That's just disheartening. Harper was certainly one of the most athletic big men in the WWE.

If Ambrose is actually gone for good, the hype they are giving his departure is fucking stupid. It’s going to make them virtually NO more money to keep promoting him and his farewell. All while heavily promoting a guy who is likely on his way to work for another company. What is the upside here?

GD 04-16-2019 10:25 PM

Imagining Matt Riddle debuting on RAW and Cole going "Riddle me this, Corey!"

Because "WWE logic, so fuck you" is why. They prob'ly think this is bolstering Reigns in a significant way.

Besides, they could be just as petty and pretend he never existed for the last... wait, when was he feuding with Regal in FCW again? Ten years ago? "The Shield was always a tag team!" Be glad they aren't doing that.

Going by HBO's Andre doc, seems the only requirement is WWE has to be aware of the content of the episode or film before they approve footage requests.

A Benoit doc probably wouldn't be an issue considering WWE didn't have any issues with the upcoming Moolah one. Something like a Snuka doc focusing on his girlfriend's death could be out of the question since it might uncover new stuff about Vince's rumored involvement and open him up to potential legal issues.

Here's a couple of the episodes I was talking about. It's on Deathmatch Wrestling and the other one is on Wrestling in Northern Canadian Indian Reservations. Both are excellent. It's too bad Viceland Canada shutdown. This was an awesome series. I'll see if I can find the ones on the Exoticos in Mexico and Bolivian voodoo wrestling

Emperor Smeat 04-17-2019 08:44 PM

Only watched their Bolivian indigenous women doc and maybe some of the Exoticos one but knew about their Deathmatch one.

Didn't know they made one about Canada's indigenous wrestlers nor it being an actual series.

Viceland Canada shutdown March 30th of last year so we only got the one season.

That's right, the Bolivian one was about the women. There was another one on Voodoo wrestling in the Congo

After watching it, and thinking about it, I agree with Scott Hall the whole thing was a work and everyone was in on it. Vince wouldn't have let any of what aired on tv if he didn't ok it. And in the end he knew the endgame was his Mr McMahon character he could use in future storylines.

The only thing I wish was they had been able to get HBK involved.

I don't mind hearing about it. I'll never forget it. I was 10... a mega HBK fan, I was so pumped for this rematch of at that time my favorite match the WM 12 Iron Man Match. The hype and buzz around this match was so tense, I was young but I knew there was something raw about all of it. When McMahon said on the pre show when asked by Cole (possibly his debut) who will win the main event and Vince said "I DON'T KNOW".... something was up.

What a great show. The match itself was a disappointment but it was insane and I'll never forget it. Plus there is always the chance it was a work so it's always interesting.

Cornette is so fucking underrated by the internet.

He’s mentioned stuff like getting Shamrock to go in there with Bret, and the suggestion of a double-cross, but I think that’s the first time I’ve heard him say that the HBK gets Bret in the Sharpshooter spot was his. For some reason, I had it in my head it was Pat.

Lars Sullivan made another controversial tweet that he then deleted. Nothing too bad, just about the fans being easily triggered, but it's just tasteless, tacky and disrespectful to people with genuine PTSD/anxiety disorders, which Sullivan would, you'd think, be more sensitive to.

Also a bad sign that perhaps he has not grown up from his trolling ways and is going to be a perpetual headache for the company. I really don't expect this guy to last too long before he puts his foot in it big time.

Mr. Nerfect 04-20-2019 02:08 AM

Lana also came out and said that the company never gave her an explanation as to why she should fade out her Russian accent. Man, I can't remember a period of time where so much talent just flat-out talked about how much WWE sucks, and how public they are with their unhappiness within the company.

This reminds me of Benoit, Konnan and Raven talking shit about WCW while they were there, lol. It's pretty surreal.

In a bit of irony, he ended up getting "triggered" after someone took a jab at him for the tweet and blocked that person in retaliation.

It’s kind of why I don’t feel sorry for him. Not so much on the anxiety front, but when it comes to the trolling and obvious racism. He was old enough to “know better.”

I think I’ve seen that three-way, but I don’t remember Eddie wearing a singlet. Weird he seemingly went back to one.

Is there a WWE dream match? I mean, like, between two members of the available WWE roster?

Lashley vs. Lesnar although that's more of a personal dream match for Lashley since he's pushed the idea a couple of times and was a big reason why he left Impact to return to WWE.

Lashley originally saw Lesnar as a dream opponent for his MMA career but since it wasn't possible due to circumstances, he settled on the idea of doing it as a wrestling match instead.

No. Everyone faces everyone else as quickly as possible and then they try to find enough part-timers for WrestleMania to make it feel “special”. Just gotta hope Hollywood and the UFC can keep creating part-timers that WWE can buy for that second part because they sure as fuck aren’t gonna create them.

I’m actually with you in theory. Lashley didn’t make enough of a name for himself outside of WWE and left that part up to WWE. And now the idea of that match is laughable.

A well-handled Lashley over the past 2 years vs Lesnar would be a fucking great spectacle though.

The way Lashley was presented in his first run, as a bit of a golden goose, felt like they wanted him to replace Lesnar in a sense, which fueled everything there a bit. Plus, the guy's have the same initials, lol. It's not much, but "BROCK LESNAR vs. BOBBY LASHLEY" with those two dudes, in perfect form, on a billboard makes wonderful sense.

I feel for Lashley a bit. He's never been the worker Brock is. His selling and his execution of stuff is a lot more forced and clunky. The guy's a freak of nature though, and when presented in a proper way, there's no reason he can't have the "Wow!" effect on your average fan.

I think the guy is hurt a bit by his physique in context of the modern era. They wanted him to be a babyface, but it looks absolutely ridiculous selling for dudes like Sami Zayn, who he looks like he should be able to pick the bones of. But if he did that, fans would revolt.

It probably would have been smart to bring him in and put him against someone like a John Cena. The fans wouldn't mind Lashley destroying Cena and would probably cheer it. Put him against heels like Orton, Wyatt, Harper and maybe have him squash Miz a few times. The fans wouldn't spit him out then. But then you've got to ask what the point of coddling a guy so much in 2018/2019 is. It's a lot of effort to just get to one match, and then you're left with the question of "what next?"
