Great. I didn't see it. Don't really care. Put her in something compelling. That shit won't matter to mma fans.

#1-norm-fan 12-08-2017 02:45 AM

I think I remember seeing it and forgetting about it like 5 minutes later. When they bring her into the world of pro wrestling and hype her up as the greatest female fighter of all time and the person who put women's MMA on the map and is now here to dominate pro wrestling, it will mean fuck all.

Damian Rey 2.0 12-08-2017 03:38 AM

The only people who'd likely care are mma fans. I have a feeling devoted mma fans don't care much for pro wrestling.

I think wrestling fans like mma tho, and I think the general wrestling audience would welcome Ronda Rousey with open arms. You book her correctly and she'll get over no prob

I bet you Ronda takes credit for starting the real womens revolution.

She didn't tho.

If she went back to MMA now even. All she has to do is win 1 fight and she would be a draw again. She won't be fighting but thast is all it would take.

Honestly, it will depend on how she does 'in the ring' and 'cutting a promo'.

Gerard 12-08-2017 09:49 AM

If she loses in wwe will she also vanish for months at a time in the huff?

Ruien 12-08-2017 09:55 AM

Would be amazing if they made it into a storyline.

Its really not the same. Rousey doesnt wield respect among the fan base, go to any forum on mma and wath the lulz roll in. Lesnar had a fan base in wrestling that knew he was the goods. While these things on the surface look similar i think theyre very different.

My real concern is theyll book her too dominant and kill her. She has to be baby and babies get over through sympathy.

She has beem a heel w the mma fanbase well before she lost. Imo she shud be a heel in the wwe too. She is naturally dislikable

KIRA 12-08-2017 04:24 PM

This better not affect Asuka

My big thing is is witht he disgrace she left UFC hanging over her is booking her strong good for business?

Ronda Rousey is a star though. Like a real star. When she loses it's bigger news than if someone wins. I think her drawing power is connected more to who she is than just how good she is at actual fighting.

Kind of surreal to imagine her coming in. It was pretty likely that it was going to happen the moment her UFC stuff was dying down, but still really odd. Like, she's easily their biggest star, in any sense. I mean, maybe there is an argument for Brock and maybe Cena. But nah, I think it's probably her.

Mr. Nerfect 12-08-2017 08:50 PM

The biggest problem is the WWE around her. The problem with Asuka coming in is that she's this legit women's wrestler, but she has to tumble around with Dana Brooke and Alicia Fox. If they're going to put her on par with everyone else then she'll mean as much as them and not vice versa.

I totally get what you are saying, but it's the women. That's how it's a bit different, I think. A lot of them are fitness models who are still putting it together in the ring (quite obviously), so it's not as "reality-breaking" as, say, a failed MMA fighter coming in and beating up everybody because obviously MMA > wrestling.

I think this could work if they push her similarly to how they pushed Brock. Pretty much the same situation.

Damian Rey 2.0 12-15-2017 01:57 PM

And they need to use her as a special attraction the way they use Brock. There should only be a handful of girls who get to be in a match with her. She doesn't need to wrestle the Dana Brookes of the world

Emperor Smeat 12-15-2017 09:58 PM

According to TMZ, no deal between WWE and Ronda has been signed yet nor are talks anywhere close to a potential deal being made any time soon.

The reason Ronda has been spotted at the Performance Center is due to the WWE allowing to use it for private exercises and workouts.

This flies in the face of a recent Sports Illustrated report that Rousey's WWE deal was "imminent."

As previously reported on PWInsider.com, there has been communication between the two sides and Rousey, sometimes privately, has worked out at the WWE Performance Center.
