Galloway also leaving. Looks like Dixie leaving has actually made TNA worse somehow

Been rumors for a while that WWE were interested in the Hardys again, but I wonder if they'd be interested in the new wrestling in Japan if they weren't offered a good deal or anything?

The other rumours I've been hearing is that Double J wants to make TNA more traditional again, so the broken shit would be watered down anyway. At least this way it'll be in the biggest stage if they did go to WWE.

DAMN iNATOR 02-27-2017 02:17 PM

I feel like Galloway in his old "Drew McIntyre" persona probably has more potential to succeed. I hope they re-sign him and put him on SD!. He could be a breath of fresh air for the IC division there.

Also, #LOLTNA

XL 02-27-2017 02:18 PM

I agree with The Damn.

DAMN iNATOR 02-27-2017 02:21 PM

I'm with Vito...not interested in seeing the Hardys again in WWE. They had their time as a team and Jeff won the big one, but I don't want to see them be treated as a novelty act that return for a few months and disappear à la The Dudleys.

Also it's highly unlikely either would ever get a big singles push, especially in the "New Era".

Evil Vito 02-27-2017 02:24 PM

I could only accept The Broken Hardys in WWE if they're continuing the Expedition for Gold.

They still need to beat the Club, Alpha, and New Day to be the best tag team in all of time and space.

#1-norm-fan 02-27-2017 02:39 PM

Welp. It was fun while it lasted. It is time for TNA to be... DELETED!

#1-norm-fan 02-27-2017 02:42 PM

Is King Maxel still under contract though?

Evil Vito 02-27-2017 02:44 PM

If Vanguard-1 doesn't come with the Hardys, we riot.

Destor 02-27-2017 02:52 PM

Watering down their schtick is for the best

Evil Vito 02-27-2017 02:54 PM

Just give The Hardys creative control over Main Event. Let them book all kinds of wacky shit like what used to happen during NXT when it was still a main roster show. I'd actually go out of my way to watch it.

#BROKEN Hasney 02-27-2017 02:55 PM

Hell, just give them a Network show. It needs content anyway and it'll be better than Holy Foley.

#1-norm-fan 02-27-2017 02:56 PM

Only if creepy Johnny Curtis returns.

#BROKEN Hasney 02-27-2017 03:02 PM

The backend business stuff in TNA appears to be much, much worse than when Dixies was there. Fuck me.

Hopefully so. Can't imagine why WWE wouldn't be interested if they are going there. She's played her character great and is hot as hell.

Destor 02-27-2017 03:12 PM

Give him creative? Why would they do that? Rediculous to even ask.

#BROKEN Hasney 02-27-2017 03:13 PM

Well he's done the best creative that TNA have had in years, so it's well worth asking, especially when there are other interested parties that will probably offer more money, sounds like it was the first step in the negotiation. Easy to just say no as I wouldn't want to give that to anyone in my company either, then just keep negotiating

The response and everything after that is the fucking crazy part.

Destor 02-27-2017 03:18 PM

Looks like both sides made flat out unreasonable demands

#BROKEN Hasney 02-27-2017 03:19 PM

Nope, not really. There is no reason not to ask for it. Sounds like TNA are just worse without Dixie if that were even possible. Negotiation continued after being told no, so it couldn't have been that bad. They just acted like a cunt which set Jeff off and Matt was still negotiating even after that and got sent a stupid deal.

Agreed. Even though they didn't agree, he would've been more crazy than his on-screen TNA persona NOT to at least ask. It seems to me that TNA were being the outlandish, unreasonable, childish and downright GREEDY ones. I mean, 10% of his profits from working with other promotions?! That's some Vince Russo logic there.

Emperor Smeat 02-27-2017 05:26 PM

Could see if this was a purely financial move considering TNA's new owners already stated they wanted to bring costs down but TNA management still being just as bad with new owners is not a good sign.

Figured out of all the potential free agents, the Hardys had the best chance of staying. Matt liked the creative freedom given and Jeff liked the less stressful traveling schedule.

Seems really dumb considering the Broken stuff got TNA a lot of exposure last year. Not their fault the rest of TNA couldn't carry the load so they couldn't really build off of it.

Black Widow 02-27-2017 05:45 PM

Well, tell them to go to WWE then”

Guy is a complete moron lol, The only about TNA I'm aware of at the moment.

A.J.K 02-27-2017 05:59 PM

Senior Benjamin, Vanguard 1 for tag champs. No wait, Senior Benjamin as GM.

Senior Benjamin and the Dilapidated Boat too.

Lock Jaw 02-27-2017 06:37 PM

If they go to the WWE, I guarantee pretty much the only thing that stays is Matt Hardy saying "DELETE". The rest would be gone.

For that reason I see them staying on the indies or Japan for awhile, just so they can keep doing their shtick a bit longer.

Emperor Smeat 02-27-2017 08:12 PM

Looks like Matt Hardy might not be able to bring over the Broken gimmick to the WWE or any new company he signs with.

Quote:

If Broken Matt wants to continue using that name after leaving Impact Wrestling, he may have a fight on his hands — because right now there’s confusion over who owns the gimmick.

Sources close to Matt tell us his current deal gives Impact the ability to profit off of anything already filmed having to do with ANY gimmick he used throughout the course of his contract … but, once that’s over, he retains ownership of his name and characters.

However, our Impact Wrestling sources tell us that’s not the case at all. They claim the current deal specifically states that their company owns all IP creations.

As we previously reported, Matt and Jeff do not plan to re-sign with the company because they felt dissed during contract negotiations.

As for a possible non-compete clause, we’re told The Hardy Boyz don’t have one. Which means they could potentially show up in another company as soon as next week.

#1-norm-fan 02-27-2017 08:29 PM

"What is 'Busted' Matt Hardy and Brother Zero doing on Smackdown Live!?"

#1-norm-fan 02-27-2017 08:32 PM

EXPUNGE! EXPUNGE! EXPUNGE!

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-27-2017 08:37 PM

IRRELEVANT!

I'd be down for that. Really don't want to see them get the same treatment The Dudleys got.

Emperor Smeat 02-27-2017 10:47 PM

Looks like a lot more wrestlers could end up bolting when their deals are done. PWI stating the 10% cut TNA wanted from the Hardys for non-TNA events is going to become the standard for all new contracts.

Same for royalty payments getting slashed and paychecks getting tweaked to now be per date instead of per show. Means if TNA/Impact decides to do a bunch of tapings in a day, they only have to pay the talent once and not per episode they appeared in for those tapings.

A.J.K 02-27-2017 11:52 PM

I know the Hardyz would be great on smackdown, however Raw would benefit greatly having The Broken Hardy Boyz on the Raw Tag Scene, honestly and have the Revival be called over to Raw.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-28-2017 01:56 PM

So, this is why Lita got fired?

It really sucks to hear Galloway is leaving TNA as well, guy was amazing and has been amazing since his debut. On the plus side.... it does leave room for other large, muscular guys with long black hair to be added to the TNA roster :shifty:

He's already working for TNA. He was telling me before the match that they're using him for two days of filming coming up

Lock Jaw 02-28-2017 06:18 PM

Did you get to beat up Hornswoggle? PrettyCool

Of course, if you were helping him, then PrettyLame
