What is your favorite Tony Hawk game of all time?
I have Pro Skater 4. I kinda wish i got 3 for the unlocks. I remember playing the first Underground and loved it. I've been playing Pro Skater 4 for a few days and love everything about it. Love the sound track. I feel like we need a unreal amazing Tony Hawk to come out on PS4 or Switch.
But ya, Pro Skater 4 is amazing. I just love this game so much. |
None. They were all garbage.

What one had the airport level? 2? That one.
1 was so amazing too. |
not sure.. i'll let you know if it's 4.
|
I liked 3 the best, of it's just the one I played the most.
Played 1 alot when it first came out. I didn't really play 4 too much, and they started getting stupid when they went to Underground. Project 8 was decent, or maybe that was just me marking out to Jason Lee |
I also liked American Wasteland as well.
|
Probably THPS 2 although can't remember if I played any other game from the series besides THPS 4.

2X was that best. Man, having 2 with online support and 4 player split screen on OG Xbox was crazy.
Had every level from 1 and 2 in it along with 5 new levels. |
Only one I ever played was Underground. So that one, I guess.
Lots of people seem to rave about skate 3. What's so great about it? |
The Underground sub-series. World really came alive in those. American Wasteland was really good, too, though I'd consider it a THUG installment. As far as what made me a hardcore fan, Hawk 2. I love part one but I truly grasp the concept with the sequel.
I was a huge fanboy of the series right up until Project 8, a fucking disaster. |
Number 2, I thought the soundtrack was sick as well.
|
1.
|
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on Nintendo 64.
|
The first one.
Though I did love that Spiderman was in the second one. |
Knew a guy in college who played these games all the time. He was very fat.

Seriously, the giant shit that I'm about to take on that game does not change the fact that it was both revolutionary and fun in its day. I played the absolute hell out of this game when it came out. However, the graphics have not aged well, the collision detection is a fucking disaster, and the controls are abysmal. I have no idea whatsoever how I was ever as good at the game as I used to be. I loved pumping out points at Roswell or grinding everything possible to zip through the Mall and touch as little floor as possible since manuals weren't a thing yet... and yet the last time I played the OG disc, I could barely make it past the school. The "remaster" on 360 was better, but not much. I appreciated what they tried to do, but the emphasis was on 'try'. Still felt like I was attempting to move a cinder block across a field with akimbo broomsticks, and there were songs missing from the soundtrack. I have to go with 3... by the time it got to 3, everything felt right, and still does. |

It's awful. Shitty physics and a complete botched mess from the team that went onto make 5. I still play THPS1 on my DC as my XBox OG has started crapping out. It's still damn playable. |

2) Agree to disagree. Feels like a clumsy mess, and when I said "better", I meant the graphics were updated and SOME of the graphical hiccups from the PS1 iteration have been ironed out. It still plays like ass, hitting walls/obstacles a foot away while missing rails you land dead center on is still a thing and again, some of the songs have been omitted, so even a bit of the nostalgia pop goes away. |
THPS3 was one of the first games I played when I got a PS2. Fucking loved that game. Have most of the soundtrack on my phone to this day.

I enjoyed all of them through American Wasteland.
Probably played THPS2 the most though. I'm still trying to find a balance. |

I loved the soundtrack on it. Was the game I played the most until I bought Metal Gear Solid 2 a few weeks later. |

I lost a lot of shit when I moved back to Ohio. I'm still waiting for someone to get off their ass and re-release Chu Chu Rocket as an Arcade title. That's a game that kept my DC warm. |
T.H.U.G. - Tony Hawk's Underground.
So classic. One of my favorite games of all-time. |
Cuz this is what its like when world"s collide
