Can a little guy be a heel in a big man/small man feud?
Now I decided its time to take a step back from cartoons and start a serious wrestling discussion. My question for you today is over here. Now we all know some great feuds have been a small little guy as a face against a huge guy who plays an evil heel. This is pretty much a standard formula. BUT. Can it be reversed? Can you see the little guy being the heel and being the one "with the advantage" and the big guy being the face? Now this brings me to a cool big man/little man match I saw on YouTube. Here it is,<iframe height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/MJLu9_VOnTk" frameBorder="0" width="560" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>In this match, D-Man is the face and Bull Dozer is the heel in the classic formula where D-Man is the little guy who is brave and goes against the evil big man, Bull Dozer. But in reality, if you watch KBW, you would see that D-Man is a bit of a "dick" while Bull Dozer is kind of a regular guy. So in a way. I think that it would be better if KBW booked D-Man as the heel and Bull Dozer as the face. But then the little guy/big guy dynamic would be ruined.Whats your thoughts???????????????????

No chance I'm watching that video, but I don't think fat guys should be on trampolines.
Lol I love how this goes from a serious rasslin discussion to a gem
Last time I saw tits like that on a trampoline they were introduced by Adam Carolla and Jimmy Kimmel.
Thought this might have been a genuine discussion. Hope Curtis and all his family get cancer.
This is what I view all indy promotion are
I dunno about the guys in your vid, but last year CM Punk played the great scrawny chicken shit heel while Ryback was way over as this beast of a babyface.
Ignoring the bad attempt at promoting backyard trampoline bs, I actually like the topic.
I'd point out the Daniel Bryan vs. Big Show feud. Also, the Jimmy Jacobs vs BJ Whitmer feud in ROH was seriously amazing, but they took it a a level bigger. Not only was Jimmy Jacobs technically the heel, and the smaller guy, but in the long term scope of the feud he was "right." He wasn't really the villain per se. He was the love struck kid being manipulated by a woman, and his best friend (Whitmer) got sick of it and turned on him. |
Dude Curtis, post an ERAG match, the greatest match in the history of artistic combat
Who can forget the classic big man vs little man match between Clox and Clox's wife.

I think the match is one of the hardest to work, especially if you have a big guy who doesnt think he should bump...ever... >_>

Doesn't really fit the exact question posed in this thread, but I fucking loved when Spike Dudley turned über-heel and became The Boss. :D
I read the title thinking of a real response and then just.... well fuck you dildo face.
But also..... X-Pac/Kane |
Jinder/Khali
Jinder was interesting for about a minute when he was slapping Khali and such.

It was a bit refreshing to have him as a non-stereotypical, ethnically cartoony heel and more as a disingenuous, spoiled rich boy with money/family connections to keep Khali's rickety knees in his pocket to play reluctant enforcer. Then they went overboard on the 180 because too many "rich kids" (ADR, Mahal, DiBiase) is just so damned confusing! |
I didn't really like the explanation given as to why Jinder Mahal could control Khali so easily. I'd have liked it more if the WWE had maybe given them a back story where they trained together and Mahal had been the only guy to be able to take Khali down -- the only guy in India who could actually beat him -- his mentor's favourite student, that sort of thing. Giving Mahal a big Bollywood-style entrance instead of slow music could have allowed the guy to have come off as cocky and confident as opposed to being an "evil foreign heel," which I think is really losing its weight in today's day and age.

Is Bulldozer still a heel or did he turn face?
X-Pac vs. Kane was the perfect example of small man/big man - heel/face.
