Met Chandler Riggs (Carl) at the con and curiously his table wasn't swamped. He's only one of the stars of a hit TV show, ya know? So he's literally tapping his table in boredom and seemed to genuinely brighten up when I walked to him, more excited to meet me than the other way around.

I didn't know how much I was allowed to say around his handlers (who at his age are more babysitters than bodyguards) but I went in there; I flat out told his character was my favorite and I look forward to him evolving (whisper) "into a badass!" - which he took great joy in hearing. I asked him to lobby for use of Michonne's sword this season. We'll see.

Maybe he was just genuinely excited to meet THE Kalyx triaD

He probably read that there's this guy who really wants him to murder everyone and everything on the show.

Tyrese is surrounded by like 30 zombies no way he is getting out of that.

I mean I guess he could due to movie magic, but realistically that's the way he's going to die.

Edit: I am wondering why they put that scene in the trailer lots of people are saying there is no way he'll die during that attack because they put it in the trailer, which kinda removes the suspense for these fans if he doesn't die. I don't know how 1 could be that frightened of a herd now that tyrese can just plow through 30 with no problem.

Looks like he was losing his fucking mind. Was all beat up and crazy jsut sitting in the back of the car. Probably will just be a scene where he plows 30 zombies in a Berzerker rage.

I can't view the video here at work but correct me if I'm wrong isn't he standing still fighting a group of 30 zombies outside of the car?

Thats what I think - Then he snaps and kills tons of Zombies to establish him as a bad ass/unstable. I think that will come through as a theme this season.

I dunno Rick is only allowed to have 1 black male friend at a time and this new guy from the preview seems to be stepping up.

There is such a scene in the comic where he's utterly surrounded.

There is no realistic way he can survive a 30 on 1 assault unscathed, he's not John Cena, for a zombie to not even scratch him in that situation is damn crazy. Of course some movie magic can happen where we see a deus ex machina happen but even if that does happen

This is a drama not an action movie. One scratch can affect you, there is no way he is getting out of there with a flawless victory.

Sadly, they don't come out here (I've only seen like 30 issues) anymore, so I just have to download and reading comics on the computer is kinda shit, but oh, well, what can you do.

Anyway, I'm kind of pumped for that scene where Tyrese goes berserker mode. One of my fav scenes from season 3 was after Lori died (it's a season 4 thread, no reason to hide spoilers) when Rick went all Commando on some walkers in the prison. He only killed a handful but it was pretty bad-ass. Would love to see a scene where Michonne goes all Super Sayian and slices through a horde of walkers. God I love video games.


Also, interestingly, there seems to be no appearance of the governor in that trailer. I'm guessing he probably fucks off pretty early in the season then.

Actually he'll not one but two episodes for himself. I don't know if 'The Adventures of the Governor' is a 2-parter or not.

Yeah, skipped right over that comic book post. That has no place within this thread and should most definitely be in a spoiler at the very least, marked as comic book spoilers.

Anyways, my money is on Glenn to be the one to die a horrible death. Mainly because they have already run the "man continues on without his spouse" angle several times in the show, but they haven't really done a "woman continues on without her spouse" angle.

That roof shit was horrible. Otherwise pretty lackluster premier but I like where I thing they are going.

Yea hope it picks up, this episode was a snoozer.

This episode wasn't bad guys come on.

All a round yeah it was fine. But the walkers being on that roof for god knows how long, only to start falling through all over, not even in the weak spot, was campy and lame. If they just popped out of a store room I would have been fine.

Yeah feel like they should've at least had it pouring with rain making the roof a bit more fragile rather than it just happening to fall the minute they're in there.

Not a bad episode anyway. Glad they've begun to build a society. Plenty of new fodder to kill off too.

I like how Rick's group seem to be rock stars to everybody else.

They took how the audience feels about Daryl and transferred it into the show

the break right after the guy gets caught under the wine shelves and the walkers fall through the ceiling, the very first commercial was for beer. lol

Yeah I was thinking that if it was so fragile one zombie would have fell through sooner (before the crew arrived) causing the other zombies to follow, but I think it was a cool scene so I'm not gonna complain.

I loved this episode and I love where it is going.

Is it just me, or did they all look pretty good considering they're Apocalypse survivors? I mean, Dary'ls hair looked all styled and cut professionally, like he has tons of expensive product in it. All the cast looked like they had too much makeup on or something, I dunno.

Anyways, it was an ok episode. Nothing that blew my socks off, but I'm interested in seeing where things go.

Loved the episode, the 'Please help me' woman in the woods really freaked me out at first. Michone slicing the cardboard cut out had me chuckling, don't really know why. The zombies falling through the shop was awesome, a real 'oh shit moment'.

Can't wait for next week.
