He certainly is resting in peace. Resting after a successful surgery.

Seems nobody knows what's ailing Flair since the surgery wasn't for his colon either and he's actually suffering from a lot more stuff.

Updates from PWI regarding Flair's current medical condition. Basically he's staying in the hospital for a while but his outlook is better than it was yesterday even if he's still in very critical condition.

The surgery he had was for his bowels and the reason things took a drastic turn for the worst was due to his kidneys shutting down at one point.

A source close to the situation told PWInsider.com that while reports are out there that Flair had surgery on his colon, those are incorrect. It appears those stories began because Gene Okerlund mistakenly said colon on social media.

The surgery was actually on Flair's bowels due to a massive obstruction caused by a health issue that was complicated by other health issues that Flair had been dealing with, including heart issues that he was already aware of. The situation turned dire when Flair's kidneys shut down due to the obstruction and he is currently undergoing dialysis that will hopefully fix the situation and allow them to return to normal.

Flair was in extremely bad shape several days ago but the outlook, we are told, is better. However, we were cautioned that he is still in critical condition and anything can happen, so he's not out of the woods yet and is expected to need at least one more surgery in the weeks to come.

This is NOT a case where Flair will wake up tomorrow and leave the hospital the next day.

Speaking of shady ass hotlines, I was watching some stuff from the early 90s the other day. Jim Ross was schilling his NWA hotline during a match and reminded kids to "get your parents' permission before calling". Gene once said in a teaser that a former World Heavyweight Champion just died, call to find out who on one of his commercials on Saturday Night. So you have to listen to the entire call only for Gene to reveal the death of former AWA wrestler Jerry Crusher Blackwell lol, who wasn't even a world champion in the AWA.

Lol and then there was the time where in one of his commercials Mean Gene said that Magic Johnson and Davey Boy Smith have something in common but it's too hot to talk about on television (not that long after Magic revealed he had HIV). The big reveal was they both had the same surgery hahaha.

Mean Gene would be given all kinds of Hell if there was a WCW holiness still in this day and age.
