Also the funimation app is worth the money

Destor 12-30-2017 01:13 PM

Also not anime but the hbo animated spawn series...

Destor 12-30-2017 03:18 PM

Oh full metal alchemist: brotherhood

Far better than vanilla full metal (vanilla was released before the manga finished so they improvised their own ending...dont recommend...its good but brotherhood is the superior version)

Lock Jaw 12-30-2017 04:46 PM

I watched .hack//sign back in the day and liked it.... but I remember trying to rewatch it once and I found it unbearable.......

One day I would still like to finish the video game series..... played the first two games....

Destor 12-30-2017 06:25 PM

A game about someone playing a game?

So I like really rich animation, very adult and detailed, I prefer not to hear 20 thousand explosions per hour, and really enjoy the deeper themes while having the action still take focus.

Any suggestions for me? Something on Netflix preferably, or Hulu/Amazon/HBO.

Been a while since I saw the entire series but Cowboy Bebop might fit what you want to see.

Yeah they had a series of 4 games for PS2. You played the game, but at the same time you could be on the "desktop" and be getting forum messages and emails from people......

So it was a game simulating someone playing a game.... (that you actually played too )

Seriously am I the only one that watched Godzilla:Planet of Monsters?

Destor 01-31-2018 07:29 PM

I tried. I love godzilla but digital animation turns me off

Fignuts 01-31-2018 07:44 PM

I thought the digital animation in Gundam the Origin looked good, but besides that, I haven't been a fan either.

KIRA 01-31-2018 08:33 PM

This animation looks really good (though I completely understand wanting traditional hand-drawn animation)And besides it couldve been soooooo much worse see:Berserk 2016-17

I enjoyed it overall a few really minor gripes But the ending has me excited to see just how they'll deal with this incarnation of Godzilla who seems ridiculously unstoppable

Kalyx triaD 01-31-2018 08:42 PM

That Godzilla anime is pretty good once you get past the animation. Holy shit at the reveal at the end.

Holy shit is right and seeing it makes Haruo's threat laughable

did you stick around after the credits?

Emperor Smeat 01-31-2018 10:41 PM

There is a Godzilla animated movie?

Looks like I know what I'm watching this weekend.

I didn't think they'd do that and had to go back and check it out. I figure they'd go that angle with the very quick tease in the middle of the movie. Love to see how they managed it for so long.

Netflix's new anime Kakegurui is a bit on the weird side, but alright.

Destor 02-03-2018 10:11 AM

Watched 101. I dug it

Destor 02-18-2018 12:29 AM

Finish Kakegurui. Weirdest anime since kill la kill. I liked it a lot but wouldnt recomend it if you dont like the bizzaar

ClockShot 03-01-2018 06:21 AM

Finished up Blue Exorcist of Netflix this morning. Not bad.

Watching Darling in the Franxx & Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody. Probably start the 2nd half of Fate/Apocrypha on Netflix this weekend.

Fignuts 03-01-2018 07:22 AM

Oh god, High School of the Dead. I can't. I just can't.

Just watched the scene where the camera pans around a bullet as it passes a hair past this girl's camel toe, and then she maneuvers her bouncing tits around a second. Meanwhile, dude firing the bullets is resting the gun on this other girl's chest, and every time he fires, he's jiggling her tits like a plate of jello in slow motion.

I'd be less embarrassed if my entire workplace walked in on me jacking off, than if one person walked in to see me watching this.

I'd say its instantly watchable

I'm really digging black clover. Watched the first couple episodes on toonami and then started moving ahead online. Turns out toonami got in early on this one though, seems they are only maybe 8 episodes behind Japan. Either way it's a pretty fun, lighthearted anime.

Sepholio 03-02-2018 07:51 AM

Also only 3 more episodes of Super to go. I'm betting Goku gets another transformation by then. I mean it's already been like 30 minutes (in the story) since his last new transformation and that's FOREVER in DB time. So he's way past due.

SPOILER: show
He gets the real version of Ultra Instinct by the next episode.

Before that it was incomplete or sort of like Super Saiyan God (red) being the quick stepping stone to the better Blue form.

Sepholio 03-03-2018 09:58 PM

Well that was an epic episode.

Fignuts 03-05-2018 06:51 AM

Latest chapter of Beserk

SPOILER: show

After years and years and fucking years of this book Casca finally has her mind repaired. Whether for good or for bad, we don't know, as the chapter ends with her waking up. (of fucking course)

Big Vic 03-05-2018 09:59 AM

I like how in DragonBall Super they changed up the formula a bit.

Goku thought of his family and friends and was able to power-up to defeat the bad guy.

Hey if it works for Vegeta and Gohan, Why not give it to the main character.

KIRA 03-08-2018 02:42 PM

I hate to admit this but I am digging Usagi Drop

Its a nice break from white-haired angsty pretty boys with ridiculous power ups

Theres something that has bothered me for yrs about Gohan's SS2 transformation why the hell did Android 16 trigger it? I don't think they ever said 2 words to each other (at least in the version of DBZ that aired on CN) It was so random did I miss something?

KIRA 03-14-2018 06:59 AM

Also

The A.I.C.O incarnation english dub has to be heard to be believed I don't think theres ever been a dub this bad

Not Anime but check out Train to Busan
It's a good thing I watched the subtitled first, otherwise I would have never gotten past the first 10 min to see that the movie wasn't bad... just the dubbing

Kalyx triaD 03-14-2018 11:56 AM

Train to Busan is very good.

KIRA 03-15-2018 06:57 AM

Ive seen it and yea it was really good even though I thought I was all zombied/infected out got me to care about every character.

Ill check out the dub but damn its gonna be hard for that to take the throne from Aico becuse the movie itself is good

I don't think it was fully explained and I may just be trying to piece the pieces together.

Gohan to that point, While wanting to be powerful, never really ever had the desire to fight. He would only fight when angered. Android 16 despite being a Android programmed with the only purpose to Kill Son Goku.

So Gohan was raised to be a fighter but never liked to fight, and Android 16, Who was designed to Kill but neither did what they were designed for instead loved and cherished life.

Seeing how they were one in the same, 16 Gave into his programming to Kill Cell (which clearly failed) but because they were similar in there ideals, 16 was basically able to explain to Gohan that it's okay to fight in a way that really none of the other Z Fighters could.
