Wizards started 3-12 now they've won 15 in a row at home and are 28-20 and 4th in the east and only 4.5 back of Cleveland. That about the craziest thing ever

Emperor Smeat 02-03-2017 08:08 PM

By pure luck, NBA managed to get a really hyped up match occur outta nowhere. Winner of Cs-Lakers game tonight ends up becoming the new #1 for most wins all-time in NBA history.

Both conveniently were tied in all-times wins going into tonight's game.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-03-2017 11:14 PM

C's win and best team ever. Suck it!

Droford 02-04-2017 10:42 PM

Wizards 17 game home winning streak on the line Monday vs Cleveland on TNT. Might watch that instead of Raw lol

Ruien 02-09-2017 09:05 PM

WOOO watching my first nba game today. Let's go Westbrook. Already pretty bored.

Ruien 02-09-2017 10:25 PM

Triple douBle!!!!!!!! Westbrook is a beast. Wish I lived in OKC to see him play.

Ruien 02-09-2017 10:25 PM

Cavs look bad compared to last year but it's the regular season so I am sure Lebron is just coasting.

Ruien 02-09-2017 10:33 PM

Feel like OKC would be a bitch of an oppenent to get in the first round. Sure you will win if you are the Spurs or Warriors but it will be rough. Houston could lose the series.

Ruien 02-09-2017 10:34 PM

OKC wins I guess. Westbrook is fun to watch. Don't think Lebron touched the ball in the 4tf. He so does not care. Irving wanted to win but he's no Westbrook. Kevin Love seems like a mediocre player now.

Ruien 02-09-2017 10:36 PM

Some super dark skin player on OKC can shoot. Helped Westbrook get his triple double.

Ruien 02-09-2017 10:37 PM

Hope Westbrook gets a new star to play with. Maybe a PF or C to go with his play style. He should be the face of the NBA.

Ruien 02-09-2017 10:38 PM

Why would anyone watch Portland and Boston?

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-11-2017 10:03 PM

Fab Melo dead at 26.

:( :'( :?:

Bad News Gertner 02-12-2017 12:40 PM

Droford 02-13-2017 10:58 PM

How in the world did the Thunder miss 24 straight shots vs the Wizards. Doesn't sound possible

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-13-2017 11:17 PM

Cause they are cursed for leaving Seattle.

Been like that for decades even when they were great. Some of it due to the city's bad reputation with African American players and some due to the location not being as great like LA or Miami or New York when they are actually good.

Think historically its been Lakers getting big stars usually from free agency while Cs got theirs usually from drafts and trades.

Ah, ya I can see the rep making it not so friendly. Hoping they do get a superstar this year especially with players wanting to find rings now a day. Paul George could easily be there final piece.

Emperor Smeat 05-17-2017 05:00 PM

The Cs did try to get George prior to the deadline but Pacers were asking for way too much. Around 3-4 quality players and next year's 1st Rd pick. Lakers are more likely getting him based on recent rumors.

Think since losing out on George and Jimmy Butler, most of the speculation has been on Jazz's Gordon Hayward likely being the big signing by the Cs this offseason.

Ruien 05-17-2017 07:07 PM

Is Butler still off the table? Feel like my Bulls will go into rebuilding mode.

Emperor Smeat 05-17-2017 08:31 PM

Need to look up his contract status but think at this point, Cs probably rather wait till he's a free agent than make a deal with Chicago who is likely going to ask for a lot or even more.

Then again if the wait is too long, could end up like Boogie Cousins where the Cs ended up losing almost all interest after a while. Had the chance to grab him when the Kings were actually willing to dump him but didn't like what the Kings demanded I think. Probably would have accepted if the deal happened a year or two earlier.

Ruien 05-17-2017 09:03 PM

I think they need to be in the now mind set. They don't need a guard imo since they have Thomas. Trade your #1 pick for George or Butler. If either team wants more than that for their mid card superstar they can eat rocks. I guess Cs could give up like Smart I guess too.

If they really want this #1 pick then trade next year's pick that comes from the Nets. Grab your final superstar and try to win in the next 3 or 4 years.

Ruien 05-17-2017 11:12 PM

Really, I don't think any team will be able to compete with the Cavs unless they have a star at the small forward position. Someone needs to be able to matchup with LeBron. Of course they won't be better than LeBron but if he goes against some scrub it's already game over.

Meh. Lost their mvp and Tony Parker. Pretty sure if LeBron and JR Smith go down they will be swept too by Golden State. Same thing for the Warriors if Durant and Clay to go down to the Cavs.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-24-2017 12:08 AM

Damn it. At least they got one. Hope they can pick up another at Home to bring it back to the Cleve

Emperor Smeat 05-24-2017 12:18 AM

Yeah. Was good they managed to get Lebron in early foul trouble and a big lead for a while but couldn't stop Kyrie's red hot streak while Lebron was benched and the 3rd Q.

Kyrie having almost as many points as the Cs combined in the 3rd Q ended up being a dagger for the Cs chances.

Evil Vito 05-24-2017 11:18 AM

Wish there were a conceivable way for the NBA to have 10-12 viable contenders in any given year, but that's just never going to happen.

Super teams are here to stay.

Ruien 05-24-2017 11:26 AM

There have never been that many teams though. 4, maybe 5 tops, have ever really been contenders.

Really, the playoffs were good for the most part. Jazz/Clippers went 7 games. Same with Cs and Wizards. Houston and Spurs had a really good series.

Of course Warriors and Cavs killed there first 2 match ups. Think if the Patriots played the 8th best team in the ACC. It will be a blowout.

It does suck Spurs lost their mvp and Tony Parker otherwise the Warriors would have been tested.

Evil Vito 05-24-2017 11:33 AM

Yeah but the NBA is as deep as its ever been from a talent standpoint, and it only gets better as more and more great players are coming into the league every year.

I really don't think it's a stretch where you can get to previously unforeseen levels of contending teams instead of dudes just banding together to get a guaranteed Finals trip.

Evil Vito 05-24-2017 11:34 AM

Even with stuff like the Celtics/Wizards series, yeah it went 7 games but everybody knew they were just playing for the right to get dropped by Cleveland. It's just a shame that there is really no suspension of disbelief in the NBA.

Ruien 05-24-2017 11:45 AM

Well, Warriors ran through the league for 2 years before landing Dursnt. Hell, Spurs were the ones who grabbed Aldridge and that failed.

There will always be the teams on top because it's all about who is better at the game. Coaching and such barely matter. You put LeBron on Miami this year and that team will crush the entire east.

Evil Vito 05-24-2017 12:09 PM

Quote:

What about LeBron on the Knicks? :shifty:

Evil Vito 05-24-2017 12:28 PM

An out there idea that obviously has zero chance of happening would be to just kill the draft entirely. All rookies enter as free agents.

The reason being - the real dregs of the NBA are run poorly from the top. Giving them lottery picks just leads to really talented guys wasting their careers. But at the same time, the top 5 level picks are going to want a platform to maximize future earnings, a platform that probably won't be available to them on a team as loaded as the Warriors.

So the hope would be most of the top rookies sign up with the middle of the road teams and you wind up with more actual contenders. The bottom tier teams would still be fucked but there'd still be a potential for a lot more parity than what currently exists.

McLegend 05-24-2017 10:52 PM

Lebron James is lot bigger now then he was in 2010-2011.

No one talks about that, because one cares. I understand.
