Bargain.

road doggy dogg 03-12-2015 03:01 PM

I was thinking more along the lines of "that's backup money".. which sucks because he is potentially one of my keepers this year in fantasy :fu:

Ruien 03-12-2015 03:04 PM

Whow........ Must be a really tight market for RBs this year. That is crazy.

road doggy dogg 03-12-2015 03:08 PM

Brandon Browner to the Saints (3yr/$15M)

Antonio Cromartie to the Jets

Simple Fan 03-12-2015 03:10 PM

What's crazy is Murray choosing the Eagles over the team that just led him to the rushing title. Goood luck finding those monster holes in Philly. .

road doggy dogg 03-12-2015 03:15 PM

You're kidding right? Philadelphia had arguably a better O-line than Dallas last year.

Huge sigh of relief over here. Although watch him not do shit after a career year @29.

James Steele 03-12-2015 03:25 PM

Eagles are going to be fucking scary if they can find a WR and shore up the defense.

James Steele 03-12-2015 03:29 PM

Im just a fan, you sound like a Saints fan. Delusional and bitter.

James Steele 03-12-2015 03:30 PM

The more I think about the Murray deal, the more I'm growing sick to my stomach.

Evil Vito 03-12-2015 04:24 PM

While I of course would have much preferred Murray out of the division altogether, I do prefer him in Philly to Dallas. Feel like Murray could have the come-down year that a lot of RBs have after a year where they carry a huge workload. Thing is Dallas' O-line is so ridiculous he would have still thrived. Not sure how he'll be in an Eagles offense that pretty much never slows down.

Was hoping the Pats would have been able to keep Browner with the freed up money from not getting Revis. Secondary is going to suck next season especially since they didn't even get their backup choice of Cromartie.

Evil Vito 03-12-2015 04:30 PM

Don't see how Philly/Dallas isn't the week 1 SNF game now.

I mean, NBC COULD go with Philly/NE for the Thursday night opener but non-conference games usually wind up being a late afternoon Fox game or something.

Emperor Smeat 03-12-2015 05:28 PM

Texans signed Rahim Moore.

49ers released Stevie Johnson and Colts released Trent Richardson.

Not bitter just think Murray committed career suicide. Leave the best O line in the league to play in a spread offence that will see him get the ball 15 to 20 times a game. Dallas will be fine without him.

road doggy dogg 03-12-2015 06:17 PM

That makes... even less sense

A season after coming off 497 touches, getting 15-20 carries a game is absolutely perfect. Eagles' O-line graded out better than Dallas' for run blocking too

I don't even

What?

Simple Fan 03-12-2015 06:30 PM

Sure if you don't want the ball in you hands about 6 times a drive and would rather play for a team that has 2 other good backs to take your touches away, it makes since. I would want to be the main guy getting the ball every drive racking up yards but that just me.

#1-norm-fan 03-12-2015 06:32 PM

My hatred of Murray leaving is mostly just sentimental. Dallas does have the best o-line in football but he wasn't JUST a product of it. He's a great running back. I can't fault Dallas for not wanting to overpay for him though. He's a guy who has been injury prone and is just coming off a season where he touched the ball a record amount of times which doesn't bode well for him. Not to mention the constant fumbles.

They can find someone who can be productive behind that line for much less money. He might not be Murray great but if they can find a guy who produces anywhere near what Murray did and can pay him far less money, it'll be better for them in the long run than crippling the team financially for years to come on a handful of players.

Football Outsiders and Pro Football Focus both rated Eagles' line as best in the league for run blocking

On the whole, Dallas' line was better but for a RB Eagles' line wasn't awful

Crimson 03-12-2015 07:46 PM

Damnit. I agree with whoever said Chip Kelly will come out of this a genius ,or going back to college.

I don't trust Sanchez or Bradford winning or even taking them to the Superbowl. Their defense is upgraded , they still need decent receivers, its not like they have Tom Brady to elevate anyone.

I don't blame Murray at all, just sucks it had to be with Philly.

ClockShot 03-12-2015 08:29 PM

Chefs release Dwayne Bowe.

DeMarco Murray to the Eagles. What the hell is Chip Kelly doing there? Must be like hypnotizing free agents over the phone or something.

McLegend 03-12-2015 09:50 PM

Eagles are keeping Matthews.

Hate the whole argument if someone does not win the Super Bowl it was a failing season. If they make the playoffs and get out of the wildcard round I would call it a success. Don't feel like no matter who they kept or got they would lose to Seattle in the playoffs.

Simple Fan 03-13-2015 11:24 AM

McFadden to the Cowboys. Hopw they draft a RB though.

road doggy dogg 03-13-2015 11:45 AM

Dallas somehow managed to get themselves an RB that is going to be more injury-prone than someone coming off a near-500 touch season this year. Bravo. At least he only got a $200k signing bonus, so he's an easy cut.

road doggy dogg 03-13-2015 11:46 AM

@Droford/screech; Baltimore looking at Dwayne Bowe and/or Stevie Johnson

Evil Vito 03-13-2015 12:56 PM

CJ Spiller to the Saints. That actually seems like a really good fit for him. Would be a good compliment to Ingram.

road doggy dogg 03-13-2015 01:36 PM

Rams sign Nick Fairley (1yr/$5M) :fu:

Kenny Stills to the Dolphins for Ellerbe and a 3rd round pick.. nice pickup

Ruien 03-13-2015 01:41 PM

Oh damn, did not know Fairley was a free agent.

Love Bowe, would v much be good with him signing.

Ruien 03-13-2015 02:43 PM

Did the Chiefs have a WR catch a touchdown last year? I know it was 0 going into the last 2 weeks of the season.

screech 03-13-2015 03:06 PM

They did not

Requiem 03-13-2015 03:15 PM

Colts got some good pickups this year, and they still have approximately ~9mil in cap space to play with. Didn't get a boost at safety that they needed, but goddamn if that offense doesn't look terrifying now. Plus the 2 major DE signings. With Mathis back, they might actually have a run defense this year. Gonna be fucking tits. I'm hella excited for Gore and AJ to be joining the team. Never really followed Gore, but AJ is a hell of a player and his veteran presence could be vital in the next few years without Reggie. I foresee at least one ring, maybe a couple SB appearances that maybe end with another ring. They've got the pieces there. They've cut the dead weight and "problem" players (*cough* Richardson *cough* Landry *cough*), and picked up some really impact players. Can't wait to see what they do in the draft now.

Players signed
 • Todd Herreman OG l 1 yr l $3.5 million l Eagles
 • Trent Cole DE l 2 yrs l $16 million l Eagles

 • Frank Gore HB l 3 yrs l $12 million l Eagles/49ers
 • Kendall Langford DE l 4 l $17 million l Rams
 • Andre Johnson WR l 3 yrs l $21 million l Texans

Players re-signed

 • Trent Richardson HB

ClockShot 03-13-2015 04:01 PM

Percy Harvin to the Bills. 1 year, $5 mil.

ClockShot 03-13-2015 04:03 PM

Broncos lost Terrence "Potroast" Knighton to the Redskins.

This one hurts. The Vance Walker pickup better be worth it.

Emperor Smeat 03-13-2015 04:06 PM

Trent Richardson filed a grievance against the Colts regarding the $3.1 million he was set to make for next season and triggers in his clause. According to him, the Colts purposely misled him about the status of his contract while also finding ways to get his money voided for next season.

ClockShot 03-13-2015 04:08 PM

Shouldn't his agent/Browns covered this with him when he signed the deal in the first place?

Ruien 03-13-2015 04:28 PM

If anything T Rich needs to pay the Colts for being horrible.

Emperor Smeat 03-13-2015 04:57 PM

Raiders expected to sign Christian Ponder to a 1 year deal.
