It speed runs the first half of the original anime then goes on as the manga dictates. I actually kinda like the first anime better so far (I'm only 16 or so eps in the new one). But I love FMA and any opportunity for new material is good for me.

Between Netflix and HuluPlus, I've barely used my 360 for gaming at all in the last couple months. Netflix has Robotech and Mysterious Cities of Gold, Hulu with the entire Fist of the North Star. Childhood magic happening right now.

I started Death Note the other day and it really hasn't caught my attention. I want to watch FMA Brotherhood but they changed Al's voice and it really turns me off for some reason.

And I'm used to Al doing the Law of Equivalent Exchange speech for the intro instead of this generic older white guy narrator who needs to relax a little.

Once you get past old ground you get used to everything. It blows past the first anime's episodes double speed. I counted. It stuffs two to three of the first anime's episodes into one or two. By the 20s you'll get new ground - if you didn't read the manga, I guess. I didn't so it's all new for me.

"Movie Edition"

I didn't even notice they changed voice actors for Al in FMA and Brotherhood, guess I didn't really pay attention. After doing some reading, looks like they had no choice since the kid that did his voice hit puberty.

I will continue to do that cause he claims to be such a power rangers nerd. WHICH HE ISN'T!

Only anime I can remember watching long enough that did voice changing was Dragon Ball Z and that was due to the long gap of time in getting the 2nd half of the series shown on tv.

I forgot if it was due to another studio taking over the series or the contract on the original voice actors had ended during the gap and it wasn't renewed.

It's also better paced and starts off better, IMO.

The only problem I have is trying to watch it so quickly after seeing the first.
