She got the F out early. It was years before I could type/write WWE.

TNA have their PPV on today. Here is the card:

* Ethan Carter III (c) vs. Drew Galloway vs. Matt Hardy in a Three-Way Dance for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship with Jeff Hardy as the Special Guest Referee, looking to follow in Earl Hebner's steps

* Battle of the Bobby's: Bobby Roode (c) vs. Bobby Lashley for the TNA

* Kurt Angle vs. Eric Young in Kurt Angle's last TNA match

* Gail Kim (c) vs. Awesome Kong for the TNA Women's Knockout Championship in a "We had this right eight years ago" match

* The Wolves (c) vs. Brian Meyers & Trevor Lee in a rematch of the rematch for the TNA World Tag Team Championship

* Tigre Uno vs. Manik vs. DJ Z vs. Andrew Everett in a Ultimate-X Match for the TNA X-Division Championship -- if Andrew Everett wins, he presumably gets a TNA contract

* Abyss vs. Aiden O'Shea (Jay Bradley) vs. Chris Melendez (one-legged guy) vs. Eli Drake (a former NXT guy that never got onto television) vs. Jessie Godderz (from Big Brother fame) vs. Mahabali Shera (who does the worst dancing to try and get over) vs. Ken Anderson vs. Robbie E. (Robbie E.) vs. Tyrus (Brodus Clay) in a Gauntlet Match for a future shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship

By that logic, Raw isn't successful because it's not Monday Night Football. Monday Night Football is far superior to everything else.

If you aren't #1, you can't be successful, right?

See, I just look at facts.

Fact is lots of companies have tried to build up in the wake of the demise of WCW, but nobody can do it.

WWE is too good quite frankly. You will always have a small minority of people who will be interested in seeing something non WWE, but thats not nearly enough people to make a profitable wrestling company. If someone had money to spend on a wrestling ticket, why would they spend it on some upstart when they could spend it on WWE? There's just no logic to it.

GD 10-05-2015 12:16 AM

I am very attracted to NXT's Emma.

Other wrestling companies are profitable though. Many indy promotions make plenty of money. Just because you're not becoming a billionaire doesn't mean you're not making a profit. Stop being daft.

Cynick's just looking at the facts. WWE makes lots of money from the brand they've built. Any other wrestling company who makes money through actually putting a decent product forward because they can't rest on their laurels is not successful because they aren't making the same amount of money as WWE. All success is measured by WWE. But when Vince says "We're not competing with wrestling, we're competing with everything else on TV" and they're WAY behind the competition, we must ignore that and call it a success despite them not even being close to competing because... LOGIC!

... I'm stealing Noid's gimmick now.

Also, adding to Seth thinking he is bigger than he really is, he collectively dubs them the 4 Sethmen.

DAMN iNATOR 10-05-2015 01:03 PM

So since I didn't want to drag it into an argument thread...this proves that the occasional 45 or so minute long match, no matter what promotion, when done right, can be epic.

You think it's smart for guys to post crap like that on Twitter?

Do you think Austin would have done that in late 96? Obviously not on Twitter. But say posing in WWF magazine?

Is a small thing, but shows some guys don't get what it takes to be a headliner. It's one thing if he's already established, but given his spot, it's like he enjoys being opening card match on RAW.

On Mondays you have to look at network shows as well. Big Bang Theory, Voice, and Dancing with the Stars, are all on Mondays.

You're not expecting them to beat shows on network TV are you? Yes they compete with them for eyeballs, but it's unfair to hold them against those shows in terms of total viewers.

Tammy 10-05-2015 05:17 PM

Who wants to talk during Monday Night RAW? Give me a call at (914) 237-2791 to discuss Bailey and the other WWE Divas.

Damian Rey 10-05-2015 05:39 PM

When WWE themselves claims they're "the longest running weekly episodic television program in history", that's what they're comparing themselves to. MNF does not claim itself to be episodic, however, network shows are, like the Simpsons. It's only fair, in all reality, to compare Raw to other episodic weekly programs because that's what they themselves claim to be.
