10 years build up for this....and it still managed to outdo itself. Holy shit that movie was amazing.

Nope. Not on any posters or marketing. Russo bros said there was a reason for it, so was pretty much expecting him to appear as Ronin.

Instead he and Ant-Man were "out of the game, with their families"

He'll be in The sequel.

Sixx 04-27-2018 03:57 PM

Hm, I thought Ant MAn WAS in this.

Corporate CockSnogger 04-27-2018 04:09 PM

I guess the plot you read was bogus, pal, better get googling.

Sixx 04-27-2018 04:14 PM

I read it on wikipedia, I don't specifically remember, that is all.

Their plots are legit.

Damian Rey 2.0 04-27-2018 09:19 PM

Okay so I caved. Was gonna go to the gym after my co ed softball game but forgot gym shoes. So I'm watching the movie instead. Can't fucking wait.

Damian Rey 2.0 04-28-2018 12:46 AM

Jesus fucking Christ what a fucking movie. My favorite Avengers film this far. Holy shit have I been blown the fuck away.

Frank Drebin 04-28-2018 09:38 AM

Only thing that's going to suck is
SPOILER: show
when everyone Thanos "snapped" away comes back and everything is negated from this movie. They have sequels to make, ya know?

SPOILER: show
I think it'll be fine. Loki stays dead. Gamora stays dead. And there's more deaths to come. Prob Cap and Stark. So I don't mind them bringing back those who were snapped away. The best turn to dust was Peter. So great.

Sixx 04-28-2018 10:22 AM

SPOILER: show
Come the fuck on, you doofuses. INFINITY GAUNTLET - that shit that can do anything? Everyone's gonna be fine

Everytime I see that new Peter Parker I see that little shit from Gotham that plays Bruce.

It’s so good to know I’m not on my own with this.

The film is fantastic but there is that nagging in the back of my mind that none of it will stick. I mean, if they’d have killed off Cap/Tony/etc there would at least have been a doubt. They’re not binning off billion dollar franchises after 1 movie, so you know they’re coming back.

It’s likely that them coming back means that Cap/Tony/etc do eventually die but I could have done with most it being so obvious that there will be a reset in the next film.

Having said that, I don’t think they’re actually dead per se.

Lock Jaw 04-28-2018 02:23 PM

I don't mind knowing at all that most of them will come back.

I even think that Gamora is coming back to life by the end of the next movie, and I'm fine with it.

There are still real consequences in this film, with more likely to come in the next so they can reset the roster. Downey and Evans won't play their characters forever, and their arcs likely come to an end next film. Same could be said of Thor. The snapping stuff will likely be negated but I do think we'll still get concrete losses in the next film that affect the universe as it goes forward.

Simple Fan 04-28-2018 07:51 PM

Just seen it, liked it but the ending fell flat with me. Also didn't think it had enough meaningful deaths in it. Part 2 should be pretty good.

A.J.K 04-28-2018 07:56 PM

Everything about this movie was absolutely fantastic. Super excited for part 2.

Damian Rey 2.0 04-28-2018 08:28 PM

Yeah. They can only go so far since we know the story isn't over. God damn I'm still stunned at how good it was.

Lol agreed

Fignuts 04-29-2018 05:04 PM

The Black Order is one of my favorite additions to the Thanos character, the last few years, and I'm ecstatic that they got so much screen time, and were treated so well.

I was worried about scrapping Thanos' love for death, as it's such a big part of the character, but they did a very good job with fleshing out his motivations in this film. Can understand why they did it, as it's simpler, and can be rationalized much easier. More importantly, they took that intangible "it factor" Thanos has in the comics and transferred it 100% into the film. Everything about his personality, his will, and his twisted and dry sense of humor was captured beautifully.

alvarado52 04-29-2018 05:29 PM

This was a Thanos film 100%, and they nailed it. I was very happy as well with how much effort they put into the Black Order, giving each enough time to be more than simple lackeys.

Red Skull's return was a complete surprise, and I cant wait to see him return in a larger way. I had hoped Ultron would return as well, at the very least in a JARVIS role for Thanos.

The only scene I think I felt disappointed with was the fight between Black Widow/Proxima/Okoye. Really wanted to see some CQC/Bourne shit, considering the reputations of the three.

Sixx 04-29-2018 06:15 PM

Already at $630 mill.

Really hope this beats shit like Avatar.

Damian Rey 2.0 04-29-2018 11:32 PM

It probably will

Sixx 04-30-2018 02:45 AM

I loved everything about the movie, and I have no complaints.

There has never been a better time for QuailMan to make his MCU debut than The Avengers 4.

Quailman vs Thanos

Sixx 04-30-2018 06:03 PM

I am erect. This movie was perfect. Never a dull moment. Hate those feely-touchy moments, am always like "The fuck you doing? You're supposed to be punching. Tell the bitch to fuck off and punch someone. You might even punch her."

So yeah, it was great. Also, the cinema was giving out posters with the tickets. I took a Cap one, only because it was the current version of Thor. Short hair.

Hah, haven't noticed that post. Good tweet.

And it reminds me I'm yet to see Black Panther.

An entire nation opening its arms to world and coming together to fight for the greater good. Dreams destroyed

Fignuts 05-01-2018 05:41 PM

I was a little disappointed that they only showed the heroes disappearing and a few seconds on earth during the post credits. It's a universe spanning event, and they didn't really show the impact of it. Thinking about it however, it would be a great opening scene for the second part. Just panning around the universe, showing the devastation caused by half the sentient beings in existence being erased. It would set the stage really well.

If they don't do that however, then it's a missed opportunity, and the gravity of what happened won't be felt.

Destor 05-01-2018 05:49 PM

The audience watching people they know go poof is far more emotionally effective than strangers doing the same. Clearly avengers 4 will exist in this time frame though so im certain theyll flesh this out

Sixx 05-01-2018 05:55 PM

That whole disappearing act seemed to focus on GotG for some reason. Poor guys.

True but I do agree with Fignuts. One of the shitty things about Man of Steel was the catastrophic damage that was inflicted but they showed no deaths. Tens of thousands would have been killed but instead it was just "Cool, Sup saved the day." Which was mind blowingly bad.

Even in Ultron, half the shit was getting the civilians away from the devestation which I thought was cool. The realization of how all this chaos effects people should be acknowledged.

Lock Jaw 05-01-2018 08:21 PM

lol at Mark Ruffalo spoiling the end of the movie last July:

I dont doubt that it will be...but thematically for the sake of the film peter dying in starks arms is a much better way to sell the loss than shots of extras poofing away...now had stan lee gone poof...
