The Jets like signing running backs who used to be really good.

Curtis Martin came to mind when I hear of the news

Raiders traded Terrelle Pryor to Seahawks for an expected late round draft pick.
|
That's a head scratcher right there. Unless Tavaris Jackson is on his way out.
|
I'm not that surprised he's out of Oakland, but I didn't expect Seattle to be his new home.

Cowboys/Niners week one. 0-1 start for Harbaugh whoooo

Broncos kick off the season with The War of 1812. (Broncos vs. Colts)
After that, the bulk of our opponents are either from the AFC West, AFC East, and NFC West. The Bengals are the odd team out. Just............weird. |
That's how every team's schedule is, and has been for a while. They'll play one NFC division, one AFC division, their own, and 2 strength of schedule games.
I don't know the specifics of the SoS games, but I know they play teams that finished in the same xth position in other divisions (just not sure which) |
i.e. Broncos were 1st in their division so play Bengals (1st in AFC North) and Colts (1st in AFC South)

Ravens schedule
Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 7 – vs. Bengals, 1 p.m. Week 2: Thursday, Sept. 11 – vs. Steelers, 8:25 (CBS) Week 3: Sunday, Sept. 21 – at Browns, 1 p.m. Week 4: Sunday, Sept. 28 – vs. Panthers, 1 p.m. Week 5: Sunday, Oct. 5 – at Colts, 1 p.m. Week 6: Sunday, Oct. 12 – at Buccaneers, 1 p.m. Week 7: Sunday, Oct. 19 – vs. Falcons, 1 p.m. Week 8: Sunday, Oct. 26 – at Bengals, 1 p.m. Week 9: Sunday, Nov. 2 – at Steelers, 8:30 p.m. (NBC) Week 10: Sunday, Nov. 9 – vs. Titans, 1 p.m. Week 11: Sunday, Nov. 16 – BYE Week 12: Monday, Nov. 24 – at Saints, 8:30 p.m. (ESPN) Week 13: Sunday, Nov. 30 – vs. Chargers, 1 p.m. Week 14: Sunday, Dec. 7 – at Dolphins, 1 p.m. Week 15: Sunday, Dec. 14 – vs. Jaguars, 1 p.m. Week 16: Sunday, Dec. 21 – at Texans, 1 p.m. Week 17: Sunday, Dec. 28 – vs. Browns, 1 p.m. Ravens get 5 of their 6 division games out of the way by week 9. Tough stretch in the middle week 5-12 with 5 road games out of 7 plus a bye. That late bye is good..their last 4 games are all winnable. Ravens have the easiest schedule of teams not in the AFC South, the toughest games they play are at the Saints and vs the Panthers. |
That's an interested schedule (Ravens)... the past few years the league has backloaded most of the division games, so it's interesting to see them have so many early on and have so few "meaningful" games late in the season

Lots of NFC East games in prime time.

Why does it seem like Denver plays in New England every season?
|
Because this is the third year in a row they've played there during the season.
EDIT: I was curious and looked it up. Post seems dickish without me clarifying. |
Goodell said this week that the league would consider adding a FOURTH day to the NFL Draft. When I initially saw the headline I thought maybe that meant they'd add more rounds since there are a lot of guys who go undrafted who wind up being pretty good finds. But nope, it would still be 7 rounds.
I'm assuming that means that the 2nd round would get its own day as well. And then you'd do Rounds 3-4 and 5-7 in the final two days. Or Round 3 gets its own day with 4-7 on the final day. Either way, that would be ridiculous - even more than it already is. At that point you may as well just stretch it out over a week and do a round a day. |
Yea I mean just do a round a day ,might as well. They're getting carried away with stretching it
|
Isn't it 4 days already, thursday-sunday?
|
I hate the NFL draft.

|
What, the draft hasn't even taken place yet? What a waste of time, making it out to be some big event
|
Wait. Yeah. Hasn't the draft always been in April? I never checked the date and now before I know it, April's over and there is no draft. What's with this May bullshit?
|
I hate these Cowboys going hard for Manziel rumors. Jerry needs to die.
|
I actually dig the draft, but it was so much better as a Saturday and Sunday event. This Thursday and Friday bullshit sucks.
|
I really want the Giants to get Eli another weapon. Mike Evans would be an absolute dream, but it's hard to imagine him still being there at 12. I'd have a hard time seeing him slip past the Bucs at #7. I can't even remember the last time the Giants traded up in the first round...not sure they'd want to part with the picks necessary to leap ahead of Tampa.
I've long said I'd love to get Eric Ebron as he's a legitimate vertical threat who can help stabilize the TE position after years of it being a revolving door. But he's not known as a blocker, which the Giants value in their TEs. The Coughlin/Reese regime just doesn't seem to see the value in drafting a TE early. So that leaves OL as the likely position, Taylor Lewan and Zack Martin being the most likely to still be on the board. Can't really go wrong there. Geoff Schwartz was a great pickup and Justin Pugh was good, but the other 3 projected starters have huge health red flags. |

Rams and Vikings rumored to be in trade talks with the Vikings get Sam Bradford as the basis of the deal.
Vikings already stated they won't be keeping Christian Ponder after this year while the Rams are rumored to be drafting a QB for their 1st Round pick this year. |
^^ wow that'd be big
