Newest version of Carlzilla's mod suite adds entrance attire

ENTRANCE ATTIRES:
In order to use an entrance attire, the wrestler needs to be added to the list of wrestlers set up for entrance attires (you can find the tool for adding wrestlers to this list in the PWGR window, under entrance attires). Once there, just find the wrestler you wish to use entrance attire in the drop down list, and hit the Add button.

That wrestler will then use the LAST VALID ATTIRE SLOT as entrance attire. That means that the last attire slot with a little circle under it in the appearance edit section will be that wrestler's entrance attire.

Wrestler's seconding other wrestlers will always wear their entrance attire at ringside (this seemed to make more sense to me, at least in most cases).

You can not have multiple entrance attires for the same edit at this point. While this is technically possible (attire slot 2 being an entrance attire for attire slot 1 and attire slot 4 being entrance attire for attire slot 3), I have not set it up this way, and when tested it caused minor, but noticeable slowdown during entrance loading/switching...so I decided to set it up the way that I have instead. It is unlikely to change.

I made one of only two Kotaro Suzuki edits on the workshop, and mine is far superior, so if they had everyone here play as themselves, it's a good bet it was my edit. Fucking rad!

Helmsphere 08-28-2017 05:40 PM

Hey Fignuts, what do I have to do exactly to get the patcher working again since the update?

Fignuts 08-29-2017 01:02 AM

What exactly is the problem?

Did you recreate the ASSEMBLY-CSHARP.ORIGINAL.DLL FILE? You need to do that every time spike updates, before you attempt to patch anything. You also need to download the latest version of the mods you have. For instance, redownload the Carlzilla mod suite, and replace the previous Carlzilla.dll file you put in the data managed file.

Helmsphere 08-29-2017 06:04 PM

I figured it out, as you said I just had to redo the assembly file.

Do have another question. So I've noticed that every now and again, my CAW themes will switch, like not to something generic already in game, but to another theme I've downloaded, is that still something they are working on, or should I be naming the themes to something more then the wrestler name? Should I be putting a number in?

Fignuts 08-29-2017 06:11 PM

They actually fixed that in the latest patch. That said Carlzilla's theme database is still better for assigning themes than the in game system. It's faster, and you can assign themes to downloaded edits as well as your own.

Fignuts 08-29-2017 06:37 PM

Also, with the new version of Carlzilla's mod suite, you have to assign nameplates to your custom ring textures. The download for the mod suite comes with png files of the default nameplates. Put them in the same folder as your mat textures. Then when you go into the Ring Mat Database, there will be a tab for nameplates. Assign the nameplates for both the red and blue corners.

If you don't do this, the camera will pan all the way to the right during the entrance and the edit will not come out. You'll have to close out the application.

Will I actually have to download something or will I simply update it thru the patcher?

This has been easily one of the best twenty dollars I've ever spent. I got so much play out of Returns, and this game has renewed my love for the series.

Also with the theme database thing, is that also a seperate download, can you link me again?

Fignuts 08-29-2017 08:26 PM

Ring Mat Database is that window you use to add custom mat textures to your created rings. You've already used it before right?

Here's the thread for carlzillas mod suite
http://www.fpwarena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1470

He posts an updated version in the first post a day or two after each update from spike.

When I get home I'll try and take some screenshots to give you a better idea of what to do.

Helmsphere 08-29-2017 09:09 PM

I figured it out, Going to work on the name plate thing now. Got the hang of the in-ring editor and even managed to make one for the old E-Fed I was in a long time ago.

Helmsphere 08-29-2017 09:15 PM

Is there a thread for nameplates already made? The Ring texture thread is scattered and trying to see if I can save time.

Fignuts 08-29-2017 09:16 PM

Last page of this thread has some custom Nameplates you can use.

I wish there was a mod that actually allowed you to edit workshop wrestlers, to make minor adjustments such a changing a nickname, finisher, or switching the attires around without having to make a caw that's a copy of it.

I mean I know it's a easy workaround but considering I'm going to have so many of my own custom created wrestlers it might get hard locating said wrestler.

Fignuts 08-31-2017 01:56 PM

They said in the last twitch stream that they're working on a better UI.

Helmsphere 09-04-2017 07:23 PM

I haven't figured out exactly how to switch out the turnbuckle parts, and the arena parts. I've gotten the ring down, along with a pretty name plate, but was wondering what I need to do to get the custom arenas and the turnbuckle pads to show up.

Fignuts 09-04-2017 09:31 PM

Do you have the latest version of Carlzillas mod suite? Keep in mind that you can't update Carlzilla's mod suite from the patcher. You have to manually download it and replace the old Carlzilla.dll file with the new one.

Make sure you are decompressing the whole .rar file. There are folders that the game needs for the mods to work right.

Inside the Ringmats folder in the .rar file, there will be two folders. One for Arenas, and one for cages. Take those folders, and put them in the Ringmats folder in your Firepro Directory.

So parts files, which are the turnbuckle pad textures, just go in the Ringmats folder with the mat textures. Any ramp or stage parts need to be put into the arena folder. Inside the arena folder you will have six folders, each corresponding to the six arenas available. You want to put the stage, ramp, and floor parts into the arena they belong to. Each folder comes with the default texture files inside, and it's easy to tell which folder is for which arena by looking at the stage file inside, but here's a guide just in case:

AR00- Big Garden
AR01- SCS Arena
AR02- Mexican Arena
AR03- Spike Dome
AR04- Korakuen Hall
AR05- Dojo

Now the next part is important. Your Ring name, parts file, stage file, floor file, and arena file all have to be named with the same name. So for instance if you're doing NXT, the in game ring name has to be NXT. Then the Mat texture has to be NXT.png. The parts file will be NXT_parts.png. Here's some pictures to illustrate it for you.

Here is the Ringmats Folder. You can see the NXT mat texture, and in the row beneath it, the turnbuckle parts file, named appropriately.

http://i.imgur.com/LtD4Ek4.png

Now here is the AR01 file. Again all parts named appropriately. The only file I downloaded in this image is the stage file. For the floor and arena texture files, I copied the default textures and renamed them to go with the other NXT resources. This is because the game loads the sections of an arena in a specific order, and if you just add the stage file it won't work. Here's what it should look like.

http://i.imgur.com/WIkKwYO.png

Finally once you start the game, go into the Mat Textures window and hit the ringside textures tab. Go to the arena you are changing and choose the arena.png file you made in the arenas folder.

http://i.imgur.com/QFHbE6N.png

Now it all should work.

Let me know if you're having anymore issues.

Fignuts 09-04-2017 09:40 PM

Also, a lot of mods haven't been updated through spike's official patches, so they could cause problems working with other mods, or even just in general.

Personally I only use Carlzilla's mod suite. He is always adding new stuff, and he usually updates it whithin a couple days to be compatible with spike's latest update.

Fignuts 09-05-2017 06:23 PM

Damn.

Spike removed the hidden arenas from the game's code with their latest update. Could be a good thing. They've reacted very positively toward modding and people opening up the game, so the only reason I could think of for taking it out, is that they're finally putting them in officially in an upcoming patch.

Fignuts 09-06-2017 02:19 AM

Now that everyone is created for the TPWW tournament, I can start on the other project I wanted to do. Since we got such a great mat texture for it, I'm making everyone in the Mae Young Classic. Got appearances done for the first match.

Fignuts 09-06-2017 06:28 PM

Did you make a copy of that assembly.dll file again? Spike just updated the game, so you'd have to do it again.

Opponent staying down longer after a diving attack is huge. Love that spike is fixing all these little quirks that have been an annoyance throughout the series history.

New heads are mostly masked characters. So far I recognize:

The Hurricane
BUSHI
Kalisto
Dragon Lee
Mistico II
Pegano
Psycho Clown
Gran Metalik
Dr. Wagner Jr. (his current mask, which is now outdated since he unmasked.)

Helmsphere 09-15-2017 05:09 PM

I'm glad they adjusted some of the Top Rope dives, I hated when my edit would go for a Springboard Asai Moonsault and would hit the ground before the guy would even make it to his feet. Granted in my E-Fed career, I did make it a habit of intentionally botching a Asai Moonsault.

Also can't wait to see if my guy actually gets a chance to cover after a 630.

Fignuts 09-19-2017 05:39 PM

Not only are we getting the 3 hidden arenas in the game officially on Sept 29th, they've been vastly improved.

Here's a pic of the new mexico arena, which has added led panels and rampway girls like CMLL
