or deal with and why even his great ideas came off as being abrasive.

I wonder if he ever complained to Vince about how stupid and unrealistic a zombie undertaker cult leader biker was....

This week's Lucha was pretty good, but last week's was insane. Lots of jumping off high things.

This week was Penta being Penta, to his own detriment. Going alone against 2 main eventers was a dumb choice, but he's not exactly bringing his brother back from the dead, I guess. Indiana Mundo was pretty classic. Too bad about the reptile. He'll be missed after impressing this season.

Yeah was shocked that was how that ended but reptiles are know to grow back limbs as well. Not sure they can grow back a head though.

Season has been pretty good so far and really enjoy the creative ways being done to deal with people no longer being in the company.

Could have easily gone the lazy route by just ignoring them or have them simply lose a match as their exit but instead are using the departures in different ways to play into the on-going storylines.

I'm finally all caught up, and I'm in love again. Definitely gonna miss Vibora as soon as I started to like him. Mundo would be weird with the Reptile Tribe, though...who I think are much better this season. I like how Kobra Moon extends the letter "sssssss" when she speaks, and Daga fits well, even though he looks nothing like a reptile.

They should have Big Bad Steve wrestle every week.

Also hyped to see my homie Dez getting some shine. Surreal.

Loved this episode. Loved the classic WWF reference at the end.

Mariposa's breasteses are very nice.

Ya, Mariposa was hot in that episode. Never noticed that before.

Also, Ricky Mundo is delightfully creepy.

Mariposa has a really fucking great match later in the season. I hope they don't kill it with editing

Really great episode this week. Great matches, epic vignettes, setting up matches for next week that should (and do) burn the house down. Also, I will be making my debut in the crowd next week. :cool:

Best episode this season. Good to see a real cage match with none of the escape to win bullshit. Main event was just crazy.

I'm pissed that we weren't at the Pentagon/Cage taping. That match was everything I ever wanted.

Damn, that main event was insane. Ricky Mundo is insane. I liked whatever that was happening with Catrina and Melissa Santos. Famous B is hilarious to me, for some reason.

Lucha Underground is the best.

That cutscene at the beginning was the main event of the whole episode. Probably the best one they've EVER done.

I don't think that I put together at the tapings who Joey Wrestling was. I just figured he was some jobber.

Pentagon has a hell of a rogue's gallery this year. Matanza, Cage, the latest challengers... and there's way more to come. I marked out so fucking hard at the end of this one.

Also, this episode is the first one where RoXer and I are in the crowd the whole time (and we ended up being there for the rest of the season), so my thoughts and recaps will probably start getting longer every week.

a thought I forgot to bring up a couple weeks ago:

Jack Swagger seems really bad in Lucha Underground. Def seems a lot slower than he was when I last saw him. Maybe it's just in comparison to the speed of everyone else, but he seems like a lumbering idiot.
