Rate the Game: Week 57
Hey, y'all! Enjoying Star Wars Day? I'm not. Because it's not Star Wars Day. It's my day! And I'm going to enjoy it because it's my day. First I have to perform my civic duty by hosting this little shindig. Guitar Hero was our last game and it's certainly one of the most memorable games in recent history. How does it fare when it's average is added to the leaderboard?

In the Xbox camp - never played it.
That said, it seemed kinda like another Tomb Raider, and the last few Tomb Raiders have been very good. |

HA! That'd actually be very cool.

From the mind of Amy Henning. One of the all time greats in gaming. This franchise really put the hammer down on reasons why to own a Playstation with exclusives like these.
Great story, graphics, plot, etc. Easily a 4.5 from me. Loses half a point because the gunplay was god awful. And, they never really improved on it as the series went on. But, since we don't do half points here, I'll round it down to 4. |
Did it though? I know I never played it, but it never really made me say "Man, I want new hardware just for that game. I dunno.

Yeah. I think most if not all the games in the series were highly rated by critics. A couple of have even take home Game of the Year awards.
|
Critics, pffft
|
Guess what else took a lot of awards?

4. I really enjoyed it, but the "mutated humans" bit knocks it down a peg (I'm probably in the minority there).
I will say also that the 2013 Tomb Raider feels like a better version of Uncharted. |
1 is very meh. 2 was a GotY quality title and 4 is just as good. 3 is solid. bu since this is about no.1 i give it a 2.

Pretty much mediocre. Story is nothing beyond entitled guy kills people to steal treasure, the game pushes you forward pretty quick, the visuals are decent. The later games in the series are fine, but this one goes into the bin

Needed more polish in some areas, but overall it was still a fun playthrough. Really excellent voice work, especially for the time. |

Seeing as I never owned a PlayStation 3 I wasn't able to be there for the series from the beginning but one of my closest friends was and still is in love with it and would recommend it to me. I finally got the collection on my PlayStation 4 and I have to say I'm quite impressed with it. It doesn't always hit bullseyes when it comes to combat but it's a neat adventure and Nathan himself is a great protagonist. I don't know when I'll get around to the sequels but for now I can safely call the original a 4.

the other games are leagues betrer so youll enjoy them a great deal
