Gargano and Almas had a good match on the undercard of one of the past few Takeovers

they are giving out some year-end awards.

Aleister Black won Male Superstar of the Year and Breakout Star of the year. I don't know if any were given before I turned it on.

Asuka wins Female Superstar of the Year. Says no one in the Royal Rumble is ready for Asuka.

Tyler Bate vs Pete Dunn gets Match of the Year. Tyler Bate accepts the award while looking like a "right wanker".

Forgot about Mauro Ranallo again. Hope he has continued to improve and isn't too unbearable.

Cool video package for the women's match. Looks like it has been a good angle. Mauro almost ruined the whole thing by yelling "THE SUBMISSION MAGICIAN", though.

Is he back? I think I remember him coming back but haven't watched nxt in a long long time so I obviously forgot. May or may not watch this. Depends how much they hook me. Anywho, Joe is doing a nice enough job on the panel.

Mauro came back several months ago. He definitely called the last Takeover. Not sure about the one before that. I don't think he was there yet.

Yeah I was thinking Ciampa costs Gargano the match tonight. Almas can feud with Black or someone else after this. Gargano/Ciampa is enough of a blood feud to not need the belt.

Zelina Vega was legit the best thing to happen to Almas in NXT. Sort of like how Jason Jordan was seriously floundering before getting paired with Gable, same can be said of Almas before Vega became his manager.

Probably something like Cesaro where they are the best as a tag team but not going to go any higher than a reign or two as IC/US champ. The real prize out of the group is Cole since Triple H spent several years trying to get him.

Shame Velveteen Dream gimmick has almost no chance of working on the main roster based on WWE's booking and NXT's low rate of success with callups.

I remember the day after Patrick Clark got voted out of Tough Enough, WWE posted a video of Booker, Lita, and Billy Gunn basically saying "the fans fucked up on this one, Patrick is definitely the best one here".

Dream and Kairai Sane have really great looking diving elbow drops.

Felt like in general he didn't have very good chemistry with Ohno. Lot of awkward parts and mess-ups

He'll be called up as a fashion stylist or something dumb like that, in spite of the fact he has the best character work since NXT began really.

Iguess itd be gimmick infringement to call that a dreamer driver

Probably needs to be like the Drifter in order to have a chance to make it successful. Let his persona build gradually instead of forcing it at the start like with other NXT callups who struggled after their debuts.

Ohno's at his biggest ever and his work is finally beginning to suffer. He's lost about three steps of pace

Given how long it took her to capture the belt, it feels like it'd be too early to take the belt off of Ember. But I'd be really surprised if Baszler didn't go over here. The money might be more in the chase for Ember, anyway.

Good story in that match, but not much of a match.

I see big potential in Shayna Baszler, though. Her style combined with her not being attractive at all leads to a good combo for a heel.

I hope she wins the title and has a reign of terror that is stopped by an innocent Bayley-type like Dakota Kai.

Aleister Black is going to be another gimmick that has little chance of succeeding on the main roster. Knowing the WWE, they'd make him into just a Satanist character instead of it playing some inspiration for the character.
