Not shocked that Akuma is in as a guest character, but they made him canon? Fucking hell. Kinda pissed off he's in this and not Street Fighter for at least a year though.

How... interesting. I imagine this is some kind of prelude to Tekken x Street Fighter. And moreover, perhaps an actual merging of the universes for good.

More likely they decided to use the one completed asset they had in Tekken x Street Fighter before dumping the entire project.

Actually the principle gameplay is done and Harada's holding off until after SFV and T7 drops. But you may be correct he's a good sign of his TxSF asset if not exactly that.

Gamespot had a story up that said Tekken 7 was PS4 exclusive, but it was taken down. Not sure if they jumped the gun or was a mistake.

Also, super happy that emo anime teen cliche Jin is taking a back seat to the much cooler and badass Heihachi and Kazuya. He'll probably end up winning though because loljinwins.

Speaking of mama, Kasumi looks rad as fuck. Picking her up, for sure. Other new characters look kinda terrible tho. Josie and Katarina look like background npcs

Josie is a Bruce stand-in and Kat kinda takes the piss as far as moveset goes.

Would trade them both for Lei.

Yeah. Wish they would bring back Kunimitsu, especially after her killer redesign. They knocked it out of the park witn her and Jun.

So going into this, Kazumi is the only new character I was looking forward to, and boy howdy did she deliver. Really fun character. That said, first impressions of the others are better than I thought. None of them grab me like Kazumi, I might try a couple out now, as they feel pretty good.

Regardless, it's LITERAL tiger uppercuts all day, son.

Oh yeah, somehow forgot Akuma. He's super fun and gives me hope for TxSF.

Eliza seems to be built off Akuma's SF blend. I guess they really are test beds for TxSF.

I thought Jinpachi was the cheapest "Final Boss" I had ever faced in a Tekken game.

How foolishly naive I was. (If you played the "Special Match," You'll know what I mean.)

Azazel was the worst for me.

Customization kinda sucks. A couple more unique outfits per character, but lost a ton of hair options, and the whole decal system is gone, which is a huge blow.

They're patching it in gradually and I think for free. There's a Kenny Omega X Bryan Fury thing already announced.

Tekken customization was always kinda weak compared to SoulCalibur, which is strange since they are basically sister titles. All the tshirts are kinda eh (and would have been rendered moot with a decal feature), and the actual clothing options being mainly upper body/lower body is poor. And yeah the severely cut down hair options is baffling. 'You can get jenga on your head, tho'. Ugh.

Also most of the universal clothing options ill fit the characters (oversized, puffy shirts and pants) and look jarring compared to the 1 or 2 extra sets of unique clothing for characters (well fit, natural looking). Again SoulCalibur had universal pieces and they all fit well on the character models no matter the body type. In fact I do not know why they don't emulate exactly how it works in SoulCalibur.

Yeah, been considering picking up Lucky Chloe. She's got some stuff.

She's one of the few dance-fighting type characters that really does look like she's dancing your ass to death. And some of her follow-ups are actually based on rhythmic timing.
