If the Niners watch the Giants' game film from this week they'll realize the Giants are very poor in the area of containing the QB running game.

I swear Seattle ran the same play like 6 or 7 times yesterday. Line up all the receivers to one side of the field, Giants move all of their defenders to that side, Wilson rolls out to the other direction and picks up a 10 yard gain with minimal effort.

classic Madden move

Evil Vito 11-10-2014 10:38 AM

That's what it felt like. :( And not once could they bother to leave a LB or something covering the empty side just in case.

Ruien 11-10-2014 10:55 AM

RDD, at least you will catch Arizona without Palmer.

road doggy dogg 11-10-2014 11:06 AM

Fuck yeah, maybe we will avoid going 0-2 over the next two weeks after all. Possible. Doubtful but possible. Maybe someone can remind Drew Stanton of his roots and have him sabotage their gameplan from the inside.

Clerk 11-10-2014 11:17 AM

Remember when RDD and afew others were skeptical of Bruce Arians? Now look at yall.

Ruien 11-10-2014 11:47 AM

I think you will get 1 win at least. Lions are capable of beating New England too. I feel a 1-1 is likely rather than a 0-2 or 2-0. Detroit will shit the bed one game and rock the other.

Ruien 11-10-2014 11:48 AM

Lions also play the Bears twice still. Green Bay already got those 2 automatic wins.

Just super glad the Packers game was early in the season while they were shit and not in a groove yet. Unfortunately it wasn't at Lambeau. Here's hoping the week 17 matchup will have little playoff implications for the Pack, a place the Lions have traditionally struggled ( :wavesad: Jason Hanson)

Looking at the remaining schedule, sitting at 7-2 now it should not be a stretch to cautiously expect a 10 or 11-win season. Of course, the past couple seasons have shown that it's never a guarantee that the Lions won't spiral out of control and lose 6 or the final 7 games, so nothing will shock me at this point.

Innovator 11-10-2014 12:10 PM

If Megatron and Stafford stay healthy, 11-5/12-4 should be reasonable

Nark Order 11-10-2014 12:54 PM

Drew Stanton is not a bad backup at all.

DaveWadding 11-10-2014 01:27 PM

Drew Stanton is not a good starter at all.

Evil Vito 11-10-2014 01:35 PM

I think Arizona will be fine. They have plenty of weapons. And when in doubt, just air it out to John Brown.

Ruien 11-10-2014 01:40 PM

They will be fine for the regular season. Don't think they can move in the playoffs without Palmer.

The new guys they picked up were OK yesterday after early struggles. I think they'll find success vs Bree's with pressure on him.

Anyway..all 4 teams are 2 games over .500 in the AFC north and its the first time that'd happened at any point in a season since 1935.

screech 11-10-2014 02:38 PM

I know the guys up front will bring THE HEAT, but it's not like Brees will be on his back all day. Hope the d-line doesn't get PANCAKED

ClockShot 11-10-2014 03:47 PM

So, uh, about that new contract the Cardinals gave Palmer?

For while there may not have been any recourse to stopping the upstart, nothing-to-lose Jets on Sunday, with at least a little bit of a heads up, they just might have been able to prevent the fateful sequence of events Saturday night that foretold the doom on the horizon. Instead, they were ambushed by Justin Bieber at their team chapel service at their Jersey City hotel Saturday night, becoming the latest sports entity to fall prey to The Curse Of The Biebs, an ailment that threatens to undercut the second half of their season. Shaking this won't be easy.

Of course, I jest (somewhat; this kid has been proven to be a fairly consistent jinx -- he's seemingly done it to the Blackhawks, Heat and Spain's World Cup team), but then how else to explain the unexplainable sequence of events at The Meadowlands on Sunday afternoon

#1-norm-fan 11-10-2014 04:42 PM

I can explain it. The Steelers had two straight home games where they raped the Colts and Ravens and made people think they were really good. In reality, they weren't very good before those two games though and them coming back down to earth and being upset on the road by a team desperate for a win shouldn't have been that surprising.

Gotta feel bad for Palmer. He has had continually awful luck with injuries (severity, timing) and this is just crippling. Possibly career-ending, considering his age and past injuries.

The contract itself isn't AWFUL considering they're only on the hook for next year. Could have been a lot worse, all things considered. Obviously not ideal though...

So like the Giants and the Chargers with their mini-win streaks weeks ago.

Broncos brought in Richie Incognito for a workout and are considering signing him to a deal.

No, just no. This has bad idea, bad news, and bad press written all over it.

road doggy dogg 11-11-2014 04:27 PM

OH please fucking god I hope they do. MIA @ DEN week 12.

road doggy dogg 11-11-2014 04:31 PM

But in all seriousness, he's an above-average lineman (especially in the run game, which Denver could certainly use help with) and when guys like Greg Hardy and Vick are playing in the league, Incognito's indiscretions seem tame by comparison. Unless there's more to the story than I remember, I recall Martin being kind of a headcase and a lot of the stuff I've read that Incognito said/did wasn't even that bad.

Droford 11-13-2014 09:13 PM

I laugh like a 7 year old when Nantz or Simms has to say Boobie

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-13-2014 10:21 PM

Alright Tannehill. Using him as QB2 in a 2 QB league.

Buffalo Vs. Miami. The answer to the "No Blowout" question.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-13-2014 11:25 PM

Buffalo's winning record is no more.

road doggy dogg 11-13-2014 11:42 PM

I forget who I took in the office pool this week... I think Miami but who the hell knows

Nark Order 11-16-2014 12:59 PM

The 9ers offense needs to find itself this week or playoffs aren't a possibility. Alex beating the Seahawks would help us out.

We'll see if the Browns are actual contenders soon as well. Hope Gordon destroys everybody.

Innovator 11-16-2014 01:04 PM

Well the niners are playing the right team to get the offense groove back

Nark Order 11-16-2014 01:12 PM

It's always something. Ugh. Gore fumble.

Evil Vito 11-16-2014 01:17 PM

Giants with an opening drive TD! The streak...is over!
