Jeff Cobb (Matanza in Lucha Underground) recently teased at wanting to join the WWE in the near future on his Instagram account.

Time to do the Shera Shuffle

Apparently Ziggler is staying for another 2 years in the WWE.

Not a bad description but I'd put most of it on Impact wanting him to be that character. Was much better when he was with James Storm in the Revolution as Khoya.

Bigger waste of $ than the XFL

Mr. Nerfect 02-14-2018 10:52 PM

Yeah, I'm really surprised to hear they are paying Ziggler that much. I mean, who was the last person to benefit from working with him?

Mr. Nerfect 02-14-2018 10:52 PM

I'm kind of expecting Buddy Murphy to win the tournament, to be honest.

Sixx 02-14-2018 10:57 PM

What I hate the most about Ziggler is his name. How in the world could they put the strap on someone named DOLPH ZIGGLER? It's like Child Diddler.

Miz?

Although that was more because the storyline of Title vs Career was really good.

#1-norm-fan 02-14-2018 11:05 PM

$1.5 million a year seems like a shitload of money for Dolph considering how expendable they treat him.

Emperor Smeat 02-14-2018 11:13 PM

Would put him in the top 5-6 range assuming the amount is true. Brock supposedly makes around $6 million a year, Cena around $2 million, Triple H around $1-$2 million, and then several in the $1-$1.5 million range.

Think he was rumored before to be making in the $500k-$750k range per year.

Sixx 02-14-2018 11:23 PM

Cena only makes 500k more than fucking Dolph Ziggler?

not including merch or incentives or a bigger piece of the houses, yea

If the WWE were a taco, Dolph would be olives that cost $10 extra.

Who the fuck even has olives in a taco? You watch him get a big push now that they're paying him for it though. He's already been added to the Fastlane main event. I can see him being moved to Raw and working with Roman Reigns or being the first challenger for Shinsuke Nakamura after Mania.

He makes a lot more off of merch and other stuff but think the $2 million range is his base salary. Also very possible he makes closer to $3 million as his base.

Same for Triple H making more money when you include other stuff he gets as perks. He gets two paychecks with his wrestler one being lower than his COO one.

Bigger piece of the houses meaning bigger cut from the house shows?

Droford 02-14-2018 11:35 PM

Dolph wins the title and makes it a triple threat so he can finally main event* Wrestlemania

*and by "Main event wrestlemania" we mean wrestle in a title match that occurs sometime on the card but not the last match on the card cause thats Roman Reigns time to shine

Mr. Nerfect 02-14-2018 11:49 PM

Not the most unrealistic thing in the world at this point, especially if they don't trust Styles and Nakamura as a program.

Nicky Fives 02-15-2018 06:42 AM

I love Dolph as much as the next guy, but even I find his payday a bit strange. I guess it makes sense since he's been in the company for quite awhile, but it seems like they have tons of guys they could elevate to his spot for WAY cheaper with a small tweak to their booking. No reason why someone like Curt Hawkins, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, Zack Ryder, Elias or Chad Gable to take his "has great matches with the big star to make him look good but always job" spot in the upper mid-card after a few months of stronger booking beforehand.....

Ryder - I'm tired of tag teams, I'm tired of being overlooked. This is my dream job and nobody is taking it away from me. Heel turn, US Title reign, close loss to WWE Champion Styles/Nakamura. Elevated.

Axel/Dallas - Miz would have been nothing without us. He cares more for his unborn kid than us. We are third generation. Championships are our destiny. Request a trade from Raw to Smackdown. Inserted into WWE Title picture, close loss to WWE Champion Styles/Nakamura. Elevated.

This doesn't seem like rocket science to me.....

Let me think about this for awhile.

Baron Corbin in early 2016?

1.5 mil a year. Fucking ridiculous.

Evil Vito 02-15-2018 10:32 AM

Dolph getting paid that much is laughable.

#BROKEN Hasney 02-15-2018 11:43 AM

Yeah, I don't get it at all. Like, I think he could have been a bigger deal than he is now, but that time has long passed and there's no salvaging that.

Lol did he say that?

Simple Fan 02-15-2018 12:36 PM

I think he also gets freedom to do this gs outside the company as long as it doesn't contradict his WWE schedule and he can leave once his segment is done and doesn't have to stick around to the end of the show.

Ol Dirty Dastard 02-15-2018 12:40 PM

In fairness...... good on him for negotiating that deal. He deserves kudos given how rough it's been for him.

#1-norm-fan 02-15-2018 02:25 PM

Given how much his focus seems to be on outside ventures and how people who know him talk about him, I get the feeling he's stopped giving a fuck. And that's a good thing. If he were really concerned about how his character is handled at this point he'd have lost his fucking mind.

Evil Vito 02-15-2018 02:26 PM

I'm pretty certain Dolph stopped giving a fuck when they did absolutely nothing with him after Survivor Series 2014.

Ol Dirty Dastard 02-15-2018 02:37 PM

The lack of giving a fuck is probably what got him that deal. Honestly, sweet jesus. I just don't get it lol.

#1-norm-fan 02-15-2018 02:42 PM

Maybe it's like the old movie cliche where the guy stands up at a business meeting like "You know what, sir! Fuck you and fuck this company! I'm fed up!" and his boss is like "... I like your spunk! RAISE!"

#1-norm-fan 02-15-2018 02:43 PM

Oh my God... Dolph Ziggler is Peter Gibbons from Office Space...

Ol Dirty Dastard 02-15-2018 02:59 PM

He's definitely replacing Brian Pillman as the highest paid curtain jerker in the business.

This would be Jinder Mahal levels of awful. Both guys are scrubs and have failed pushes under their belts. Ryder is also incredibly mediocre in ring.
