Are they going to give her the full push or not? They are clearly building her up. She's plowing through the mid carders as far a women are concerned. Is she going to take the strap or not? I think she should. I love her. What do you all think?

I think Smackdown side is crowded. They seem to really really want the heel as champ with the babyface chasing. I think Asuka will be getting the title before Becky.

By mania time Charlotte will have it back or be getting it.

They are pushing her pretty hard but I don't think she's more than an upper mid card. I never understood the amount of love she gets on wrestling message boards. She is good but not great.

I was watching her match on Smackdown and I was very underwhelmed by her work. She's been solid for me in the past but at Smackdown all I saw was half speed movements with moves that were totally weak.

Exactly, she telegraphs a lot and moves quite slow. She doesn’t seem to be a pure athlete.

Yeah, I hope this is a real push that leads to her finally getting another run with the belt instead of just a push to establish her as the next unsuccessful challenger for the belt until Charlotte gets it back.

Also, I know there is newz about Dunn hating her voice, but let her cut some good promos please. She has the ability, give her the time.

Becky Lynch has the highest "win" percentage of any performer on the Smackdown roster.

Wouldn't be surprised if she's just simply taking over what was originally meant for Charlotte but Smackdown does need a new credible challenger once the Asuka-Carmella feud is over.

They should put a giant blue dot over her face

I love Becky, but sometimes her work as a babyface is too routine for me. But she always gets a nice reaction, which is good for live audiences. I'm glad she's getting a push. I imagine it's so that she can face Carmella at SummerSlam since they won't mind her getting upstaged by Ronda Rousey.

That's something that has bothered me forever - you get somebody talented, and then *somebody* nitpicks, but the nitpicker is an "important" person, so a whole career can be derailed because of one asshat. Meanwhile, someone else can be given the world because that same person (or someone else in the upper echelon) thinks that person has something that they clearly don't.

It's one thing to give a general "this is a good lookin' kid" or "you carry yourself like a natural heel", but it's something else to say "I don't like her voice in particular" or "his face bothers me".

I could be a super-talented motherfucker, general perception of a "good look" in the face, and ultra charismatic promo, and well liked by folks backstage... but if ONE person doesn't like that I have a highly discernable scar across my nose, and that person is super important, that can torpedo any chance I have of getting anywhere.

Imagine that shit elsewhere? Like, David Bowie getting buried because one record executive didn't like that "eye thing". "Michael Jordan? Nah, the bald head looks freaky. Bench him." "Did you hear that Tyson kid open his mouth? He sounds like a pussy with a lisp. No more fights for him, it bothers me!"

Becky is probably best uploading YouTube videos that do her girl-next-door charm good, as opposed to actual promos all the time.

I've never seen a match of hers anywhere near as good as her next work. I don't think the main roster suits her style.

But she's still one of the most over women on the roster, so they should probably push her.

I really liked her match with Sasha at Unstoppable, but I know exactly what you mean. Her main roster style is very much click and point generic babyface rhythms. But she's got that connection to crowds. Maybe turning her heel would play off that, but I can just see that making her cooler/more attractive, so people will cheer her more.

I'm past the point of being angry about her position. I think she's found a nice place where she can be plugged in and out of things as they wish. By WWE standards, she's a success story. For some reason, I keep thinking of Scotty 2 Hotty. She's like the female version of that. People are genuinely happy to see her, but she's not going to make a huge difference.

I think her best bet is when Shayna Baszler comes up, because then you can run Charlotte & Becky vs. Ronda & Shayna and have Shayna bully Becky believably, and they could have a relatively compelling little thing between seconds.
