But yeah, Dig needs a mask. That occasional bank robber ski mask isn't doing it- especially when he's only worn it like twice ever. Also, they play fast and loose with using their real names for eachother in public as it is, and all the masks and hoods in the world isn't going to stop someone from noticing an obviously undisguised Diggle calling his companion Oliver if they didn't already catch on from... well, and undisguised Diggle. |
Holy Shit! Arrow is at it's best when it just goes non-stop, and that's what it was right until the end.
That was really good. |
That wouldn't have happened to Batman.
|
Maybe because Ra's respects Batman, not to mention that Batman is the father of his grandson.
|
Or because Batman could kick his ass.
|
I think Ray Palmer and Laurel step up now, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Ray move into the Arrow cave in the near future.
I'm wondering who is can be the one to save Oliver? Someone we know? A new person? |
Also if I'm a writer on Arrow I'm making Laurel Black Canary in the next epiosde. Laurel is at her best when she is happy, and her being Canary would be as close as you can get.
Also 2 things that I'm not really sure work anymore. 1) Laurel still not telling her Father about Sara. I'm not sure if that's still an intriguing plot line. I think Detective Lance has to find out. 2) Why can't Thea know that Oliver is the Arrow? Thea not knowing he is The Arrow is defintely not an intriguing plot line. Last night is even more interesting if she knows about Oliver's secert. |
Whoa.... Good stuff.... Dammit all at having to wait....
Guess we're getting a Lazarus Pit appearance..... but who will be the one to find his mangled corpse and toss him in? Asian guy? Katana, assuming she survived like everyone from his flashbacks? |
I hope someone who can teach Oliver some more martial arts so he can beat Ra's the next time they fight.
The last thing Oliver sees being Felicity tugged at my heart quite a bit. |
Maybe an eight year old Connor Hawke
|
Arrow is back tonight, Lock Jaw. Time to get pumped.
|
I enjoyed it tonight, and I'm glad it's back. Roy impressed me tonight for the first time I think. Still has a long way to go
That alpha and omega stuff is pretty powerful. Also Laurel really looked like a girl when she swung that staff. |
These mountains can't be that far from the city, because traveling back and forth between the two is really easy apparently.
|
Really enjoyed the episode, as can be expected....
Felicity was on point tonight character-wise...... Brick seems like a cool heel as well. However, I kind of want to see him taken down by the current non-Oliver crew, while Ollie is regaining his strength. Also, again, Diggle really needs a mask. |
Also, why is Amanda Waller trusting a novice with all of these important missions? I get that you want to use the guy and train him up.... but using him as one of the key people in a mission to recover a deadly virus that can kill millions? Yeah... maybe you want to use some of your more experienced people....
|
She probably is setting him up to take some kind of fall.
|
I loved this episode more than most of the series, despite the lack of current day Arrow. Maybe because of the large amounts of character development.
|
I am pumped. Laurel has to show me something tonight.
|
90% of tonight was incredible. One of the best episodes in the entire series.
|
Dunno about that, but was a solid ep
|
Vinny Jones has done well for himself. I liked the mini Dark Knight Rises arc it has going for itself right now.
Laurel is a pretty big negative though. It's good that she's not that good at being, and getting beat up a lot... Still |
Yeah, Vinny Jones real good...
Was hoping for a Ted Grant appearance... would have been good to have him appear, give Laurel a little "motivational boost" and also remind "the viewers" that she has been training. |
Yeah he should play a bigger role. It would be hard to find time for him though.
Also how terrible is Laurel's Black Canary costume? We have covered Laurel physical appearance earlier in this thread(mid season 2), but that costume is not doing her any favors. I kind of feel like she is going to have a short shelf life has Black Canary. I don't see her going through season 4... Also when her Dad does eventually find out about Sara he better have a heart attack to justify for Laurel not telling him. It's totally ridiculous. |
I know the heroes are "busy".... but I keep wondering why they just do nothing about Malcolm Merlyn....
Dude pulled the strings to have Sara killed (via Thea) and then sending Ollie out to likely die... But all they really do is talk to him and warn him not to do anything ELSE. |
I agree, but they can't do anything to him. He would kill all of them.
Now if they turn him over to League they will end up killing Thea. Then question would become would they really kill Thea since she was under mind control basically? Wouldn't Ra's Ah Ghul understand? |
Surely they can at least try to concoct some plan to "outsmart" him, knowing they can't beat him in a fight.
Like how they concocted a plan to "outsmart" Slade Wilson. |
That was Oliver who concocted that plan though. Even with Oliver I don't think they can outsmart him. He did have two earthquake machines after all. That dude thinks of everything.
Also episode 17 is entitled Suicidal Tendencies, and it is another Suicide Squad episode. |
The more I see her acting, the more I wonder why Rila Fukushima wasn't the first choice to be Katana. Phone must be ringing off the hook with offers. Doing a damn good job as a last minute replace.
Agreed with what's being said about Laurel. Was totally hoping Ted Grant would drop in somehow and kick things up a notch. With the way things are going, I ain't digging Black Canary 2.0. And I saw Caity Loitz's name in the credits. Did they seriously just bring her in for a voiceover that episode? |
|
I'm waiting till it makes it apparence on TV before I see it.
Might be the conclusion of the Arrow Rising Triology tonight. |
I loved it.
Poor Oliver |
Ehhhh... I'm just not feeling Merlyn... it just pushes it a bit for me how they are fitting him in now that he is a main cast member....
Rolled my eyes when Roy was trying to defend him, and throw "the undertaking" in a rosy positive light of Merlyn just trying to do good. Felicity is pretty much the only one reacting like how they should all react. Also... Ollie was stabbed in what looked like his heart (but yet only had bandages on his stomach) and tossed off a cliff.... must be some damn good medicine to bring a guy back from that... I hope this is expanded on further, because right now it is also pushing incredulity. |
Yeah you aren't wrong. I do think he needs Merlyn to train him in order to beat Rhu's, but obviously Merlyn is going to screw him in the end.
I feel like Oliver should have been away for longer to recuperate as well. Maybe there is some sort of mystical healing he had after all? Also looks like next week is going to be a Laurel centric episode... Not loving that. |
I love Laurel..,
|
That's good she needs people to love her. There isn't many out there.
She's just kind of a buzz kill. |
She is alright. Just looked weird in season 2. Think she has improved in the current season.
|
|
I knew he came back at one point.
Totally dislike Laurel has Black Canary. Not feeling it at all. Other then that good stuff. Thea, did have a good quick turn on Malcolm Merlyn there. |
Yeah it was pretty quick but for 90% of the series she was Oliver's number one fan.
