Ol Dirty Dastard 04-03-2017 12:08 AM

And yeah I'd say this ME was better than last year. Crowd was more into it tbh

rob11 04-03-2017 12:09 AM

As bad as the match was this is one of the most emotional moments in a long time.

Dark One 04-03-2017 12:09 AM

Fully expect Vince McMahon to be crying like a baby on WWE 24

Droford 04-03-2017 12:09 AM

Orlando the Retirement home of Flair and Taker

they can go back in a few years for Cena

Damian Rey 2.0 04-03-2017 12:10 AM

I dunno. I thought the match was actually pretty good. It wasn't a classic or anything but considering the age and health of Taker, I'd have to say I was actually surprised he pulled that match out.

The botches kinda killed it near the end. But nonetheless, I thought it was a solid last match.

Wish they'd have turned Reigns heel but I feel like that ship's gonna sail.

Maluco 04-03-2017 12:10 AM

Just hate to see him finish on that. Lots of mistakes and not befitting of the man.

I think he will be disappointed looking back. The story is, at the end of the day, retiring because he is not physically capable of performing anymore.

Dark One 04-03-2017 12:10 AM

Fucking lost it on the arm raise.

Evil Vito 04-03-2017 12:11 AM

The last larger than life superstar in the company has retired. Feels surreal even if it is needed.

Emperor Smeat 04-03-2017 12:11 AM

This send off for Taker was great.

Dark One 04-03-2017 12:12 AM

Going to cry like a baby at the retrospective tomorrow with this theme...

God damn.

Locke 04-03-2017 12:12 AM

I feel like Undertaker has left the ring the exact same way for the last 5 wrestlemanias

Bad News Gertner 04-03-2017 12:12 AM

Fear the spear

Agree with this. Honestly think Taker did everything he was physically able to.

Roman didn't need to turn heel, but there was nothing interesting he did. He just spammed superman punches and hit a bunch of spears. No growth in his character, no new wrinkles or developments. Just some really vanilla stuff IMO.

Evil Vito 04-03-2017 12:13 AM

Even though I've watched far too much wrestling tonight, I want to pick out an Undertaker classic on the Network to watch before bed. I don't want the last Taker match I see tonight to be that one.

DAMN iNATOR 04-03-2017 12:13 AM

They couldn't spare the extra 90 seconds after all that for the traditional recap? Fuck off, Vince.

Same here. That was like seeing my childhood die in front of me.

Taker vs King Kong Bundy

Blue Demon 04-03-2017 12:15 AM

I witnessed the debut, and I have apparently witnessed the retirement. Thank You 'Taker for everything.

rez 04-03-2017 12:15 AM

I give the whole damn show an F-

The only + were bliss & bella ass. The Hardys.

I'm going to end up turning into that TNA mark psychopath Creature.

rob11 04-03-2017 12:16 AM

I was 6 when he debuted. He transcended generations of fans. Thank you Taker.

johnsmagic 04-03-2017 12:16 AM

Wow this was a bad way to end mania

Triple A 04-03-2017 12:17 AM

That was def the right match to end on imo. Would have been ridiculous to have another match on after that I think.

Because highlights set to Pitbull should definitely follow the heart wrenching send off of the Undertaker.

You are a bigger idiot than I thought.

Simple Fan 04-03-2017 12:18 AM

Pretty good show all around. Watched more than I thought I would and only didn't watch the Raw Women's match.

Nah, not even. 'B' to 'B+' for me. Take out Triple H v. Seth and the one other real bad match (forgot what it was), and I might have even scored it an 'A-' to 'A'.

Frank Drebin 04-03-2017 12:19 AM

As much as I hated that match, the send off what quite a thing. Thank you Taker.

rez 04-03-2017 12:20 AM

Would have been the perfect fucking time for a Sting message. derp derp I bet Angle becoming GM tonight will fix today's shit show.

There goes the last larger than life superstar.

He came into WWE a few months after I started watching. I liked him immediately. Even at his worst, his presence made WWE better. A lot of guys have come and gone but I've never felt a finality like this. I know his presence has been minimal in the past few years but I always figured he'd be back unless it was stated otherwise.

Jordan 04-03-2017 12:20 AM

Wow... that's exactly how I hoped that The Dead Man would be sent off. Perfect, very emotional. Great main event. Really great show, wayyyy to long but that aside, amazing matches all night. I'd say the best was Shane/AJ, Goldberg/Lesnar, Taker/Reigns, Ladder Match, and the fatal four way women's match. Really great WM.

Sounds more like your Oxy and Geritol wore off a bit ago there, Gramps.

APA sucked.

Maluco 04-03-2017 12:22 AM

That was a great Mania and quite an emotional end. I don't think Reigns was the right person to do it and the match and drama of the match suffered because of it. He didn't get his HBK/Flair moment because Reigns isn't a good enough all round performer to do it with, but it was a touching end.

All in all, a variety of great moments and a really quality Mania.

Evil Vito 04-03-2017 12:22 AM

I could see Taker actually not wanting to go into the HOF right away and wanting to miss a Mania or three before re-emerging as a regular guy to do his speech.

Vince will likely want him in as soon as possible though especially with next year being in New Orleans.

None of the matches seemed like instant classics, but all the matches were solid. The Hardyz return and the Last Ride of the Deadman were major WrestleMania moments. Weird feeling WrestleMania, and I'd also give it the B to B+ range. Good WrestleMania, but it could have been one of the all-time great ones with all the potential this card had.

Also...F*ck you,Roman Reigns.

fuck off Damn inator.

Also wanna point out JR called a really solid main event. Not his GREATEST HITS by any means, but he seemed "on". Particularly impressive given what he's been through the past couple of weeks.
