Don’t know how relevant it is to note, but WBD retains 12.5% ownership stake in CW.

Is their deal with the NWA just dead cause of the whole cocaine fiasco?

The rumors could have been bullshit or exaggerated. Talks between WWE and CW would have been going on for months. I’m sure the coke stuff doesn’t do them any favors with anyone else.

Surprised this happened to Coach, wwe bounced a "check" on him and never made it right.

Big Vic 11-08-2023 12:05 PM

They did something similar to CM Punk right?

Yup, it was an older check he discovered and they wouldn't reissue it.

Ric Flair being signed by AEW seems like the final straw for a lot of people.

Don't forget the "Wooooo" energy drink bandwagon he's also hopped on. Seems to be the only reason he signed, to be able to promote it on air.

Mr. Nerfect 11-08-2023 05:09 PM

You won’t even be able to put Flair out of mind for an entire show.

They should trot him out for the main event just to chop the entire roster and flair flop all over the place.

Mr. Nerfect 11-09-2023 05:14 AM

Andrade wins a chip in a Ladder Match and hands it to Flair. He cashes it in on MJF and wins #17! Woooo!

Mr. Nerfect 11-09-2023 05:14 AM

Flair is the Devil.

Mr. Nerfect 11-09-2023 05:17 AM

MJF is beaten down by a returning Adam Cole to set that into motion. Flair, Andrade, Cole and Samoa Joe form a new version of the Horsemen. The Horsemen Black & Gold, since they’ve been sent over from NXT to destroy AEW. If they can’t use Horsemen, they can call themselves the “H-Men” because of who they work for.

Mr. Nerfect 11-09-2023 05:18 AM

It’s long-term storytelling, because Flair was also the Black Scorpion.

Mr. Nerfect 11-09-2023 05:20 AM

Flair doesn’t have to wrestle. He hands the World Title over to Andrade. Who draws a green “X” on it as a double tribute to CM Punk and Triple H.

Mr. Nerfect 11-09-2023 05:23 AM

Andrade, Samoa Joe, Adam Cole, Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly (w/ Ric Flair)

Vs.

MJF, Goldberg, Billy Gunn & The Acclaimed (w/ Zac Efron)

Big Vic 11-09-2023 02:18 PM

Remember when JR turned heel and had his own announce table made in front of Coles?

I remember someone was meant to be put through it and the table never broke, i think the little raw logo fell off or something and he still walked out saying "you ruined it" or something along those lines.

XL 11-11-2023 03:19 PM

IIRC it was a little JR logo in the style of the WWE scratch logo.

XL 11-11-2023 03:45 PM

Well, WWF scratch logo I guess.

His legs look like they're bowing outwards from the knees down, all that height does come with its issues later in life. Same for Big Show, his return on AEW had people talking with how he was standing with his legs looking awkwardly positioned.

Not a bit of wonder he has back issues, 8 times in 1 night.

Think they're being slightly generous calling that an RKO.

Mr. Nerfect 11-12-2023 05:18 PM

I had no clue Bob Orton did that. Actually pretty cool. Referenced as “The Ace” too.

Mr. Nerfect 11-12-2023 05:23 PM

This probably predates Johnny Ace doing it in Japan, honestly. Laurinaitis claims to have invented the move in 1987, but I think earliest documentation is 1988.

Logan Paul vs LA Knight could be a good dynamic.

Lock Jaw 11-13-2023 03:44 PM

Rey Mysterio's pal Bad Bunny should show up to avenge Rey

Logan Paul v Bad Bunny at WM for the US Title

XL 11-13-2023 03:52 PM

We’re in a crazy world where that actually sounds like a good pairing with a decent payoff.

It’s a while out, but I’m predicting that as a Mania 40 match.
