There was like what 40-50 zombies at most pushing that fence down. Between the 5 of them slicing through their heads like butter, they probably should've dealt with the problem in like 2 minutes tops.

I think the director should have had Rick say a line in the beginning of the episode like "Isn't D-Block on fence duty now?"

Couldn't have been him seeing how the rats were inside the fence and the gate can only be opened from inside the fence. He likely has someone on the inside doing his dirty work for him.

Yeah, seems to me they should have people along the fence all the time clearing walkers. Not to be all last minute "HEY THERE ARE A LOT HERE".

Also more "booby traps" for them.

Pretty much any time I've seen walkers gathering around the fences during seasons 3 and 4 I think this!

That would take a lot of time, even with a team of people digging. Even then, you'd have to have people protecting those who are digging. Plus, where would you find that much water? How deep would you have to make the holes?

Really should have just taken over Woodbury instead of bringing everybody to live in a prison. Woodbury had some sturdy gates.

In that case, why not dig a 5 foot pit all the way around and line it with barbed wire?

That's not a bad idea but I don't know if they could have gotten that done in 7 months.

Def seems like it'd be easy to just send out a group each morning to do a sweep and take out any groups of zombies they find. There'd be a lot at first so maybe go out a few times a day. Eventually the zombie numbers in the area would die down and you'd only need the one sweep a day and then just take out any that make it through the sweep as soon as they get there rather than just stare at them through a fence while twiddling thumbs.

And yeah I guess have someone on night watch in case a horde of them come at night. Dumb tv characters.

Clearly someone is luring them to the prison at night. That or that crazy bitch in the woods is prancing around naked and causing the zombies to shamble away from her.

Aside from not being able to feed myself without shops to buy fresh food from, pretty confident I could easily survive a zombie apocalypse. Just need to find a friend with some farming skills or something.

Morgan seemed to have a good handle on fortifying his position with booby traps and pitfalls. You know, despite being crazy.

Imagine a zombie moat guys, zombies walk up to the building and fall in the 6 ft deep pit and is now a defense for the building. Rick falls in the pit somehow and has to be badass, killing zombies to stack up and climb out. Eventually the moat becomes just filled with zombies.

300 Spartans could handle it quite easily as well you know?

A zombie moat could theoretically also have the bonus of warding other zombies away because the place would stink like the dead, and they'd be like "whatever bro, I'm shambling off in that other direction"

For all the shit it takes for "silly" or "stupid" Writing, no one seems to mention they have killed probably 1000-2000 walkers in a rural area where people were FLeeing. Like no one lives within 50 miles of that prison and at all times those walls are filled.

Poor piggies, better they be zombie bait than kill anymore humans though. Loving Rick's turn around from sitting in the back benches to leading the front. The thing I don't get about the ending though is how did no one hear the smell or see the smoke and fire from those bodies, how far away would the death row be? Either way, really enjoy this weeks show. An interesting back story to come for Michone maybe?

Next week episode looks set to be awesome, zombie hordes :drool:
