The Star Wars/Darth Vader/Etc. comic books from Marvel the past few years have been pretty fun.

Fignuts 02-26-2019 07:55 PM

Yeah, I read a few of the Darth Vader ones. Good stuff.

ya but you're like 10 different people on this forum. Go fuck yourselves!

Fignuts 02-26-2019 07:58 PM

Well that makes this argument 10-1 in my favor.

The Last Jedi is a better movie, but I would rather watch the prequels.

I have 0 excitement for episode 9.

RP 02-26-2019 10:06 PM

THE LAST JEDI IS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I'VE EVER SEEN!

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-26-2019 10:20 PM

Then you need to see more movies.

Get off the meth....
The prequels rank somewhere between the Ewok Movies and the Christmas Special. Corvette Summer Ranks above the sequels

Kalyx triaD 02-26-2019 10:50 PM

The Last Jedi is abysmal and made me sorry I was so critical of Force Awakens.

Why was it abysmal?

So are you taking back your Rey is "Mary-Sue?"

Lock Jaw 02-26-2019 11:28 PM

lol I never heard the word "Mary-Sue" so much/at all in my life before that

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-26-2019 11:33 PM

Or after

Oh she's still a poorly written Mary Sue. But perspective of time allows me to at least enjoy Force Awakens in general. I can watch FA again. I can watch Rogue One and Solo again. I physically cringe when I see Last Jedi on Netflix. Just about any movie deserves a 'rewatch' clause to get a clear outlook without hype or anything getting in the way.

I just can't bring myself to watch Last Jedi again. It is offensive as a Star Wars product.

Lock Jaw 02-27-2019 10:33 AM

I watched it again and it wasn't AS bad as I remembered.... definitely still a movie that crumbled apart and is not good.... but not as bad as my memory told me. ..

Seanny One Ball 02-27-2019 11:38 AM

Well at least now you know the tactic.

Make each sequel worse and watch the billions flow in. Then re-release the previous film/s with extra features and behold as maniacs revise their negative opinions and don their rose tinted spectacles in order to allow themselves the purchase.

Psychological genius, everybody is too invested in the ride to care what drives them or where they go.

Kalyx triaD 02-27-2019 01:16 PM

I have no reason to get yet another re-release of the old ones, tbh.

Seanny One Ball 02-27-2019 02:36 PM

Millions will think they do, especially for the new "old ones".

Know yourself.

Kalyx triaD 02-27-2019 04:09 PM

What? Know myself?

Seanny One Ball 02-27-2019 05:18 PM

You've just indicated that you have bought several copies of the originals, likely for the extras and re-releases.
You say that as if it works against my(only half joking) assertion that Star Wars is getting worse so Disney can tinker with re-releases and maximise their obscene profit using material that guys like you absolutely will line up repeatedly for because you have a proven track record of buying it already.

Ya dig?

I believe that you wont buy it but again, millions will.

What, no I didn't. The 'yet another' refers to their constant releases of originals not my purchase of them.

Dude: Just. Ask.

Kalyx triaD 02-28-2019 12:21 AM

'Proven track record' lol

Kalyx triaD 02-28-2019 12:23 AM

You seem like you really wanted to say what you said specifically to that kind of Star Wars fan. But it ain't me.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-28-2019 12:53 AM

Currently, I own the six-movie Blu-Ray Collection and the original Saga in a two-disc DVD form which was the original theatrical releases on disc 2.

No need or desire to own the new ones, Rouge One or Solo either.

Fignuts 02-28-2019 01:40 AM

I've been thinking of getting that "unspecial edition" bluray set

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-28-2019 01:46 AM

Haven't heard of that. Unspecial edition I have is a DVD.

Lock Jaw 02-28-2019 01:52 AM

I downloaded the theatrical cuts a few years ago, and it wasn't even the cut I grew up with.

I guess there was a cut between the theatrical and the "special edition". I want that cut.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-28-2019 02:16 AM

Yeah, there was a VHS with enhanced sound before the Special Editions.

Fignuts 02-28-2019 05:29 AM

That VHS set was the one I had growing up.

I have nothing against superfans. I don't understand the love but I understand geeks.

You just wrote your post badly given the context and wording. You can't blame me for that.

Seanny One Ball 02-28-2019 10:10 AM

"I have no reason to get yet another... " is not how I would frame a sentence if I didn't own any.

Seanny One Ball 02-28-2019 10:15 AM

Change ur custom title to Ms Understood.

Palpatine works.

Rammsteinmad 04-13-2019 05:49 AM

Absolutely nothing enticing about that teaser. God, the more I think about the new films the more I dislike them. And I've been a life-long die-hard Star Wars fan.

El Vaquero de Infierno 04-13-2019 06:14 AM

Out of all the new Star Wars films, I think it was only Rogue One that I particularly enjoyed; the others, while not bad, did not grab me, and I went because I wanted to get out of the house/flat.

We could do with a solid decade of no new Star Wars material, but that won't happen; Disney got to milk that cow, baby.
