Lebron's deal ended up being just 2 years, $42 million with the 2nd year as an option.

Pau Gasol signed with the Bulls.

ron the dial 07-12-2014 05:52 PM

kinda glad carmelo stayed in new york.

i'm happy getting pau. hope he can stay healthy.

Ruien 07-12-2014 08:20 PM

Happy to get Pau but we are hurting for a wing player. What players are out there to fill our void?

D Wade.

Ruien 07-12-2014 11:21 PM

He is closing his contract with Miami currently, via ESPN reports. Don't believe we have the cap space for another huge contract either right? Would have to be a half decent player instead of a star.

ron the dial 07-12-2014 11:54 PM

i wouldn't want wade anyway. last season, even with all of the rest he got, showed what he's got left, and it isn't much. i can only hope that mcdermott and mirotic can produce, provided they reach a deal with mirotic. which i'm sure they will.

ron the dial 07-12-2014 11:54 PM

and that jimmy butler can make good on whatever potential he has. although i'm not entirely sure that plays out the way that i'm hoping.

Pau :(

ron the dial 07-13-2014 01:50 AM

i will appreciate the shit out of him for you.

Frank Drebin 07-13-2014 04:18 AM

I Memba when the bulls were talking about trading for Pau with some package including Loul Deng.

Just fun to see all the dominoes fall now that Lebron signed.

Carmelo would have been exactly what the bulls needed on offense but I think it would have ended up being a mess. Does he seem like the kinda guy who's interested in coach Thibs screaming at him in the 2nd quarter of game 61?

Let's here it for the newest fan of the Cleveland Cavs!

KRIMZON!!!!!!!!

DaveBrawl 07-14-2014 08:51 AM

I appreciate the Nuggets resolve to sign no free agents at all.

McLegend 07-14-2014 04:18 PM

They were in the lead to get Mike Miller. Has that changed?

alvarado52 07-14-2014 08:23 PM

genuinely bummed about Pau leaving. As stoked as I am for the Lakers rookie picks, I consider this offseason a pretty big fail, as there were some great RFAs on the market that ended up leaving their teams.

The next two years FA crops are pretty great though, and cap space is still there to sign players. I can live with another year of mediocrity.

LeBron wants him in Cleveland, so I imagine that's probably where he will end up. I'd love him on the roster though.

Emperor Smeat 07-15-2014 04:54 PM

Heat resign Dwyane Wade to a 2 year, $30 million deal with the 2nd year as an option. Took another pay cut in order for Bosh to get a max deal and for Luol Deng to get signed (2 years, $20 million).

McLegend 07-15-2014 08:58 PM

And the Cavs do indeed sign Mike Miller.

Ruien 07-15-2014 10:03 PM

Kind of crazy there has been zero news on Lance Stephenson. With the major names being taken there has to be a few bidders, Houston maybe, trying to outbid Indiana right?

Naturally.

Emperor Smeat 07-16-2014 03:36 PM

Lance Stephenson signs with the Hornets for 3 years, $27 million.

Emperor Smeat 07-17-2014 07:24 PM

Cavs and T'Wolves currently in trade talks with the basis being Cavs getting Kevin love and the Wolves getting Andrew Wiggins. Previous talks involved Cavs kepping Wiggins but sending Anthony Bennett instead as the basis.

Crimson 07-17-2014 07:58 PM

As much as I'd like to see Wiggins develop with Lebron, you have to make that trade if you're Cleveland. Love is a beast , with Lebron and Kyrie added forget about it. The other spots you can fill in as time goes by.

alvarado52 07-18-2014 12:23 AM

I'm stoked for the Ed Davis signing. That kid always looked like he was on the verge of a breakout...time to find out.

Lakers preparing to hire Bryon Scott as their new head coach.

RP 07-26-2014 03:52 PM

Where are all the Heat fans??????

Emperor Smeat 07-28-2014 09:25 PM

Judge recently ruled against Donald Sterling in his legal attempt to block the Clipeprs sale. Sterling also won't be allowed to block the sale if he files an appeal.

Steve Ballmer expected to officially own the team by mid-August baring a sudden legal twist.

McLegend 07-29-2014 05:49 PM

NBA TV has to show more Classics games. I don't need to watch NBA GameTime 6 times a day.

McLegend 07-29-2014 05:51 PM

They do have a Lebronathon a few weeks ago, and I enjoyed that.

Would I be the only one who would watch like all 98 bulls games? The entire season? NBA TV should do stuff like that.

Emperor Smeat 07-30-2014 05:25 PM

NBA considering tweaking the lottery system with one of the big changes being the idea of the worst team no longer having the best odds at winning.

So far just the 76ers have been vocal against it since their rebuilding plans might require several "tanked" seasons to work.

Crimson 07-31-2014 07:43 PM

Its not like the worst team always gets first pick. They usually never do.

I would sign up for cable service just for that.

Indiana Pacers guard/forward Paul George suffered a severe leg injury in a Team USA scrimmage Friday night. He pursued James Harden in transition defense, then landed awkwardly against the stanchion, at which point a replay from ESPN clearly showed his leg fracturing.
