Alex Smith is gonna have a break out season.. They made alot of moves to sure up their D (P-Willy WHAT).. And if Frank Gore and Vernon Davis play up to their potential, they'll be a threat in the NFC for years to come..

SammyG 09-08-2007 07:35 PM

We have improved our defense. James Hall on the line will be solid, Chris Draft is a good linebacker, Carriker is gonna be a beast in the middle. We will win this division, no doubt in my mind.

Gunna go ahead and save this, Rams have at best a 25% chance of winning it

Fixing one of the league's worst run defenses isn't gonna happen by adding a rookie and a health-risk DE who had a couple good seasons. Teams are still gonna run all over the Rams.

Well put.

MTH15 09-08-2007 10:14 PM

Some good games on tommorow. But week 1 isn't that important to me. Just 16 teams that can possibly go undefeated.

mrslackalack 09-08-2007 10:15 PM

Cant wait till tomorrow.

MTH15 09-08-2007 10:33 PM

I can. I wish I could see the Falcons play. But like Ive said since last year. Watch Jerious Norwood. Hes a future HOF person. And Jimmy Williams our FS, and our WR Adam Jennings

Gonzo 09-08-2007 10:54 PM

If the Falcons can develop some kind of passing attack Norwood could have a good season. But otherwise, opposing defenses will just be able to tee off on the running game, and Norwood won't do squat. Believe me, I think Norwood can be good but not if the offense is one dimensional.

MTH15 09-08-2007 10:56 PM

I see what your saying. Im expecting the Falcons to go 10-6. Cerialously

Kris P Lettus 09-08-2007 11:04 PM

lol

MTH15 09-08-2007 11:14 PM

Joey Harrington isn't horrible. We have the right people we just need to GetUrDunn

Kris P Lettus 09-08-2007 11:15 PM

LOL

MTH15 09-08-2007 11:25 PM

If our defense performs well we will go home with a W. Joey Harrington has won 3 in a row preseason style. And Joe Horn gonna light some shit up

HOWD YEUR DOIN?

road doggy dogg 09-09-2007 12:30 AM

Falcons, no. Their offense is going to be brutal. Their running game last season was one of the best (maybe the top, I forget exactly) in the league, but that was with Vick's presence. Harrington isn't a quarter the athlete Vick is. Teams can bottle up Dunn (he's gonna break down before the season's half done) and Norwood a lot easier with a QB like Harrington in there. Teams will just load 8 guys in the box all the time, forcing Atlanta to pass on them. And why not? They have Harrington who's proved nothing since coming to the NFL (trust me, I've endured it as a Lions fan), Joe Horn who has been injured the past 2 years, and a mish-mash of 1st-round busts at WR. Crumpler's banged up and had good chemistry with Vick but that's gone now. Their passing attack won't be AWFUL but it won't be anything to write home about and will take them a few weeks to really get anything going.

Basically, no. The whole Vick thing is just the icing on the cake.

Gonzo 09-09-2007 01:35 AM

RDD pretto much echoes my sentiments regarding the Falcons, but I just didn't really feel like having to go through the whole spiel.

SammyG 09-09-2007 02:35 AM

Ommgggg kickoff is like less than 11 hours away.

Mr. Monday Morning 09-09-2007 07:00 AM

re: ATL don't forget Petrino is changing the running attack, so there's a good chance it could either boom or bust (more likely the latter).

6 hours

Kris P Lettus 09-09-2007 10:10 AM

3 hours..

I wonder what games will be on here due to the Saints already playing..

Prolly the Giants..

F'n Eli..

Kris P Lettus 09-09-2007 10:21 AM

Oh I see we get Giants Cowboys tonight..

I hope they show GB/Philly and Jax/Titans early..

Kris P Lettus 09-09-2007 11:50 AM

T.O. is such a piece of shit.. He was excusing Vick's actions saying it's a cultural thing and that is just like deer hunting.. I didn't realize Vick ate the dogs after killing them.. The best part was after admitting he'd been to dog fights, they asked him when was the last time and he was all like "OH!! MAN, it's been YEARS.. Since I was a little kid.. *smile* *wink* "

He a a fucking idiot piece of shit..

SammyG 09-09-2007 11:54 AM

His book is definitely a good read.

Kris P Lettus 09-09-2007 12:13 PM

 MAYNE EVENT!!

Crimson 09-09-2007 12:16 PM

Well the Cowboys should win tonite but i'm not really sure what to expect from the Giants, which makes it kinda scary. I think Eli will have a good year, but not sure how he'll look same goes for Jacobs..they will either look real good or real bad I think. Romo should have a field day on their secondary for sure though.

The Bears will get their ass kicked..I can see the Jets in an early season upset on the Pats.

OssMan 09-09-2007 12:27 PM

Supreme Olajuwon 09-09-2007 01:12 PM

lol Browns punt on their first possession and get 4 separate penalties called on the play

MTH15 09-09-2007 01:12 PM

I live in DC lol and Sean Taylor looked like he was about to pick a fight with a lineman lmao

Supreme Olajuwon 09-09-2007 01:14 PM

probably not that funny

Kris P Lettus 09-09-2007 01:17 PM

What an idiot whoever muffed that punt for Philly.. Than Al Haris almost gave it back to them within the 10 yard line.. Don't scoop at the ball, fall on the ball.. They teach you that in 7th grade..

FearedSanctity 09-09-2007 01:18 PM

Yay for still horrible special teams!

Kris P Lettus 09-09-2007 01:19 PM

Happy birthday Supreme.. I would've made you a thread in casual but I've made two b-day threads in the past two days..

:wavesad:

OssMan 09-09-2007 01:21 PM

taylor wasnt gonna pick a fight with him what, they were laughing with each other and you could tell this. the lineman gave him a "friendly slap" on the head afterwards and then they walked away

MTH15 09-09-2007 01:21 PM

Um happy B-Day. Fuck we're losing. Yea but at first it looked like he tried to push him over the pile when the play was over. Tedd Ginn Jr. wont be a bust.

Mr. Monday Morning 09-09-2007 01:24 PM

Get used to it

Kris P Lettus 09-09-2007 01:25 PM

Packers INT of McNabb..

WOOOOOOOOO

Kris P Lettus 09-09-2007 01:27 PM

LOL

Favre was so mad after his rookie RB dropped a screen pass, that he ripped his chinstrap off his helmet.. Like, he had the walk back and pick it up off the ground..
