lol did everyone see that?

I told them to "Get a room."

Fignuts 09-26-2012 12:51 AM

Oh, and still not liking how The Boys is shaping up to end.

So fucking dumb.

good God that was depressing

Fignuts 09-28-2012 02:08 AM

Damn, I really wish that would have gotten left in.

Kalyx triaD 09-28-2012 02:09 AM

Yeah I feel for the guy.

...But he should have gotten her number. And this makes her shots in the final battle more fitting, including what she said in that interview afterward.

Fignuts 09-28-2012 02:26 AM

Cap definitely deserved a bit more thorough intro than he got in the final cut, considering he is kind of the field leader. Or at least he is once they stop pummeling each other in the face.

This would have been perfect.

Blitz 09-28-2012 02:35 AM

Yeah great scene, shoulda been in there.

Just the shot of his reflection in the computer screen after turning off the propaganda film...genius.

That one I'm okay with being cut.

Skippord 09-28-2012 02:57 AM

I enjoyed the Maria Hill Framing devices that got cut out

XL 09-29-2012 02:33 PM

Pretty lacklustre set of extras on the Avengers Blu Ray, tbf.

Not sure if it's aready been mentioned but some of the main characters for SHIELD have been named. Not sure how credible a source this is though.

SKYE | This late-20s woman sounds like a dream: fun, smart, caring and confident – with an ability to get the upper hand by using her wit and charm.

AGENT GRANT WARD | Quite the physical specimen and “cool under fire,” he sometimes botches interpersonal relations. He’s a quiet one with a bit of a temper, but he’s the kind of guy that grows on you.

AGENT ALTHEA RICE | Also known as “The Calvary,” this hard-core soldier has crazy skills when it comes to weapons and being a pilot. But her experiences have left her very quiet and a little damaged.

AGENT LEO FITZ and AGENT JEMMA SIMMONS | These two came through training together and still choose to spend most of their time in each other’s company. Their sibling-like relationship is reinforced by their shared nerd tendencies – she deals with biology and chemistry, he’s a whiz at the technical side of weaponry.

Are they established Marvel characters or original characters?

The Destroyer 10-02-2012 01:11 PM

Never heard of any them.

Not necessarily their final names though, looks like they could be from casting ads and I've seen a lot of those in the past which just use any old name.

Yes visually, but that is actually War Machine in some fresh propaganda paint. Great to see them use the whole suits rather than the football mocap stuff.

Kalyx triaD 10-02-2012 05:07 PM

IM3 is filming in Miami, I think in South Beach. I should get out there and... do something.

Invade the set swinging your Thor's hammer.

Kalyx triaD 10-02-2012 09:09 PM

Complete with lines from their fight.

Fignuts 10-02-2012 10:25 PM

Avengers vs X-men 12 comes out tomorrow.

Was kinda "meh" on the first couple issues, but they quickly turned it around, and now I can't wait to read the conclusion. This has been the best major crossover since civil war. Maybe better.

Fignuts 10-03-2012 10:45 AM

Great ending. Gonna buy the trade when it hits.

I'm guessing not particularly credible, because I'd hope that a casting call would know the difference between "cavalry" and "calvary."

Lock Jaw 10-03-2012 01:44 PM

I have seen the same info reported elsewhere (spelling mistake included), so I am guessing it is legit.

Kalyx triaD 10-03-2012 03:22 PM

Remember Whedon likes to use placeholder names and characters for his projects.

Kalyx triaD 10-03-2012 03:23 PM

Then again, the media has been largely on point with Marvel happenings.

Kalyx triaD 10-03-2012 04:51 PM

Started a proper Iron Man 3 thread where all news and media will be posted. Official trailer was announced to launch Oct 23.

The Walking Dead recurring player Michael Rooker, who previously appeared in writer-director James Gunn's Super and Slither, says he wants to play Rocket Raccoon in the upcoming Marvel movie: I love raccoons. Raccoons are my friends (Laughs)!...Oh, yeah. Most certainly. I know that James Gunn is doing it. He is directing it, and he is re-writing it. He is a very loyal director. He is a very loyal writer, when it comes to working with people that he knows and loves. He really appreciates the efforts that each actor puts into these roles. And I would be very honored and pleased to work with James Gunn again... Whether it will happen or not, I don't know. But he is a dynamite guy, and we have remained friends ever since we worked together on Slither.

He also notes that he has particular experience relevant to the role of Rocket Raccoon, as he did motion capture work for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. More at the link, including his call for fans to campaign for him to get the role.

If you look at the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon as a superhero JD from scrubs, you begin to hate it less.

Superior Spider-Man with Dan Slott looks cool and it'll stick with it. I'm glad I still will only buy 3 monthly Marvel books and not a crap ton of NOW books.

Nowhere Man 10-12-2012 12:38 AM

Dan Slott has been incredibly good on Spider-Man, but after reading up on what they're going to do with it, I have no interest whatsoever in a "dark and gritty" Spider-Man. I read Spidey because he's a fun, wise-cracking smartass who's able to grin and bear it even through the worst of times, not because he's fucking Batman with web-shooters.

Also, ten bucks says the whole thing that turns him into a dark and violent anti-hero is that somebody kills Mary Jane. That's pretty much the only thing they haven't done to him yet.

Kalyx triaD 10-12-2012 04:09 AM

Read AvX 12. Cute.

Fignuts 10-12-2012 10:35 AM

I like that Cyclops isn't just absolved, and in fact, he almost seems remorseless.

Kalyx triaD 10-12-2012 03:08 PM

Yeah he's going down a dark path. Logan seems to pissed to talk to him.

Miotch 10-12-2012 03:19 PM

I would like to see Scott Summers die a brutal death, but I felt that way long before he killed Xavier.
