I think it's time we all start talking about Bianca Belair.
 

I don't have some severely detailed diatribe and a powerpoint to back this up, but suffice to say that Bianca Belair is really, really, really fucking good. At first, I thought she was just a hair gimmick, but she's been working without it, and she has been very impressive. Turns out she's a natural promo, too. Tremendous upside. Sky's the limit.

They did a cool little backstory piece on her on NXT a few weeks ago, and it kinda sold me on her.

The blue lipstick is too gimmicky to me, and the hair use was interesting the first time or two I saw it, but it is already played out to me.

I know this sounds like I am down on her, but really I think she is too good to be this gimmicky.

I think you should just go with the cocky outspoken persona she has been showing in interviews lately. All the gimmicky stuff is distracting, like she is trying to play pro wrestler vs just being one.

Huge upside if she tones it down, or she can keep it all up and be a female Adam Rose.

Good for her. The hair thing seemed over when I saw it. I'd keep her in NXT for a good while though. The main roster is not really a place for shining up women.

"EST" means that she's the...err, everyhthingest? The strongEST, the toughEST, the baddEST, the whatever utmost, ya know?

The hair thing is cool, but lately she has been showing that she can work without it even being a factor at all.

As for the blue lipstick, I feel like I have seen it just one time. Part of her persona is that she is flashy, so I think even that fits. That promo package talked about how she recognized greatness in herself in high school/college/etc. sports, but was always made to quell her sensations in the name of professionalism. That's why pro wrestling is perfect for her, because she's allowed to flaunt the gifts that she's always had, and her bravado is celebrated.

I'm definitely not saying call her up to the main right now, but she's doing incredible work for the amount of time she's actually been in the business, and she's making the "EST" moniker seem like a reality. Kudos to her. She's a joy to watch.

Stop the Naomi comparisons, too. Shit's racist. Also, she's already a much better promo than Naomi.

WWE has done nothing to make people compare her to Naomi outside of not bleaching her skin. Completely different everything otherwise.

I stand by my opinion though, with her in ring work and promo skills, she is too good to be a gimmick.

Bianca is excellent

Considering she's only been wrestling for a little over 2 years, she's shown a lot of potential of becoming a big star in the WWE.

Very low expectations its going to carry over when she's ready for a callup since the main roster has been mainly the Bliss & Charlotte show with Ronda right on the wings.

I mean, almost ever wrestler has a gimmick. It's wrestling. But also, she has been stepping outside of the gimmick recently, and it's dope. She hasn't whipped anyone with her hair in what feels like months now.

You go over the top to cover up weakness, like No Way Jose. For him, he needs the music, dancing, big hair, and conga line. You wouldnt want that gimmick slapped on AJ Styles or Samoa Joe, cause why even risk limiting them with it.

I believe Bianca is far too good in the ring and on the mic for all the goofy extras.

I agree, she has the chance to really rise above the current NXT Women, but if she really wants to be a player in WWE, she needs to get to the main roster without the gimmicky stuff, or she will end up just be a comical never get pushed wrestler.

Tyler Breeze is the perfect example. He got called up with too much gimmickry, selfie stick, stream on the tron, being announced from where he was vacationing at, fur covered gear, and Vince never gave him a shot at anything else, certainly nothing serious.

Her hair thing is the only gimmick, and again, she hasn't used it in a long time. She's only worn the blue lipstick once. I'm not sure what's so gimmicky about her outside of that. The rest is just her believing that she is much better than everyone else.

First saw her in some Mae Young Classic qualifying match and felt like "she was going 2 be a star"

She's a great heel in the entrance but is turning into a really good worker. Those forearms were brutal in her match with Dakota Kai. Good strength too. Surprising.

Have you seen her deadlift chicks off the ground and press them over her head? Shit's wild. Super strong.

Just watched her match with Dakota Kai from last week. Really good. I love that she does a kind of Burning Hammer thing as her finisher. It looks awesome.

What's going on with Kairi Sane? I thought for sure that she was going to win the NXT Women's Title off Shayna, but that seems to be what they're penciling Dakota in for. Are they just giving her time to acclimate before they start using her better, or does she just not fit their plans? Am I asking questions that have no real answer?

I honestly thought I posted in this thread. Must have been a discussion about her in NXT or 1000000000000 responses.

First time I saw her, I thought Bianca has "it". Then, I found out how new she is to the biz. Then, I saw that package (side note: I remember seeing her run on one of those televised meets like the Penn Relays or somesuch. She could have taken that shit to the Olympic level.)

This gal is a freak of nature and is able to go as far as WWE is willing to push her. That, of course, is the rub. She can be groomed to lead the Divas in a few short years and be spoken of with the best ever, or they can job her out and squander all that potential by focusing on the next underwear model who can't promo or run the ropes worth a damn they want to market. Totally up to them.

I've only seen her match against Aliyah in the MYC. She seem like she was capable, maybe when the mood strikes me, I'll pay for the network and watch some more of her work.

I somehow feel like this was a shot at what I said, and if so, you might have missed the point.

Her "awkwardness" in the ring and on the mic seem more of a thing that will come with reps for both. However, even at her level of green in both these areas, she's better than some on the main roster RIGHT NOW. I'd say she's already well beyond Kelly Kelly, and she's supposedly a 'legend'.

Ironically, your Trish Stratus comparison is somewhat apt, because Trish was pretty shit when she first showed up. She went on to fall into arguments about female GOAT. Bianca is better now at this point in her WWE tenure than Trish was at this point in hers, and the girl has plenty of upside.

My Trish comparison is more about where she started vs where she ended up. Not saying "give her the crown now!!!", I'm saying she can get there if the machine gets behind her and doesn't sabotage her and/or make her a clown or a complete jobber.
