Really don't like this version of Aquaman from what I see....

Flash costume looks bad, but good to see in that trailer that he seems to have a bit "lighter personality"

I really like the Flash so far! Movie looks fun and very non-dark compared to BvsS

Don't really like the Flash suit. Aquarian looks badass though. Would rather have Green Lantern than I would Cyborg.

I thought Green Lantern was supposed to be in it too.... maybe he doesn't show up until near the end.....

Really miss Aquaman's blonde hair and bright orange shirt/green pants combo.....

This indeed looks much lighter than BvS. However, considering who's behind it, my faith in this is gone. Everything looks cool, but that could've been said about the last two movies Snyder directed.

I like that the dude playing Flash cut his hair. Wasn't big on the casting but after watching the trailer he looks fine. Not big on the suit though, looks like the New power ranger suits. The new look for Aquaman is needed, he's the least popular of the Justice League in my opinion( I'm not counting Cyborg) and something new and fresh is cool. As for Cyborg I'm not sold on his look right now.

The tone does look to be lighter than Dawn of Justice( which I loved) and is warranted with younger Leagers in Flash and Cyborg. My biggest problem with Dawn of Justice was it's soundtrack, I don't feel like it complimented the film to where it made certain scenes not feel as big as they were.

Also hope they don't over do it with the trailers for this movie like they did in Dawn of Justice. Shouldn't see anything about Superman in any trailers.

If the previous film marketing is any indication, they'll show a ton from the movie.

I actually really enjoyed the score for Dawn of Justice. Thought it was better than the film it was made for.

I'm glad Erza Miller was given a scene where we could see why he was casted.

Aquaman looks like a complete bad ass though. The talk to fish line is funny.

Aquaman looks badass coz Jason Momoa is intimidating as fuck in whatever role he plays.

Otherwise, I dunno if it's the Marvel fan in me, but I just feel a big "meh" about this. Don't really care about Cybord, and the whole recruiting process of this film just seems so ten years too late.

I don't have much faith in the tone being as light as it appears in the trailer. Given the criticism from some over how dark and somber previous installments have been this feels like a bit of an over-correction.

I don't think it's an over correction. This film will have a younger and larger cast that will generate a lighter tone. Dawn of Justice had the tone it needed as Batman and Superman are both mature characters that were getting played by Lex.

Bvs was far too serious. To the point that it was dull and overbearing.

JL doesn't seem overly light. It still looks similar to the previous films in the way it's shot, though it does seem to be lighter.

If that whole "Unite the seven" slogan that accompanied the first look at Aquaman isn't referring to just the seven seas then we are indeed short one member for this team.....

Perhaps Green Lantern is already cast/shot and he's gonna show up near the end? Who knows.

I just want to sleep until this movie comes out.

It's like they were all "How do we make Aquaman cool? I know! Instead of actually putting in any effort into it, let's just make Aquaman a different character!"

I think they succeeded in making Aquaman cool. Actually made him bad ass. A campy blonde orange and green suited Aquaman would have sucked in my opinion.

I think the comic book version of Aquaman (they way he's been written for the last 5 years or so, maybe more) is pretty badass as he is

I don't see how he's a completely different character other than his appearance. Still has the same powers and I assume he's King of Atlantis. I'm really interested to see what they do with his movie.

We'll pretend Marvel Studios didn't find a way to make source-accurate costumes, colors intact, look badass for a while now.

This isn't Marvel though and I'm glad they are mixing things up. It's not a comic book either this is it's own world that is trying to present something that looks realistic. You never know he could get some orange and green later but right off the bat it wouldn't make sense to have him in his comic book uniform if he's not exactly Aquaman yet. It's not a big deal to me that he's not wearing orange and green as I think the new look is better and something that an Atlantian would actually wear.

What do you base what "Atlanteans would actually wear" on? Please cite your sources. Do you mean it is more "historically accurate"? Please list what textbooks you have referred to here.

Just my imagination. If Atlantis was real I'd see the people of Atlantis wearing something like what they have Aquaman in. I wouldn't expect to see bright colors in a secret city that is underwater. Bright colors would draw preditors(not a problem if Aquaman is around) and humans to the city I would think.

What do you mean what? An Atlantean wouldn't wear anything bright that would make them stand out to the open world in my opinion. It's a city that people have looked for and never found so I assume it's camouflaged into the ocean. The People wouldn't be clean cut every day looking people either. They live a life of seclusion and I think it would show in what they wear as not to attract any unwanted attention. That's just my vision of what Atlantis would be like though.

It's like hunters wearing orange so other hunters can see them in the woods. The people of Atlantis wouldn't wear orange because it could give them away. Now once Aquaman is acknowledged by the world I could see him adding some orange and green to look less threatening to the public.

If you say so but it's true, orange is an attracting color. People are hunting for Atlantis all the time so I don't see an Atlantean wearing orange.

Like I said that's just my interpretation of Atlantis. When you envision Atlantis you can have rainbows in it for all I care. I just see a realistic Atlantis as secluded and content not wanting to draw attention to themselves.

As long as the movie is good and the character is accurately represented then who cares? It doesn't need to look ripped straight from the pages for either of those two things to happen.

So I just re-watched that trailer I think I've figured why it's so "meh" to me.

The "finale" of the trailer is very lackluster. Very.

The Avengers trailers, especially the first one when the whole superhero team-up thing was new and exciting, was full of action and big poses and if I recall that twirling shot during the final battle when it circles around the whole team standing back-to-back, preparing for battle. A complete feeling of "fuck yes! This shit is on!"

This one was shite. It could be because the big team movie has already been done, or perhaps because we've already seen 50% of this team in a different movie. But either way, it's so boring. The total "fuck yeah" feeling of the Avengers movies is missing. It's just four of 'em walking into a room, and a shitty Batman joke that wasn't really funny at all. Nothing that left me feeling like "holy fuck here we go!".

I think they showed little due to the movie still being in production. I actually liked the fish line. However, D.C. has burned me twice. Man of Steel was meh and BvS was a jumbled mess. I have zero faith in this universe right now. Maybe they'll prove me wrong but at this point Warner has lost any benefit of the doubt.

it's very possible steppenwolf is not the only villain, yeah. i just hope they don't overdo it with villains and stuff like 5 in there or something.

I have a feeling Steppenwolf will set up Dark Side in Justice League 2. Steppenwolf was shown in one of the BvsS deleted scenes btw:

Said this in the other thread, but Steppenwolf is just not a good choice of villain.... I know it is to set up Darkseid, but they could have used some other more well known Apokolips character, or just another more well-known space based villain and just said they were working for Darkseid......

DBZ/Justice League crossover would be mint. They would expand it to a trilogy, naturally.

Part 1: Darkseid and Frieza kick the Justice League's ass. Goku shows up near the end of the movie.

Part 2: Goku powers up and gathers energy for the spirit bomb while the Justice League and secondary DBZ characters get their ass kicked.

Part 3: Goku throws the spirit bomb, saves the day.

Goku would still kick Superman's ass. Screw Screw attack.

I've heard Brainiac is supposed to be in it as well.

thing is, the best dc villains are those of batman, mostly just evil people

that isn't justice league material, so it's hard to come up with a worthy opponent for this movie

Humanoid Starro re-imagining was pretty "badass" even if the storyline felt very "inspired"/"ripped off" from Marvel's "Annihilation" event.....

Basically revealed that all other Starros were just scouts of the dude, and now he really showed up with a massive massive army made up of the various armies of all the other galaxies he had already enslaved.

Despero has also been "badass" at times.....

Probably be a lot of different villains for the movie. Im sure Lex will factor in somehow and we haven't seen the last of Doomsday. Also feel like Steppenwolf won't be the only New God we see in Justice League part 1.

To be fair, I'd never heard of any of the marvel villains before the movies came out. Like Ronin. No clue who he was into GotG hit.

But most people didn't know who GOTG were before the movie.
