I think Randy Orton is awesome.

I know he may be a dick out of character as well but he does does his in-ring job very well. He sells everything awesomely and integrates alot of psychology into his matches. Easily one of the most convincing workers in WWE at the moment.

Nark Order 02-06-2007 01:00 PM

Agreed.

And I think people make a much bigger deal out of this whole 'rest hold' business than it really is.

Caged Heat18 02-06-2007 01:06 PM

I loved his first heel run, back when he was doing the RNN vignettes when he was hurt, and than his time in Evolution, as the legend killer. His feud with Foley was awesome, and I thought he was such a good heel, but as soon as he turned face, I stopped liking him so much. Since then it's been hard to become a fan of him as he really hasn't done much outside of his feud with DX.

They had a perfect opportunity last night to put him over in the triple threat match and send him to WM 23 against Cena, but I kinda pretty much knew once they did the Edge/Orton segment backstage where they agreed to make sure that one of them won the match and NOT Shawn Michaels, that Michaels was going over in the match, and he's the one who needs it the least of the 3, not to mention this now gives us not one, but TWO face vs. face title matches...*SIGH*:nono:

Stickman 02-06-2007 01:33 PM

I see a heel turn in the near future.

The One 02-06-2007 01:38 PM

Randy Orton is the future of WWE. :y:

Anybody Thrilla 02-06-2007 03:06 PM

Orton and Dykstra

The One 02-06-2007 03:17 PM

Dykstra is worthless.

Anybody Thrilla 02-06-2007 03:33 PM

Actually, that's not true.

The One 02-06-2007 03:35 PM

Actually, yeah it is. If any of the SS should have gotten a big singles push it should have been Johnny. But whatever.

Stickman 02-06-2007 03:45 PM

I think Kenny has a bright future. I've been really impressed with the guy.

Anybody Thrilla 02-06-2007 03:46 PM

Yeah, srsly.

Anybody Thrilla 02-06-2007 03:47 PM

WORTHLESS is a strong word, anyway.

The One 02-06-2007 03:48 PM

In a few years when he is the Savio Vega of the modern era, then come and talk to me how awesome he is.

You know, I was honestly thinking he was going over Lashley last night. Not because I WANTED him to, but just because the title means shit anyway.

Spirit Squad > Los Boricuas

The One 02-06-2007 04:04 PM

Not by much, and my comparison stands. Dykstra sucks. He is a bland, no charisma, not much talent, paper cut out of nearly every other OVW mold.

Stickman 02-06-2007 04:08 PM

He seems pretty charismatic.

Skippord 02-06-2007 04:38 PM

Orton's decent until he gets in the ring

Rest Holds FTW

I'm glad he didn't go over, I don't wanna see Dykstra get wasted away in ECW.

Would have been a huge step up from the Spirit Squad.

Wouldn't it be FTL?

Skippord 02-06-2007 06:03 PM

No there's no such thing as FTL silly.

thedamndest 02-06-2007 06:10 PM

When I saw referee Jack Doane officiating the match, I was so glad they changed Kenny's name. I don't think I would have been able to follow JR and the King's fast paced play-by-play if there were two Doanes of non-relation (aka the WWE's worst nightmare) in the ring at once. I would have constantly been asking myself "Wait, are they related?" and "Is that guy the other guy's dad?" and I would have missed the otherwise classic Lashley/Kenny barn burner.

Orton rules.

McLegend 02-06-2007 07:44 PM

I use to be a huge mark, but that has died down a little and been replaced with Edge.

The One 02-06-2007 07:46 PM

Orton > Edge

McLegend 02-06-2007 07:56 PM

No he's not. Edge is better then Orton in every aspect of wrestling.

Orton wishes he was as good as Edge as does the WWE.

Johnny Vegas 02-06-2007 09:47 PM

I still enjoy Orton, but i feel his matches can be more intense and blood rushing. Matches like The Rock, Mick Foley, and SCSA. There was never really a "dull" moment except for those headlocks that turned into elbows and then the heel clotheslining the face. If Randy can keep his style, but add some of that above and more out-the-ring psychology, then he's a hall of famer. Trust me. He's got the look, the charisma, and fanbase, just DO NOT be an HBK backstage and i'm good.

Im not going to lie, when he's in that "edge" position (when edge slides in the ring and lays down) about to do the RKO, that is the sweetest shit ever. Period.

What's there to feel bad about with wrestling? It's wrestling, for shit sake. Not exactly the most classy thing in the first place. Also, I thought the Spirit Squad were at least funny. Way more entertaining than that Gang Rulz bullshit circa 1997.

James Steele 02-06-2007 10:14 PM

Anybody who says Randy Orton has charisma, mic skills, and is a great wrestler is fucking delusional.

Funny?

Destor 02-06-2007 10:54 PM

Yeah they were hilarious. You should watch wrestling drunk more often. :y:

Anybody Thrilla 02-06-2007 10:54 PM

Yeah, I thought the Spirit Squad was funny. Their mannerisms, over-enthusiasm, retarded cheers...even more specifically, the Karate Kid spot that Johnny did at whatever PPV it was when they headlined against DX. It was funny to me.

Seriously though. It helps.

Gone Mad 02-06-2007 11:18 PM

Orton has something, but he's just not there yet. Seriously. Especially with HHH and Edge in the same roster as far as being a top heel goes.

And I think Kenny's got something too. I see a (and it kinda hurts me to say it) Owen Hart type in him. I just don't like how he's put out like he's the top of the SS, even while it was going. Just take it easy with him and please, push the other guys.

Jeritron 02-06-2007 11:21 PM

Randy orton has fallen from grace. Even if they push him hard now it will be hard to make him as big of a star as could have been in 2004.
Anyone who says he is the "future of this business" is just listening to the bullshit he says about himself on tv. He could have been, but he isn't now. He's been the "future" for nearly 4 years. If you ask me, that future has already passed.
