OMG GOD, SO MUCH JIZZ! SO MUCH JIZZ, MUST STOP JIZZING!

Kalyx triaD 11-29-2017 08:57 PM

Of any TV cameo the likeliest is somebody from Agents of SHIELD. It's likely their last season, they're going cosmic, and they deserve something for holding down the TV front even before the Netflix heroes took off. An action cameo from Quake and Coulson at least.

But yeah the Netflix heroes ain't happening. What I'd love to know is how they're gonna integrate Infinity War in their background, tho. Since clippings of The Battle of NY will pale compared to what's about to happen. You can (mostly) ignore the Accords but you're not gonna avoid another alien invasion with bigger stakes than Loki.

I didn't think of that. But you're right, if anyone from TV shows up it's someone from Agents. It's very unlikely, but Netflix heroes are impossible so there's that.

Fignuts 11-29-2017 09:51 PM

I would not be upset if the Defenders aren't in it.

I will be slightly miffed if some shit character from Agents of Shield is in, and the Defenders which are comprised of ACTUAL AVENGERS, are left out.

Destor 11-29-2017 09:55 PM

The design of thenuniverse has been consistent. Films flow down stream. TV is supplemental

Fignuts 11-29-2017 10:10 PM

But it's all building to one big event where they want as many heroes as possible.

They've been hinting throughout all three phases, the level of the threat that this invasion will be. Showing battles across the earth would help emphasize that. 5-10 second clip of the defnders fighting off Chitauri as part of a scene that shows other battles in a similar fashion, such as the sorcerors in Kathmandu, warriors in asgard, soldiers in Wakanda, agents of shield wherever the fuck they are. A scene that emphasizes that everyone, no matter how powerful, is fighting this invasion.

It just makes no sense to me, to create this interconnected universe that mirrors the comics, and where characters show up in each others' properties, but to have this imaginary wall where certain characters can never and will never appear on the other side is limiting, and it's fucking stupid. Yes, it's supplemental, but it absolutely does not have to be exclusively so. It can add to the greater story they are telling, just as the greater story helped form the plot of the shows.

Destor 11-29-2017 10:29 PM

Yeah but you arent really being honest about whay these shows are.its a shared universe, but theyre seperate too. We all know it. These upcoming films just confirm it. The films can change the shows but not the otherway around.

Fignuts 11-29-2017 10:35 PM

They wouldn't be changing anything. They'd be in to help illustrate a point, and because it would be cool.

Fignuts 11-29-2017 10:38 PM

There's no point in arguing, because as I've said, it doesn't really matter in the end. Movie will still be awesome.

Destor 11-29-2017 10:44 PM

As far as the film's are concerned the shows don't even exist

Lock Jaw 11-29-2017 11:13 PM

I hope the Runaways are in this!!!!

Fignuts 11-29-2017 11:23 PM

Look destor, I get what you are saying, and I'm not even disagreeing with you. My point is that it is within the realm of possibility that the good folks at Marvel Studios could change their stance on the Defenders, and figure out a way to insert the Defenders into a scene in one of the films, that would work in the confines of said film's story, and within the overall universe.

I don't think it's that crazy.

If you disagree, that's fine. I'm sorry, but I can't look at it that way. Be so pessimistic about it. I can allow myself a shred of hope that it could happen, without setting myself up for disappointment.

I'm just a man, living in the mountains. Choppin' wood, and watchin' marvel movies. I still see beauty in the world, Destor.

Destor 11-30-2017 12:21 AM

Maybe the inhumans will be in this

Fignuts 11-30-2017 12:59 AM

Now you're just being cruel.

ClockShot 11-30-2017 08:40 AM

Trailer was fantastic. Only question is have is what happened to Thanos between Guardians 1 and Infinity War?

Was the make-up or CGI guy on another job when filming was taking place? He looks silly.

Sixx 11-30-2017 08:49 AM

Hm, He just lacks the armor. Other than that it's pretty much all the same.

Damian Rey 2.0 11-30-2017 01:02 PM

Yeah he looks the same to me, except badass without the helmet. He does look way different than his first post credits scene appearance, but I think that's negat because he wasn't even casted yet.

Fignuts 11-30-2017 02:16 PM

I'm sure we'll see him with the armor again. He's appeared in the comics without it before.

Destor 11-30-2017 02:17 PM

Hate the look ftr, but Im not nerd raging or anything

Lock Jaw 11-30-2017 03:09 PM

Yeah, I want to see him in the armour more than not in the armour.

Is it the Muitiple Ballsack chins?

Helmsphere 11-30-2017 09:08 PM

SPOILER: show
So based on the trailer it looks as if Wakanda will house a Gem, with will see a front on two sides, one taking place there, while another takes place in NYC where two stones are, Wouldn't that mean, that the last gem would be The Collector's stone that would be missing, possibly leading to a battle in space?

Fignuts 12-01-2017 12:00 AM

He's supposed to have ears.

Destor 12-01-2017 12:31 AM

You usually cant see them

Destor 12-01-2017 12:31 AM

Without the cowel im just like...you need less ears

alvarado52 03-08-2018 09:44 PM

I'm sure everyone assumed, but the new Entertainment Weekly cover pretty much confirms a space battle looking at Stark's armor:

https://imagesvc.timeincapp.com/v3/m...pg&w=1100&q=85

RP 03-08-2018 11:20 PM

there are 15 other covers like that. That dont confirm a space battle.

....it looks just like the space armor in the books when he joined the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Fignuts 03-09-2018 05:29 AM

Looks kind of alien. Like maybe stark hid away some of that Chitauri tech for himself and reverse engineered it.

Sixx 03-09-2018 06:30 AM

This kinda reminds me of c-list villain Mach IV's suit.

shhhhhhhh

Sixx 03-09-2018 06:38 AM

eh?

Who cares he was a "hero", too. Started off as a villain.

Fuck him either way.

Kalyx triaD 03-09-2018 08:25 AM

That's the true Bleeding Edge armor, and Mark 50 of the MCU armor line. It morphs out of his new chest reactor and a literal Mega Buster along with the fairy wings. It's very badass and closes the gap with the wild shit in the MCU's cosmic sandbox.

War Machine's new armor looks damn cool as well with the extra red lights. Bucky's new 'Summer Soldier' thing would be better if they commited to a color pallete.

Cap's Nomad suit, basically the busted up Civil War suit, is cool except for the rolled back sleeves. Just can't ignore it. And while I don't mind Widow in something more utilitarian than the catsuit, the colors are almost an affront to her namesake. ESPECIALLY if being a Secret Avenger required her to be more stealthy than usual. Like the hair, though.

All black Thor is weird but I like the suit. Doesn't need the chainmail arms, tho. Got used to the bare arms. Gamora is boring and also rather jarring still dressed in the oddly earthling hot topic thing she had in Vol2.

Wanda and Falcon are pretty much the same.
