John Cena *Rumor* Possible Scoop - WrestleMania

Things I've picked up from PostWrestling and DirtySheets...

Quote:

After Cena loses tonight he will not immediately begin a program w/ Undertaker just yet.

Cena will challenge Shinsuke for his #1 contender spot at WM at FastLane (Cena is advertised for the show). After that he will begin his road to WrestleMania and begin a program with The Undertaker

mike adamle 02-25-2018 03:25 PM

Damn, was hoping for a little buildup to the Cena-Taker match.

Jordan 02-25-2018 03:26 PM

As long as Nakamaura looks strong going in against AJ I'll be happy, but it seems likely that Taker will somehow "cost" Cena his "chance" to "main event" Wrestlemania.

Sixx 02-25-2018 03:27 PM

Damn, was hoping there would be no Taker match at all.

I mean, come the fuck on. Streak is over, Taker winning wouldn't mean shit. Cena winning wouldn't mean shit either. There's nothing to gain from this.

Jordan 02-25-2018 03:28 PM

Rumor is that Taker is on DDP's Yoga and may do another 2-3 WM matches. :\

Sixx 02-25-2018 03:31 PM

Oh, for fuck's sake.

Why would you help him DDP? He wouldn't let you be happy with his wife.

Lock Jaw 02-25-2018 04:35 PM

What a scoop!

slik 02-25-2018 05:44 PM

It's not certain Taker is doing DDP Yoga b/c they have 'heat' for some reason, just 'doing yoga' in general.

Ruien 02-25-2018 05:48 PM

Want Cena to win one of the major belts and beat Flairs streak :(

slik 02-25-2018 05:49 PM

Cena winning a belt at WM and tying Flair is definitely a WM worthy storyline

He's already at 16.

Ruien 02-25-2018 05:57 PM

Ya. He will beat it with his next title. Maybe they want to save it for next year since Brock will probably be gone. It will be the huge draw. Probably lose a couple times at ppvs leading into next Mania with the storyline asking if Cena has lost it and is only a shell of himself.

Would be cool if Shinsuke had a program defending the WWE title against The Undertaker after WrestleMania if taker could stick around.

Maybe Taker is doing DDP yoga on his own without DDP's blessing/permission.

#1-norm-fan 02-25-2018 11:39 PM

As far as the rumor, it would be interesting to see if Nakamura can do the unthinkable and defeat John Cena like no man is capable of ever doing. Would be HUGE.

Jordan 02-25-2018 11:45 PM

Roman is a great Hogan style baby face if they can churn out enough heels to make it interesting.

I would surmise it's because Taker sewerfucked him re:The Invasion

mike adamle 02-26-2018 04:14 PM

I've gotta feeling they're gonna make Taker-Cena a career vs. career match after that promo by Cena after the PPV.

#1-norm-fan 02-26-2018 04:23 PM

Then if Taker loses, he can symbolically lay more clothing in the ring on his way out.

Then again when he returns next year.

slik 02-26-2018 04:34 PM

UnderWearTaker will return for WM35 then

#1-norm-fan 02-26-2018 04:35 PM

lol TakerLover randomly showing up to view this thread right now.

#1-norm-fan 02-26-2018 04:40 PM

Cena taking the title from Lesnar to break the record at Wrestlemania would have been awesome. Given their history and given the fact that Cena is way more likable than Reigns, it would be a cool moment instead of WWE just acting like it is.

mike adamle 02-26-2018 04:40 PM

I've already said it a few times, but Taker left his gloves in the ring after Mania 32. He left his gloves, jacket, and hat at Mania 33. This year he's gonna strip naked after his match.

Rammsteinmad 02-26-2018 04:54 PM

Does TakerItEasy still post here?

Droford 02-26-2018 05:38 PM

Cena going to be too busy promoting Cock Blockers to be at WM anyway

Is that going to magically make him not require an oxygen tank after 5 minutes?

Funny thing is undertaker said the same thing about hogan years back that if he was his age he probably wouldn't be doing what hogan is, he's now several years older than hogan was at the time and still seems to want to wrestle, despite his last few matches being a combination of dogshit and botches.

Emperor Smeat 02-26-2018 07:15 PM

Assuming they actually do Cena-Taker, its going to undo the rub WWE wanted for Reigns all because Vince sucks at actual long term plans and payoffs. Same for undoing the farewell moment at the end of Mania because Taker and WWE refuses to stick to it being his retirement.

The original plan was leaning towards Cena-Taker last year and Reigns-Taker this year with the idea of this year being Taker's retirement and Reigns getting another big rub for his mega stardom. Instead Vince/WWE panicked and rushed the Reigns match early but didn't follow through with the rest of the plans.

His last few matches have been pretty great. On par with his matches with HBK, Triple H, & CM Punk? No. But they weren't dogshit by any means.

How many times in how many threads are you going to post that?

rockman725 02-27-2018 03:13 AM

The more I think about it, the more I come to the possibility of another "End Of An Era" match, where the previous one referenced the Attitude Era, this one will reference the Ruthless Aggression Era.

"Dr. of Thuganomics" John Cena vs. "Dead Man Inc" Undertaker

As I stated last week, I see this more as a special attraction match rather than a storyline based match.

Almost feel that Angle should be the guest referee for this, but after seeing the end of Raw, I guess it will be him & Ronda against H's and Steph after-all.

Sixx 02-27-2018 03:16 AM

Fuck this. Taker, you got Michelle McCool at home, so why don't you stay there and fuck her?

You keep coming back, soon you won't be able to do just that.

Rammsteinmad 02-27-2018 06:09 AM

How many end-of-an-era one-last-run send offs can someone have?

Taker's goal seems to be hitting double digits.

Vastardikai 02-27-2018 07:02 AM

I would be alright with it if, and only IF, we get a crotchety Undertaker. Who is just pissed off at being summoned or called out or whatever. His whole angle being "I keep trying to retire, but you keep calling me back. Do I have to strip naked in the ring to get my point across? I am done, leave me alone."

From there, he tells Cena that he doesn't need a marquis opponent, he should BE the marquis opponent. Then rip into him for making the same mistakes as Flair and Hogan.
