Brought 1-2 Switch over to my friends' place this weekend. Just a night in of drinking/board games/etc. Took the Switch out and played some of the games. Really fucking fun game. Some of the games are kind of duds but some are awesome in a party type environment.

I still think it's way overpriced for what it is, but I'm glad I bought it at least.

ARMS looks great, comes out June 16th with a 2v2 mode and neon yellow joycons if you want them

Splatoon 2 has a co-op horde mode and new Amiibo (duh). Comes out July 21st.

Cloud and Bayonetta Amiibos can be preordered, both have their player 2 alts (Advent Children and Bayonetta 1 outfit)

For some reason, there are extended JoyCon battery packs going to be available. Is 20 hours of controller time not good enough for some people?

That's some good work. Also funny is Zelda on Switch selling more copies than there are consoles.

I'm digging those yellow Joycons. Gonna grab Arms. And MK8 Deluxe this month. Actually heading to my buddy's place today because he has a copy of Lego City Undercover he's trying to get rid of so I'm gonna scoop that up.

Day 2 of switch: decided to take it into hand held mode. Doesnt work anymore apparently, black screen. Yay.

It happened to me once when i quickly took it out of the dock, and in my case it just needed a hard reset.

Held power button for 15 seconds, then turn on again normally and it worked ok!

That was the first thing i did as well. Alas no. Back lignt powers on. Audio still works. No picture. Works in dock though. Ill beat zelda and then throw it in the trash i guess.

You should send it back to Nintendo straight away, anything i have read has said they are very swift dealing with any issues like this

Cant be too bent out of shape, i cant prove i didnt cause the issue. Is what it is. Defective product all the same. Bery sour taste in my mouth about it. Im more angry with nintendo not repairing it than i am the store.

My friend has one of those loot crate dealios where they send him shit every month. He doesn't have a Switch but got Lego City Undercover and was looking to unload it cheap so I grabbed it. Fun game so far but I worry about the framerate. Looks great though. I mostly wanted to get it to play co-op with my nephew so hopefully the framerate issues I've been reading about aren't that bad

I give it 2 more years, and even then that'll mean it's had an 8 year lifespan which is pretty good

Was tempted at one point, then I watched people with early copies going online and getting fucking destroyed and it scared me off. I'll never be that good at either game.

I've yet to see one in Wal-Mart Target or Best Buy. Its silly cause each store has a display case and games/accessories.

Of course they will have games/accessories they want to sell those things to the people who do own a switch.

So consoles selling out is a sign of doom.

I feel we've reached the zenith of cynical analysis.

Places over here are having a grey re-stock for Mario Kart on Friday, but some places that took pre-orders for that stock like Amazon have already been sold out. Neons are back in May 5th so see how long that lasts.

According to Nintendo, they sold around 2.74 million Switch consoles for its launch month. Around 740k more than they were expecting for best case scenario and ahead of schedule for the 10 million they are hoping before the end of the fiscal year.

In terms of Zelda, sold slightly more than actual Switch consoles for its launch month. Wii U version sold over a million for its launch.

It's basically what they did with the GBA with the GameBoy Micro where they put it out at a cheap price.

They did that Wii Mini too.

Like, that actually looks like probably the best iteration of the xDS line they've come out with to date.

But in typical Nintendo fashion, they come out with this at the exact moment that Switch hype is at pitch fever. Tremendous.
