Got one!
Where? Damn you! :D
It's called my mom, and Christmas
You are able to buy old school Megadrives with pre-installed games like Sonic, etc. A person at work was eyeing one up.
Its funny I've seen the Sega Genesis system with 80 games built in plus Mortal Kombat 1-3 for $10 stacked 10 high no one buying it but this is selling like crazy..I don't get it
its only got yellow and white cord.
How much better can 8 bit graphics look over an HDMI cable lol
Plus the one I saw was portable like the game gear

I mean..a fucking Game Gear for $10 can't sell but the NES thing does..ugh

These are fucking garbage. Bought one for my son when he was into Sonic 2-3 years ago. The sound is all distorted and the majority of the games are indy bullshit titles. That is why no one is buying them. NES officially backed theirs and made it, so everything is "original". Still though, emulator with controller support is the way to go. IF they enable this device to go online and add to the library, then it would be worth it. |
That might explain why they were at the closeout store for $10

Proof I'm not just talking out of my ass: |
Move to China, where you are put to death for something like that or something.
Besides Damn Man, spend your hard earned money on somethin else. Your PC is perfectly capable of running NES, SNES, N64 and probably Wii games - RIGHT NOW.

Now, they NEED to do this with the SNES....
Chrono Trigger Super Mario World (any of them tbh) Super Mario RPG Secret of Evermore Super Metroid Super Castlevania IV F-Zero Super Punch Out! Zelda: A Link to The Past Earthbound Contra III The Alien Wars Mortal Kombat II Megaman X or X2 Lufia II: Rise of the Sinstrals Sure there are quite few more, those are some of the timeless classics I could still play today. |
Stores need to put a limit on how many people can buy at once.
No, they don't, SlickyTrickyCommie.
Drave....your list of snes games....so horny rn. You said Lufia 2. You even knew the subtitle. Me love u loooooong time.
Now add Seiken densestu 3, terranigma, and treasure hunter g with English translations. |
Secrete of Mana and Final Fantasy get no love?
Seiken densestu 3 is secret of mana 2 that never got released outside of Asian markets. It's an incredible game.
Didn't mention ff as I already own every one of them and they keep getting rereleased on newer systems anyways. |

B.)I use an Android tablet w/version 6.0.1. I had to replace my old one, so my father made it my Christmas gift this year...under $40, too (before tax). Also got usual $25 gift card from my bro for GS, which works well for me, and got PS3 copy of WWE 2K17 just yesterday, and spent < $20 after the gift card, so all in all it was a great Christmas. I'm a man of simple pleasures. Also, it seems you forgot the GameCube was a thing. I had some good times with mine playing WM XIX and the Day of Reckoning games. Also had NBA Courtside 2002, Crazy Taxi, and Super Smash Bros. Melee that I can recall. I loved the portability of the machines size and the mini-discs. |

Probably on purpose so that everyone would talk about Nintendo. |
Think you kind of missed the point there, Drofolopogus.
If Nintendo supplied enough it wouldn't be a priblem. no one would want to buy more than 1 because there woukd be no resale market which only existed because Nintendo didn't make enough .
Friend got the Sega one, its cool and not all of the arcade games are bad. Sonic music is a bit off and the level select cheat did not seem to work.
Bad thing about it is the Arcade doesn't save scores and the controller doesn't work unless you are pointing right at it. |

Think it was only very recently they finally got around to adding another manufacturer company in order to boost their production. Even then it might be till the Switch's launch that the real increase capabilities ends up showing for them. |

They're hacked so you can add up to 60 games now. Now I want one.

Hacked up yes, but be careful . You could brick it making it inoperable

There was never any reported Wii U shortages. Must have been a store that sold out and didn't restock for a while. We were mocking scalpers showing pics of cars full of them and then selling for under RRP.
Weirdly, the DS wasn't hard to find at launch either. It wasn't until the Lite model that thing went into overdrive. |
What see the 60 hacked games? How hard is it to hack?
Quote:
Not sure how hard it is nor does it look to tell all the games added |
If you are going to hack it. You might as well just buy a damn USB controller and play it on your computer screen. Roughly the same deal without the possible breaking the system and making it a fairly expensive paperweight.

looking at other vids. Looks easy as hell to do
Sweet mother of Jesus almost got it. this is gonna be great!
So suck it std
I love this paper weight!
You add the games yourself via ROMs. It's not unlocked from inside the system.
Also, looks like the restriction has been lifted and you can add as many games as the storage holds. You just have to be wary about saves as they also take up space. |
Yep by roms it's great I tell you. Nintendo really lost out by only doing 30.
Maybe I will get this now. It's tempting.
I think this pisses me off to a point of why did I get rid of my NES and all the games I had.
why? this thing makes the games useless.
Can it play Yo Noid! ? That was my favorite game for some pizza marketing reason
Can't play duck hunt cause LCD screens don't work with the zapper. Is it compatible with the power pad ? |
Good question. I would guess no. If a real NES controller can fit then maybe.
No zapper meh. I didn't use the gun enough anyways. Power Pad... ugh. As far as Noid goes I didn't add that crap. Also before anyone asks fuck the Power Glove
Willing to take game ideas on a game I should add
Legacy of the Wizard

Mega Man can go fuck himself

You all suck at xbox one and are a waste of next gen go back to 360 or ps3 nerds. yall can't hang with the big dawgs!
In process of adding another shit ton of games with a new hack. Way to go Nintendo
You could already do that on the Wii to be honest though tbh
Heard Walmart might be getting these in March. Nintendo really shit the bed unless they seceretly are getting a cut of the major marksups on Ebay (which would be illegal btw)

Guys, maybe we should forget about this debacle and ficus on Nintendo Switch hype:
TL;DW version: "ZOMG!!!!1!!!!!111!!!!!!!! Nintendo is actually marketing and hyping their next console, and not only that, they're actually doing it right...EVEN IN THIS SUPER BOWL AD! *creams himself* He disclaims that there's no sound because while use of the entire 30 seconds of the ad is fair use, he basically thought Nintendo might sue if the sound portion played or something. Anyway, just enjoy the ad's video goodness, once again RTUSA nails it. |
Quote:
I would have bought about three of these at Christmas for myself and family, at least...As it stands, I probably won't be buying any now. I can't imagine I am the only one like that. Hope Nintendo are chuffed with their numbers because it's probably half of what they would have done otherwise...And the majority of that half aren't coming back for one now the holidays are over. |

I am more amazed at how I beat certain games with no internet lol. I get stuck on the slightest thing now and am straight there to see what to do! Think our generation had more imagination! |

I remember first time I beat Tyson... v satisfying feeling |
So the NES Classic edition actually has Tyson in it, not Mr. Dream? that's cool

The AtGames home console Genesis has some issues. First off the wireless controllers are ass. They are IR instead of another type of wireless so you have to keep them pointed at the system to get it to respond. Half of the games that come built in aren't even old Genesis games. They are bad rip offs of what feels like late 90s java games. Where as the AtGames Portable Genesis, once you load an SD card with the Roms, makes a nice and cheap portable system. Got mine for 20 bucks a few years ago. Already had the SD card. And so far whatever emulator AtGames uses plays about 80% of the games I have tried out. One major drawback is if the game has a battery backed up saving feature that will not work. So no Phantasy Star and really no RPGS. But for the cheap price it ain't bad. I keep mine in my backpack for when I have some downtime. Supposedly this year AtGames has a new version of the home console and the portable Genesis coming out. Using a new emulator which will improve not only the sound but the issues the old one had with some games. The sound not being accurate doesn't bother me that much. Even when I had a Genesis years ago I rarely played it with the sound on. I would instead put on some music and listen to that while playing. |
Acclaim tried it's hand at a wireless IR controller for the NES. Legend has it that due to the technological limitations of the time however it was largely ineffective.
It wouldn't be until the GameCube's WaveBird wireless controller that the potential for wireless controllers started to be realized. I had one back in the day and it was amazing. |
I like the shell, so I kind of want one to gut and put a Rasberry Pi in there.
I got lucky and managed to get 3 of the NES minis right before X-mas. Both my sons wanted one and my lady wanted one. Thought I was just gonna have to wait till January to get them. Then was reminded that the neighbor's daughter is the district manager for Gamestop in this area. Called her and got the 3 I needed for retail price. Gave her a $20 a s a thank you.
Playing around with the one I gave to my lady I do like it. But what suck is there is a bit of input lag. Most of the games it isn't even noticeable. But on Punch Out it is horrible. I use to be able to pretty much blow thru that game. And still can on a legit NES. But on the Mini the timing is slightly different. It is a neat plaything. But I am not going to bother getting one for myself. Sure I can hack it and get it to play lots of games. But I already own pretty much every system I want. What I really want now is a Retro AVS. Sure it is a bit over 100 bucks. But being able to play NES and Famicom carts on a system that isn't just a cheap NoC clone systme is great. Then add in that it had the four score/NES Satellite built in and had HDMI outputs without adding input lag to me it is worth the price. |
So, late to this party, but I had some people I used to work with keeping feelers out for me since December. Got the call a couple of days ago and was able to pick one up. Feel like I had to be more clandestine than some sort of illegal drug transaction, though.
