apparently Kupchak is going to try to pitch the Lakers to LeBron/LeBron's agent.

what's his pitch gonna be?

"You get to play second banana to Kobe, because Kobe refuses to play Robin for anyone. But hey, LA!"

alvarado52 07-07-2014 03:50 PM

Crazy, as much as I dislike the Heat, 4 finals appearances in 4 years seems like a pretty good success, as well as going 2 for 4 in the series.

Now it looks like LeBron may actually leave, and Bosh getting that max offer from the Rockets means he'll likely be gone.

Emperor Smeat 07-07-2014 04:18 PM

Heat sign both Josh McRoberts (4 years, $23 million) and Danny Granger (2 years, $4.2 million). Both were signed to help entice Lebron to stay.

Mavs and Lakers currently interested in Lance Stephenson but neither have him as their top priority. Pacers were willing to offer a 5 year, $44 million deal for him.

alvarado52 07-07-2014 05:06 PM

New big 3!

Is it just me or has every free agent this season been asking ridiculously high amounts per year for their services?

RP 07-07-2014 05:09 PM

Please do it Lebron. I wanna see all these bandwagon Heat fans throw themselves underneath the moving Heat bandwagon as it leaves for Cleveland.

McLegend 07-07-2014 08:30 PM

So let's say these moves happen

Lebron goes to Cleveland and Bosh to the Rockets? What happens to DWade? I guess with the Heat but at a really reduced amount. He would have lost himself a ridiculous amount of money this summer for nothing. I would be pissed if I'm Wade and these moves happens.

Or do you think he would follow Lebron or Bosh at again a reduced rate?

ClockShot 07-07-2014 08:32 PM

That or Wade got Carmelo on speed dial and he does whatever begging he can to get him to come to Miami.

McLegend 07-07-2014 08:45 PM

Carmelo's not going to to Miami if Lebron leaves.

Probably stays at Miami. Declined way too much over the past couple of years to be worth the big bucks now unless some team was that foolish.

He had a chance before the Big 3 arrived to leave for Chicago but doubt they'd be interested in him now.

alvarado52 07-08-2014 03:55 AM

DWade stays in Miami.

Emperor Smeat 07-09-2014 02:26 PM

Some NBA news:

Cs-Cavs-Nets trade ended up creating more cap space for the Cavs to go after Lebron while also going after either Ray Allen, Mike Miller, and/or both.

Cleveland is expected to take back a young prospect or two whom Brooklyn has already drafted just to complete the transaction, but no one who will be on its roster next season.

Meanwhile Melo is waiting until after Lebron gets his new deal and/or team to have his own new deal done. Rumored to want to see if it will still be possible to play together on the same team for next season.

McLegend 07-09-2014 06:27 PM

The Sixers have an really long athletic Summer league team.

They have this Jakar Sampson who played for St. John's in college. He does not have NBA game however he definitely is an NBA athlete. He needs to change his game up, and become a poor man Dennis Rodman. He just needs to focus on defense and rebounding, and he can make a team.

McLegend 07-10-2014 03:56 PM

What the hell is going with Lebron James right now!?!? So many conflicting reports!

What a letdown if he resigns.

alvarado52 07-11-2014 12:10 PM

already annoyed at this whole LeBron & Carmelo situation.

Particularly with the fact that the Lakers should say fuck it (like they should have at the beginning) and start working on using that money towards solid players.

DaveWadding 07-11-2014 12:32 PM

LEBRON. CLEVELAND.

Droford 07-11-2014 12:40 PM

Somewhere Johnny Football is pissed off.

alvarado52 07-11-2014 12:45 PM

LeBron must have read my post.

ClockShot 07-11-2014 01:51 PM

And kaboom goes the Heat. Along with the rest of Miami.

Droford 07-11-2014 02:19 PM

I'll bet anyone that he doesn't win a championship in Cleveland and leaves after 3 years (or whenever he can opt out again)

No one wins in Cleveland.

Dragon 07-11-2014 02:40 PM

Not that surprising he's going back to Cleveland. Cleveland's really the easier route than Miami. Instead of dealing with Wade's decline he plays with Irving, Wiggins and all the young guys they have. The Cavs will try and trade for Love and all the championship chasing vets will follow him there.

Rockets deal Jeremy Lin to the Lakers.

Pretty much saying "Bosh, sign anytime."

Lol I love it... Do you think Wade is pissed?

Also the Cavs are def winning the East this year

screech 07-11-2014 05:27 PM

So Krimzon7 is back to being a lifelong Cavs fan, then? Along with those who burned their Lebron jerseys, I guess.

Think Wade hangs it up? He's had knee problems for a bit now and has been on a decline. Not even sure how old he is.

ClockShot 07-11-2014 05:55 PM

You know who really loses in this? Shabazz Napier.

McLegend 07-11-2014 06:01 PM

Bosh is staying in Miami 5 year 118 million contract.

Basketball decision wise I think that's a bad move, but I would rather have 118 million then 88 million or whatever Houston's contract was worth.

Emperor Smeat 07-11-2014 06:20 PM

:-\ Cs big plan to get Kevin Love likely just fell apart and mostly because they helped the Cavs a bit too much with the recent trade.

Timberwolves hinted they want a Wiggins-like player for any trade while Love himself hinted he wants to play for Cleveland once he becomes a free agent next year.

LeBron James announcing he's leaving Cleveland:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/DQffpK2sCsA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

LeBron James re-signs with the Cavs:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/_kaXlbjHLqw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

And I can make that joke. As a long-suffering Cavs fan from the days of Price, Brad, and Hot Rod, I was a fan before him, and a fan without him. I didn't get all butthurt he left, though, because he not only had a point- he proved it by going somewhere willing to put a team around him and win championships and/or consistently make the finals.

My exitement of his return is dampened by all these fair-weather dick riders coming back out of the woodwork. The jersey burning, "good riddance" folks who are now suddenly like "OH WE ALWAYS LOVED LEBRON!!!".

Emperor Smeat 07-12-2014 01:41 PM

Melo is staying with the Knicks for next season.

OssMan 07-12-2014 02:29 PM

People in Cleveland embracing James LeBron... what a bullshit PR move to make it look like he gives a shit, jesus christ... he's ready to "come home" now that his team is falling apart and he's won two championships

Go away, Carmelo.

Dragon 07-12-2014 04:39 PM

Glad Carmelo's back. With a couple smaller moves and a coach that isn't Mike Woodson I think the Knicks could be decent next year. And in the East decent gets you a good playoff seed.
