The Booins played possum all series, deliberately held back for most of Game 7, then raped the Leafs up the ass late, shooting them in the head in OT. The Booins had the Leafs puzzle solved already, and MLSE got fucked out of millions of dollars, with CBC losing a HUGE amount of money on ad revenue, that they couldn't get back. The Leafs are a short-sighted club, that played their hand far too open. And paid the ultimate price for it. |
Lol that might be the most ridiculous thing I've read. So the Bruins purposely in the NHL playoffs let the series go to 7 games? Actually, the Leafs solved the Bruins quite well and made them change their passing lanes, as well as not get into a pissing match with a much bigger team.
Don't bother.
Leafs destroy the Bruins. Beat them within an inch of their lives.
possum
Oilers dump Dubnyk, pick up Scrivens, but still don't address the issues on defence. This will show how good Scrivens actually is, or how good LA's blue line is. :p
Oilers are a friggen mess.
The Panthers are actually cool but I feel like Florida shouldn't have sports teams. Especially hockey...

Lol fucking linebrawl to start the Flames/Canucks game. Was gonna go to bed but decided to stay up for a bit in case Tom Sestito and Brian McGrattan fought, well they did, plus 4 other fights at the same time. Fucking awesome.
that was amazing.
Tortarella is also retarded and lucky that McGratten didn't drop him. |
McGrats is a scary fucking dude.

Lol Bob Hartley with the " my skill guys be struggling so I started my goons " excuse. Lol come on Bob.
That would be a great hockey meme. A pic of Hartley watching the Flames fight the Canucks that says " my skillz be lacking so I started my goons "

What's going on in that gif ?
Phaneuf blew the play that allowed the goal, and his wife gets the stinkeye from the goalies girlfriend
Tortarella suspended 15 days (6 games)
Hartley fined $25,000 |
hahahahaha

Had to turn down a ticket to Saturday's Sharks game this week because I told someone else a couple weeks ago who also offered me a ticket that I couldn't make it to the same game and I'd feel weird if I had gone with someone else even though I can make it now. I love run-on sentences.
Call me George fucking Costanza. I care too much. |
Sharks extend both Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton contracts by an extra 3 years.

I however thought that our best chance was in 2011. We were knocked out by Vancouver on a fluke goal that hit the corner of the glass and everyone thought it went out of play. Looking good this season, we're second in the Pacific Division and we don't have many of our players that can make a huge impact. Pavelski is also the league's second leading scorer right now. Just wait until the other players return: Hertl Couture Burish Torres Hannan |
The Sharks are just an odd team. Really think they could use more grit, especially up front.

The Islanders have just been fucked.
Islanders need to just stay the course. Sooooo much young talent on defence. Id be kicking the tires on an upgrade in net. Christ, make Toronto an offer for Reimer.
Judging by the way Toronto players always seem to get better after being traded, Reimer will win the Vezina 5 years running if he gets dealt.
And just like that, Thornton and Marleau get their three year extensions and then score all three of the Sharks' goals tonight in a 3-2 victory.

Yeah, Isles do need to upgrade at goal. I do like Poulin but I don't think he can really be "the guy" to get them deep into the playoffs next time they make it.

The ice is shit at the Rangers/Devils game apparently

you guys know who isn't a lesser goalie? Semyon Varlamov!

Blackhawks are playing like shit.

Huge game tonight, LA Kings @ San Jose. BOOM.
Nvm, Scrivens is gonna grab those Vezinas instead.
That was a heck of a game tonight. Fuck that save was amazing.

Holy Crap... |
Yeah, that Letang news is wild, man! I couldn't believe it. All my favorite players are retired, but Letang serves as my favorite new generation player.
Just serves as another reminder in the game of life that anything can happen to anyone at any time. |
yeah that's pretty insane, guess he didn't even know until a couple days after
That's still so crazy to me. Lucky that he's ok.
Sabres scratched Miller and Ott for tonights game.
INTERESTING.... |
update:
Ryan Miller & Steve Ott traded to St. Louis for Halak, Chris Stewart, and William Carrier |
could someone trade Ryan Miller to Washington for Mike Green and Jason Chimera...
Quote:
EDIT: Lol, that's what I get for reading page 14 and not realizing that there was more on page 15. :p |
shame shame on you!!!! haha
Also Buffalo received a 1st round in 2015 and a 3rd round in 2016
That's great return for two ufas.
Gonna miss miller and otter. Hope stl wins the cup. But they got good pieces in return. Interested to see who else goes. |
Stewart is a friggen beast. He'll have a ball in that division.
he's a beast the three games out of the year he decides to play
He's finally in a top notch organization
If miller resigns with the blues or they reach the conference finals that 3rd becomes a first this year.
Sweeter pot. Nice. |
I had the Blues going to the cup finals at the start of the year and this just cements my claim.
I heard rumors of Ryan Kesler to Pittsburgh.........with Maanta being a part of a package that comes the Canucks way. I think that would be a pretty good deal.
If St. Louis is committed to bringing in more vets from Team USA, I wouldn't mind seeing Kesler go to St.Louis with Jayden Schwartz coming the Canucks' way as part of a package. |
I just read that the Flyers are interested in Kesler, might try for him before the deadline
If all shakes out the sabres will have at least 5 firsts the next 2 years and 5 2nds
On top of the 5 2nds and 4 firsts they have drafted the last 2 years. It sucks to be this low but they are stacking the deck. Girgensons is a stud. I'm not ready to give up on grigorenko but with the way he's been fucked around and his challenge to get out of juniors I don't know what we have in him. Zadorov and ristolainen are going to be Norris contenders. |
I'm hoping we send matt moulson to la for a first. Then flip ehrhoff to a team like the oilers for a prospect and a 2nd. That still leaves them with halak and Stewart they can flip. I'm all about acquiring picks and prospects.
Then we can go into the draft and get the 1st pick and have enough assets to make a run at a few quality players via trade. A la bobby Ryan. |

THIS JUST IN: Sabres president of hockey operations Pat LaFontaine resigns, one day after Buffalo traded goalie Ryan Miller to Blues.
— SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) March 1, 2014

The scenery for this game tonight will be amazing. Suppose to be almost Blizzard like.
Also. Buffalo, you're drunk right now and a hot ass mess. Good Lord. |
Wow! That LaFontaine resignation is interesting. It was his GM who pulled the trigger on the Miller deal, so he can't be upset about that, could he? Maybe the owner forced the trade and Pat didn't agree?
Maybe Pat wanted to keep Nolan as coach, but GM or owner don't? Miller could always resign with Buffalo after the season, so why quit over that? |
Crazy saying this I'm sure after the score was 5-1 but Fleury was by far the best Pen tonight. Blackhawks could have won that game 10-0. The Odd Man Rushes I lost count of. Kesler would be a nice addition but I think need to look real hard at some Defense men esp with Paul Martin being injured and who knows when Letang will be back and Orpik just looks lost without Martin with him.

Panthers traded for Roberto Luongo

Markstrom for years had been considered the top goaltender prospect in the world, but has yet to develop. Such a weird situation.
oh really? Like I said, no clue, looks like that yet to develop is a probably not going to develop
A good amount of trades today.
Quote:
i just checked out his stats. He's a tall fucker! 6'6"
I had Markstrom in TPWW fantasy hockey until he was sent down the AHL. He cost me a few matchups with his 800 save%. Considering the support that Lou was getting from the Canucks defense, I can't see Markstrom doing much better (at least at the beginning of his time in Vancouver).
I don't get this trade at all. Bring a guy back who shit all over your club after leaving last time?
Martin Brodeur hinted he'd like to be traded if the Devils are able to find another team willing to take him.
Rangers-Lightning rumored to be discussing a trade involving the Rangers getting Martin St. Louis as the basis of the deal. The Rangers first choice was Ryan Kessler but he refused to wave his no-trade clause. |
St.Louis for Callahan a 2015 first and 2014 2nd, and a condtional first if the Rangers reach the conference finals.
Ohhhhh Tampa, not good. |
Gertner, Boyes is staying in Florida.

Islanders trade Andrew MacDonald for Matt Mangene and two draft picks from Philadelphia.
Guess the islanders are back to rebuilding...again |
Vanek to Montreal

Makes the decision to give up two higher draft picks for Vanek seem even more terrible now.
What a ridiculous deadline.

David Legwand for Calle Jarnkrok is stupid. Jarnkrok is their top prospect. Fuck knows what the hell the Islanders are doing The Luongo trade was ridiculous as wad the St.Louis deal. |
I love that Rusty Klesla was like "yeah I'm just not going to Buffalo"
Not really. He's hurt and is going home. He retired from the nhl. He also never reported to dc.
