Bad News Gertner 04-10-2017 11:23 AM

Yup, a true man. Not these fancy boys running around today.

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-10-2017 11:26 AM

lmfao

But those fancy boys running around these days are tougher than you, so you'd be fucked.

Bad News Gertner 04-10-2017 11:27 AM

Please. I'd flick these vanilla midgets with my index finger.

Then they'd all take 3 months off to deal with their feelings

It's true...

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-10-2017 11:33 AM

lol

These days sounds like it's getting a little more "old school" again as far as the boys, since all the legit indy talent who've travelled the world are coming into the locker room, and not just guys from the WWE machine.

At least that was Reigns and Jericho were implying during Jericho's podcast.

Something tells me it's a little more than that.

Also, we all know Mr. Perfect did the best ribs.

WWE should fire JBL to make a stand that bullying is BANNED4Life...an example needs to be made....he prob should have been fired 4LIFE for Nazi Celebrating previously but they gave his white, male, Christian, upper middle class ass another chance....

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-10-2017 12:31 PM

Lock Jaw 04-10-2017 12:36 PM

Everyone in this thread should stop bullying JBL.

I hate bowlies.

Bad News Gertner 04-10-2017 01:44 PM

If JBL had a high workrate and were an IWC darling we would not be having this conversation

JBL wouldn't mess with people who had power, or could wreck him. There's a reason why he won't say anything bad or try anything with a Nakamura or a Lesnar.

Likely because Nak and Lesnar are respectful, and wouldn't need a guy like JBL to keep them in check.

In a lot of cases, you have to just put up with the torment or potentially risk losing your "dream job" in WWE.

In some new interview, John Morrison says he was only able to finally stand up to JBL's bullying after he was a big established star in WWE.

Nothing would you get you over with Vince more than putting someone who is picking on you in their place, if you can.

Hazing and ribbing is one thing, but nobody should be made to hate going to their workplace, especially if it was their dream job.

The same people going after JBL are probably the same ones calling Eva Marie a skank/whore etc..

I called her talentless, not a skank or a whore. Don't know what you're talking about.

Bad News Gertner 04-10-2017 03:01 PM

I'm talking about people in general. They were HORRIBLE to her.

"funny ribbing"

Quote:

According to Silverman, Charles Robinson is chief target of the "boys" and their "harmless ribs", and Billy continues to go into detail about one rib in particular that disturbed him. While preparing in the arena hours before a show, some of the boys snuck up on Robinson, held him down, stripped him of all his clothing, bound him with tape and gagged his mouth. Robinson was then attached to a cart and wheeled into the middle of the arena and paraded around in front of the ring crew while everyone laughed heartily.

Silverman brings up Bradshaw next, and explains how Bradshaw threatened him with violence if he didn't oblige to carrying large amounts of Bradshaw's liquor across the Canadian border. Robinson suffered back injury from carrying all of Bradshaw's bottles and the boys forced him to serve them the alcohol as well when the plane landed. Robinson calls Bradshaw a self-appointed "chief of police" in the WWF, while I call Bradshaw a bully, extremely overrated, and a pretty fucked up human being. Robinson took this matter to a member of management who's exact response was "Just do what Bradshaw tells you to".

JBL has done some pretty weird shit, but getting fired for picking on Mauro for being a mark? Seriously? He was a mark...

It depends though.

If someone is overly sensitive, or has a mental health issue, they may perceive a joke or a light-hearted rib to be something more. I would rather get rid of the sensitive person I that situation, because they're always going to be a nuisance. Especially in this case when no offence to Mauro, but he's a dime a dozen announcer, there are literally thousands of people who can do what he does.

And when you read into the story, it's basically Mauro acted like a dumb mark and posted about some two but internet award and got called out for it. I don't know the exact details of what was said to him, but it's dumb for him to get all giddy about something as meaningless as an award for a website that maybe 10k people visit on a regular basis. When you're on a platform that literally reaches hundreds of millions of people. So he deserves to be ridiculed for that. Did that interaction make it so he can't come to work? Or is it more likely that because of his mental health issues (which I get are serious), he could have been triggered by any number of simple things in the future like someone taking the last cale salad at catering?

He seems like a guy who prefers to be the King of marks, and stay in the underground than understanding how to take it to the next level on the WWE stage. The JBL encounter sounds like a cop out. But I look forward to seeing what details he provides to prove otherwise.

Did people actually like Bradshaw "in the ring"

I remember always thinking he was insanely boring, both "in the ring" and in terms of personality...

Always just saw him as "the guy from the boring ass 'New Blackjacks'"

Great with the APA, in the ring and moreso in backstage skits. Like in my mind his act was just below the top guys of the Attitude Era.

Then the while Cabinet JBL stuff was epic.

Because I've never heard of someone getting injured carrying liquor. Even a shrimp like Lil Naitch.

So true.

It reminds me of the Kevin Nash hate on the net. The internet sheep will tell you that Nash held everyone down and only looked out for his friends. Meanwhile anyone who knows them, knows Bret and Ric Flair were notorious for helping their friends over other talent. But the internet fiends don't mention those guys because they had five star matches. Tons of guys in the business have played ribs and got under people's skin. JBL gets picked on because the Dave Meltzer's of the world use their limited power to bully him. It needs to stop.
